I want your deepest observations about docs hair that looks like it defies gravity/silly
Let's start by: How are you questioning doc's hair instead of the fact that his skin is the vibrant color BLUE and is KILLING ZOMBIES. Or the variation of behavior between these zombies, or why there's a giant specimen, bigger than any human or animal body known on earth, that spits fire, or why bombs are pill-shaped, larger than the airplanes releasing them and cause a relativiely diminute damage. The Doctorine universe (and almost all of Nilfruit's works) present themselves as either: a) A parallel timeline b) (Specifically for Doctorine) A metaverse Considering case A, we have to know that: Doctorine defies the laws of physics as we know it. Maybe not all of them, but we can use as an example Doc's hair. Hair strands wouldn't organize themselves or move as this if Doctorine was situated in the same universal laws as ours. As much as we have zombie-like diseases that spread around fawns and cows, they're still not developed in humans, much more to a apocalypse level. There's no human sub-species we know that has blue as a possible skin color (not counting the deceased, but even so, they wouldn't move). The anatomy is innacurate. We can be talking about a parallel timeline. So, we need to understand what a parallel timeline is.
according to Quantum Physics (making it as brief as possible), unless absolutely sure of a particle's exact position and state, there are countless possibilities of how it could organize itself. When not observed, a particle, simultaniously can share both states. Only upon exact observation, its situation can be pinpointed. These possibilities interact with each other to estabilish their probabilities of happening, which sustains that they do exist. Another important concept to note to start the analysis is counterfactual definiteness - the ability to define something (or the possibilities of something) without observing it, by the means of considering all the possibilities and cauculating them. We can use a box of matches as an example. If you have lit up a match before, you know it's pretty tricky. It has to be completely dry, you have to apply force, and the match has to light up upon the spark. With conterfactual definiteness, without experiencing the act to light up a match, we can define that all of the alternatives have happened and interact with each other. (match not lighting up due to wet box, not enough force, the spark happening but not lighting up the fire), but that's a VERY silly example. A ray of light (or photon) would be a better example. Placing a ray of light in front of a mirror will make the light reflect. The light can be placed in various different ways and the mirror can be in many different positions. If we don't know one or the other, that's when conterfactual definiteness comes to use. In this case, all the possibilities would be happening as truly as each other at the same time. (the light not hitting the mirror, the light not being lit and all the possible places the light could hit and reflect). Quantum theory supposes that all of them are real and questions our sense of time, space and reality. Is it the only one? If a factor was organized slightly different, what would happen and is happening? Considering this, Doctorine could be a very distant parallel possibility in which hair cells are organized differently, that there was some sort of scientific flaw that made zombies exist (and be behaviorally inconsistent) and that someone's skin could be blue due to the extreme presence of the blue pigment on the organ and the (somehow) survivance. That's one explanation, yet a bit more farther off thinking, it its technically completely true too. We cannot examine Doctorine because we cannot reach it, it could be very much existent, as much as it cold not. It is a cat that is both dead and alive. Considering option B, it's a bit simpler. As previously stated, the anatomy in Doctorine is inconsistent. The colors are vibrant. The situations are fun or adventurous. Doc and Rinu seem to mock the absurdity of it all, as if it wasn't really happening. There's screens everywhere, even a frame of Rinu connected to several machinery. As it could have been used as symbolism for her "losing the battle" of sobriety, it could also be that Doctorine is situated in a metaverse. A metaverse is a digital alternate reality with full immersion, where ideally, all senses would be connected to the digital world. Touch, smell, vision, etc... So it would be reallyrealistic and difficult to point out. The "addiction" spoken about in Doctorine could be the addiction to what's not real, to this reality in which all are zombies to lies. In which people are blind to reality and decide to retreat to an easier alternative (hence why represented as zombies and not inheritly evil). This explains Doc's hair. It doesn't have to portray itself realistically. The graphics of the game are cartoon-ish. So, there's also option C, which I haven't mentioned before, but it might be a bit shocking, because it's the most approximate to reality. Doc's hair might be like that because Doctorine is not real and the animators said so. I think that's a good explanation. Easier than the last two. I think.
