I made this note a few months ago when initially rewatching this season: (while watching these few episodes I genuinely had so much fun!! I’ve only watched season 1 once, so this is my first time rewatching it, and man does it feel nice to not only be able to understand most of it (a huge upgrade since last time lol), but also have it feel like a new show since I don’t remember this season at all!! all in all, I’m having so much fun doing this c:)

It was first revealed as a teaser for the second season of Kang's Kitchen but it was only released today with an extra verse by Kyuhyun (or his alter ego HipKyu). It's just too funny and so catchy.

//so in honour of Sechskies’s 23rd Anniversary, here’s a lil something for you all! 23 years guyss, 23! I hope y’all enjoy this!//

Eun Jiwon:

-picks you up

-loses his words as soon as you appear because you were the most beautiful person he ever seen

-brings you to a fancy restaurant, pull your chair for you, wait for you to choose. when you chose something with a side salad, he judged you and scrunched his face

-you talked and talked, and he shared a story about his time filming NJTW

-once you both are done with the meal, he offered his arms and you slid your arms through as you walked to the cashier.

-you insisted to pay but he denied and said you can pay for dessert

-so you both got ice cream (he paid again), and sat at the nearby park where you continue taking and laughing about everything and anything under the sun.

-he drove you home and sent you to your door.

-you were standing with your back against the door and him facing you, wishing time would stop

-he just stared at you and to hide the blush that’s growing on you, you turned to open the door

-but he grabbed your wrist and turned you, “can I kiss you”

-you nodded, closed your eyes as he closed in on you. His breath, his warmth radiated and you thought your heart was gonna leap out on you

-he broke the kiss, hands still on your cheeks, “let’s do this again”

-you blushed so hard, and he just smiled. he waited for you to close the door before leaving.

Lee Jaijin:

-waits for you at the entrance of the museum, nervously

-tells himself that he’s not but when you appear from a distance with your cute dress and curled hair, he felt like his heart was gonna come out of his chest

-“Heyyy! You look great!”

-You were sure that you could feel like ears burning up, and so he laughed at you and brought you in the museum

-you know a bit of art, here and there. But when Jaijin explained to you a portrait, you just wanna listen to him talk forever

-he brought you to a not so crowded gallery and told you how this portrait was his favourite. he likes looking at it if he’s in need of inspiration

-you both then head for dinner at a nearby cafe.

-you guys talked and talked and realised there was nothing to be nervous. Jaijin was ready kind and responsive

-after the dinner, he dropped you off at your house.

-just before you exit the car, he grabbed your forearm and hesitated.

-you looked at him, and he finally said, “do you wanna go out with me again?”

-if only he could hear your heart beating so fast.

-“yes”, you said and kissed the side of his cheeks before leaving

Kim Jaeduck:

-soft boi Jaeduck would pick you up at your front door and pace around nervously

-when you came out, he lost his words because damn you look so out of the world

-you waved your hands in front of his face and he snapped out of his daydream

-Jaeduck brought you to a bowling alley because.., well he’s jaeduck

-“if I win, we will go out again. How about that?” he teased, knudging his elbows.

-“and if I win?” you challenged.

-“then you can choose whatever you want” he grinned.

-Jaeduck started first, and he got a spare. When it was your turn, you got 7 pins. You could see the smug on his face.

-Jaeduck was confident he will win, till the 3rd round onwards. You were getting strikes and spares every round.

-YOU WON.

-“you liar! You said you weren’t good”

-“I said, I wasn’t good because my friends all played Bowling in college” you shrugged

-“fine, what’s your wish?” he asked, wary

-“let’s eat first!”

-and so you did, you headed to the cafe nearby. Jaeduck made jokes, tells you about the time he almost died during dance practice. And you told him about your day, how you are enjoying each day.

-the day ended and he walked you home. “You still haven’t tell me what you want”

-you smiled and before you went home, you looked at him, “my wish is to have a second date”

-Jaeduck just looked at you, surprised. And then broke into the cutest smile.

-he pinched your cheeks lovingly, “you could have just said. You just wasted a wish”

-“I’m more than happy to waste it on you”

Kang Sunghoon:

-Sunghoon will be waiting for you at the lobby with chocolates.

-when you came out, he broke into a smile, excited to see you, but, nervous

-he greeted you and passed you the chocolates.

-Sunghoon would surprisingly bring you to mini Golf, because well he wanted to be “unconventional”

-it wasn’t a bad place, the mood was cool and you actually had the opportunity to play Golf and still talked to him.

-he discussed with you on his latest projects, and things he want to try to do. You told him about your day and how you’re excited for summer to come because you wanna go to the water park.

- “hey if I make this shot, you will go to the waterpark with me”

-you nodded your head, and ushered for him to make the shot.

-and he shot, but it missed the hole. you were disappointed, you hoped that it went him because you wanted to go to the waterpark with him.

-Sunghoon saw your expression and went to the ball and rolled it into the hole, “so do you want to go the waterpark with me?”

-your disappointed face now broke into a small smile and you quickly headed for the next course.

-after the mini Golf reaches its end, both of you chilled at park nearby.

-you guys continued talking and you realised you were slowly having good feelings for the man

-“hey, you didn’t give me an answer” he asked suddenly.

-“you looked down, swinging your feet, “of course I want to”

Jang Suwon:

-classic suwon would bring you for movie and dinner.

-he would wait anxiously for you at the theatre, with the tickets and popcorn and drinks

-when you arrived, he almost dropped the popcorn he was holding because you look really good.

-“woahhhhh” you hurried, saving the popcorns

-suwon regained his conscious, “so I got the stuffs, shall we?”

-you held his arms, “we shall”

-movie was great and occasionally, you would bump hands with suwon when taking the popcorns. In which he will, break into a smile and let you have your turn

-“man, the movie was bad. I’m sorry” he confessed

-“it’s fine, who would have known”

-so dinner was a quiet bbq house. Both of you couldn’t stop talking about how bad the movie was and it made you realise how much you matched each other.

-you talked about food, hobbies, pet peeves, favourite dessert, tips and tricks on surviving in a deserted island.

-and when it suddenly got quiet, suwon suddenly asked, “let’s do this again?”

-you stopped grilling the meat and looked at him, searching for hints in his eyes

-“okay, but I’ll pick the movie next time” you said

one dragonball hater vs three fans [NJTW S1 E3]

in this episode Hodong is EXPOSED for his non-existent knowledge of Dragon Ball. Also he protests about the entire concept of using dragon balls lol. please enjoy! ‎♡‧₊˚‎

공중파 - public TV network, (airwaves)

거치다 - pass, go through (usually a period or some circumstances)

목적지 - destinatination

산만하다 (산만한) - distracted, unfocused, vague

초딩 - a slang word kinda, meaning "an elementary school kid", (used a lot jokingly, to call someone or their preferences childish, meaning is light-hearted and not offensive)

비글 - someone, who has a personality, similar to a beagle! this person is playful and kind (inspired by this word I'm actually working on a whole post about different dog breed personality types, find it here)

도저히 - possibly, completely (used a lot just for enhancing the existing meaning)

진도 - progress (usually used in phrases where the word progress is implied and not translated directly, like "it's not going well", "it's coming along nicely"),

자료화면 (자료 화면) - data screen

대체하다 - to substitute

…나라 - used for term “dynasty”, so Han Dynasty -> 한나라

화제 - topic (화제가 되다 - to become the talk of the town)

두고 오다 - to leave behind (the structure of this is really fun, the direct meaning is "put" + "come", so instead of saying you forgot something, you divide it into two actions, first putting it somewhere and then arriving without it)

판씩 - 판 seems to be a counter word like 개, 마리, 명 etc, meaning "round"/"edition"; the grammar 씩 means "each"

최종 - final, the last (more about particle 최 here)

난생처음 (난생 처음) - for the first time in life

오로지 - only, nothing but (seems to be similar in use to 일뿐)

벼락치기 - hasty preparation, (used a lot with studying & exams , has a slightly different translation of cramming)

멀쩡하다 - unaffected, intact, in perfect shape

혼동 - confusion, (used in forms 혼동이 오다, 혼동에 빠져 있다)

쏟아내다 (쏟아낼 예정) - pour out, burst, spill out (grammar ㄹ 예정 means something is expected)

오덕 & 덕후 - nerd, (actually comes from Korean spelling of "otaku")

근사하다 - great, wonderful

신묘한 - mysterious, magical (this went on to be a name for the njtw's mascot♥️)

귀하다 (귀한) - precious, priceless

구슬 - bead, ball (something with a round shape)

성구 - (not important at all, so feel free to skip! translated to "prayer, phrase" but I'm still confused as to why it was used with the description of dragonballs...)

소원을 들어주다 - to grant a wish

파괴되다 - be destroyed

흔한 - commonplace, familiar

인증 - verification, conformation

당췌 - (my best guess is that it's a form of 도대체, "exactly/really" with sub-meaning "even", eg "도대체 뭐 하는거야?", "what exactly are you doing?")

물러가다 - leave (but fancy), retire from (in terms of leaving a place)

어그로 - "agro" or agression, (also seems to be used as a slang for interntet trolls? yk cause of "orge")

반발하다 - oppose, resist

악당 - villain

정모 - a regular get-together (not used that often it seems)

소외감 - feeling of alienation, being left out

진행하다 - to lead (especially a tv show, like a host does) (also to progress, to head to)

려고 들다 (하려들어) - an upgraded version of a grammar 려고 하다, where the user is even more determined to do something, watch the explanation here (in part 려고 the syllable 고 sometimes can be omitted)

협상능력 - negotiation ability

봉쇄 - blockade

당하다 - grammar that means, that someone suffered because of someone else, eg "이혼했다" - "I divorced" VS "이혼 당했다" - "I suffered a divorce" (meaning that the speaker didn't want this to happen)

본사 - headquarters

나서다 - interfere, set out, go with a purpose

힘 합치다 - cooperate, work together (literally "to put strength together")

굉장히 - very, extremely

전용 - exclusive, privat, only (used a lot in phrases like "resident-only area" etc)

혜택 - benefit

위엄 (세워주다) - dignity

넉넉한 - generous, plentiful

경비 - expense

제외 - exemption (제외하다 - to be exempt)

대충 하다 - to do something sloppily, to half-ass something

“I can’t believe you don’t like Disney movies” with Eun Jiwon

It’s a Thursday night. A few hours ago you were bored to death so you invited Jiwon over to your house. Your original plan was to quietly watch a movie and cuddle, the so called “Netflix ‘n’ chill”. Unfortunately, you didn’t consider the fact that you would start fighting over the movie to watch.

Firstly, he suggested watching a comedy; you didn’t want to, so you proposed to watch a horror movie. He said that he wasn’t in the right mood, so he suggested a sci-fi. You try to stay calm as you propose to watch a Disney movie.

“What makes you think that I’ll sit here and watch The Beauty and the Beast?” he huffs.

“The fact that you love me?” you ironically answer. He rolls his eyes.

“I do love you. But I don’t like all that Disney shit.” he explains, as your eyes grow wide.

“I can’t believe you don’t like Disney movies.” you say.

He shrugs his shoulders. “They sure are good movies. But, you know, they’re good for children.”

“You're really not the one to make that argument!” you shout, shaking your head. “You’re the childish one among all your friends!”

He huffs. “Can’t we watch like a Jackie-chan movie?”

“Absolutely not.” you answer, as you get up from the sofà. “Why don’t you go watch your stupid movies at your house?”

“Are you really offended by the fact that I don’t like Disney movies?” he asks with a giggle. You roll your eyes. “C’mon, I’m sorry. Let’s watch it.”

“You don’t have to if you don’t want to.” you say, as he comes to you.

“It’s okay.” he says, hugging you from behind. “But next time we’ll watch a Jackie-chan movie.”

You shake your head. “Whatever, you idiot.”
