warning for tbv chapter 8 rambling below! except it’s mostly about mitsuki bc that’s my thing here lmao
as much as i find it funny that the dudebros on twt are distraught for thinking the manga maybe confirmed mitsuki’s gay, im also irreparably distressed over how quickly theyre jumping on these conclusions over a… kind of faulty translation
anyway i love the eida-mitsuki conversation so much. mitsuki’s bringing forth the love he feels for eida and how that he knows it’s brought to fruition by her powers was rly nice. i love the approach he’s taking being all introspective and contemplative over emotions as an artificial human. it’s nice that he’s able to relate with eida regarding their feelings towards another person. eida very self consciously calling their convo a girls talk + the way it happened with mitsuki of all people was cute. i think that moment did amazing at humanizing two not-so-human characters. they make me sad lmao these two need more real relationships fr
the thing with mitsuki is that he’s a little.. flat (not like in a doylist way). make no mistake he’s got layers plus promising potentials — but they’re quite untapped (<- boruto knows this). mitsuki’s aware of it too, in that thought he’d be just fine as long as he’s got his sun. him being thankful to eida that he got to know what it’s like to experience “love” i think was a breach in this constant. the omnipotence intervention literally kind of meddled with mitsuki’s code to the point it kickstarted his development toward becoming more human. idk where im going with this lmao sorry i’m just ecstatic to see him get development in the manga. shoutout to the few normal mitsuki fans who’ve waited years for this i guess
