#no one’s allowed to make wishes with the miraculouses because very bad consequences right?

You know what would be kind of a messed up finale plot? Hawkmoth gets ahold of the miraculouses and despite how off track he’s gotten, still uses his wish for Emilie
Instead of everything being great tho, the wish starts causing catastrophic damage to the universe, and in the end it’s Emilie herself who has to make the choice to undo the wish, even knowing what it means for her life
And then the series just ends.

MASTERLIST | PREV Context: Damian had finished inspecting Alicia’s school (while pretending to be a sponsor) and wants to change her school but finds out he can’t since he isn’t her parent. As he’s making his way back to his car, he meets Luka. Luka was in the area since he picked up Alicia on that day (Tuesday and Thursdays), so he was walking around until it was time to pick Alicia up. The two decide to talk, but Luka has had enough interrogation and decides to divert his attention elsewhere.
Damian watched as Luka walked away from him, his eyes following Luka until he became a distant dot. As much as he wished he had successfully posed a threat to Couffaine, Damian knew Alicia played a part as well; it was almost 4:30, the time children were expected to start leaving their respected schools.
If memory serves him right, Alicia was turning 7 this year, meaning she was in 11ème. That is, if Alicia never repeated a grade or skipped one.
He made his way to his car, closing the door behind him with a large slam. Exhaling, Damian allowed himself to relax against the backrest, when he heard a ping echo through the car interior. Pressing something on the screen, a voice spoke.
“Sorry to bother you Mr.Wayne, but Olivia here with news about the test you requested.” Damian let out a deep huff. The moment of truth was dawning on him.
However, he opted to listen to the result later. He wanted more time to believe there was a slight chance that things went his way for once in this situation.
Staring out the window, he watched as Alicia came into view at the school gate, quickly being scooped up by Luka into an embrace, causing Alicia to erupt into a giggling frenzy.
Despite not being able to see her face clearly, he could already imagine the giant toothy grin the girl had as she was lifted onto her father’s shoulders.
He watched as the father and daughter duo walked away when Alicia started to flail and fall from her father’s shoulders when she violently jerked in the direction of the school. His heart stopped.
He let out a breath he didn’t know he was holding when he saw that Luka had caught her just in time.
Also, when did he get out of his car?
He watched as Alicia told Luka something between the sobs, her hands frantically pointing from the school to herself, to her neck and back to the school.
He continued to watch as Luka tried to calm Alicia, holding her hand and wiping her tears away. Damian felt his heart tighten at the sight of her distraught and the sobs that pained him to hear, wanting to go over and console her as well. Why exactly? He didn’t know, but something beckoned him to go over, though his mind told him not to. It wasn’t his place to, it told him.
When Luka managed to calm Alicia down, she sniffles one last time before cracking her eye open.
At that moment, Damian felt as time stood still and that whatever God that was out there had heard his pleads.
Damian watched as a pair of familiar emerald puffy eyes stared back at Luka, their corners red from the crying.
Emerald eyes.
Emerald, just like his...
---
After dropping Alicia in the room at the end of the hall, Luka made his way to his next destination, Marinette.
Standing in front of the door that separated them, Luka’s hand hovered over the handle before retracting back to his side.
He has to tell her now.
With a pull at the handle Luka walked into Marinette’s studio, letting out a final deep breath. Stepping into the all gray room, he spotted Marinette, happily sewing away on her latest piece: a wedding gown. Luka quickly turned away at the sight of it, fighting the urge to walk right back out the door. He kept his eyes closed until his guilt was able to subside. But even with his eyes closed, he could see it perfectly clear in his mind.
It is the design Marinette had wanted for her own wedding, Luka remembering the smile and softness on her face as she described in vivid detail on how she was going to make the dress.
A dress made of tulle and lace, only two materials and nothing more. The lace will create the sleeves and cover the bodice, forming an off-the-shoulder top. From the waist down- simple tulle, the skirt’s hem adorned with pieces of lace. The dress, of course, will have a chapel train; a train that was of the normal size, nothing too long nor too short. A simple, yet elegant dress. A dress that embodies Marinette.
Despite the chat being from years ago, it remained in his mind, echoing at the back of his head. How she gushed about the day she was going to make it for her grand day...
But…
That never happened…
Luka let his feet guide him to where he needed to go, opening his eyes once he was close enough to Marinette and the dress no longer being the main focus.
“Hey.”
“Hey.” Marinette said softly, looking up from her work and looked at Luka. Upon seeing his face stern and the way his shoulders were slightly slumped, Marinette rose to her feet. “What happened?”
Luka made her sit back down and held her hand in his, drawing circles on the back.
“It’s a long story, but I’ll make it short.” Luka looked straight into Marinette’s eyes. “She lost the necklace.” How he hated the fact that he was able to see the exact moment that fear had creeped into Marinette’s eyes.
--
Alicia felt like she couldn’t regain her smile after having a frown on her lips for over ten minutes and pursing her lips for the next ten. Or maybe it was the fact that the guilt growing in her stomach was no longer bearable, just like the aching in her heart.
She didn’t mean to lose the necklace. Really! She didn’t mean to!
Pushing herself off of the beanbag she was sitting at, she flung the door open and ran down the hall to her mother’s studio.
Yes, Papa might’ve told her to stay there and wait for him, but she just couldn’t bare it! She needed to apologize as soon as possible!
Slowly pushing the studio handle, Alicia crept into the room, automatically having the urge to run back out. The air was heavy and thick, breathing comfortably being a lost thought. All the hairs on her skin rose, Alicia feeling herself trembling as she creeped closer to where her parents were.
“So she lost it.” She heard her mother whisper, causing Alicia to freeze. She never heard her mother speak in such a bland tone, and so… lifeless.
“Listen, I'll go back again tomorrow to the school and look for it. Surely-”
“But what if you don’t find it? What if it’s too late?” Alicia watched as her mother dug her nails into her hand.
“Mari, we’re going to find it. Don’t worry.” Her father cupped her mother’s face with one of his hands, her mother’s eyes causing Alicia to take a step from, her back hitting the door.
Marinette’s dull eyes looked straight at Luka’s worried ones.
“Don’t worry?” Marinette let out a dry laugh, pushing down Luka’s hand. “Sure, I changed the necklace’s appearance so that it looks like a silver locket, but that’s just the thing.”
“Mari.”
“I couldn’t take the necklace’s power away.” Power? What was Maman talking about?
“Mari, listen to me.”
“What if we’re too late? What if it’s already in the wrong hands Luka?” What was going on?
“Don’t think about that. We’re going to find it.”
“I’m the Guardian and I knew the consequences and yet-”
“Melody.” Luka cupped her face. Papa only used that name when Maman became very sad or when she’s about to panic. Which one was it? “It’s not your fault. If anything it’s mine.”
“You’re right.” Alicia’s heart stopped. Maman never blamed Papa for something. Not even once. Maybe as a tease, but never like this. “You’re the one who proposed the idea after all.” A dry laugh that made Alicia want to hide. “Look where that got us.”
“Melody.”
“I shouldn’t have listened to you.” Marinette shot straight from her chair, walking away from it before stopping and turning back to look at Luka. “Thanks to you, there’s a Miraculous out there, out of my reach and out of my hands when it should’ve stayed in the box.” Miraculous? Box?
“Melody.”
“Master Fu entrusted me to keep them safe, I promised him that I would and yet I lost one of them. Possibly forever.”
“Maybe not forever-“
“Are you even taking this seriously?” Marinette growled, a scowl on her face.  “Or did you forget how dangerous it’s going to get now that there’s a Miraculous out of my care?”
“I know about the dangers of a missing Miraculous, but are you even listening to yourself?” Alicia felt like crying when she heard her father let out a haughty laugh. Luka looked at Marinette with narrowed eyes. “Are you forgetting about our promise? That we will be protecting the Miraculouses together, as a team?”
“As you can see, working as a team made us lose one of them.” Marinette growled, pointing at the door.
“And I told you that I’ll take responsibility for-”
“That won’t make it come back into our hands, or is it?” Luka let out a scoff.
“Are you really-”
“Listening to myself? Yes.” Marinette cut off.
“So why-” Marinette fumed, standing firm at her place, not resisting the urge to stomp her foot a bit.
“Because there’s a Miraculous out there, out of my hands- in which they’re supposed to be- all because I listened to your damn suggestion!” Marinette yelled, stomping. Luka almost flinched, but as he stopped himself from doing so, he noticed something at the doorway. Panic subdued his frustration.
“Mari! Sto-”
“NO! I should’ve never listened to you! Nor should I have given that necklace to Alicia!”
“Mari, please!” But it fell to deaf ears. A mistake Marinette later regrets.
“I should’ve never trusted Alicia with such a valuable item when I knew it was a bad idea from the start!” Marinette yelled, gritting her teeth. “She’s a child, why did I ever think she was able to keep it safe?!” Marinette felt something lift off her chest, but also the vile feeling of forebode crawling all over her. She thought it was because of the guilt for lashing at Luka, but when she looked up, that wasn’t the reason for the foreboding gut feeling.
For Luka wasn’t looking at her, his attention diverted to something by the studio entrance. Following his pity-filled eyes- pity?
Marinette quickly whipped her head towards the door, feeling her heart stop.
“Alicia.” Her eyes felt heavy, her heart heavy and her head light as a feather. “W-When did-”
“I… I’m… I’m sorry.” Alicia said, her voice cracking at every word, her eyes void of any emotion, trails of old tears still present on her face. Her cheeks were wet and so was her shirt, soaked with salty tears. “I’m sorry.”
With that, Alicia bolted out the room, not a single sob leaving her.
“ALICIA!”
Marinette only had to look at Luka once for the two to understand that they had to look for Alicia. And fast.
--
“S-sorry to bother you Mme Couffaine when you’re so... busy.” A woman trailed off when she almost bumped into a running Marinette.
Well, that was the understatement of the century. Sure, she’s seen Mme Couffaine disheveled and stressed from commissions, but never like this. Mme Couffaine was panting, her breaths short and heavy, her eyes puffy and darting to every corner of the room.
Rumor was that Alicia had gone missing.
Marinette stared at the woman before she was able to register the words said to her. She took a deep breath before giving her assistant a strained smile.
“It’s alright. You’re not interrupting anything Ruby.” Marinette glanced to her sides before giving her attention to Ruby. “So what did you need to tell me? It sounded urgent.” Ruby nodded, taking a glance at her clipboard before looking at her boss.
“Well, there’s someone here looking for you. A tall man, tanned skin, green eyes… said his name was Damian-” Ruby cowered and flinched when Marinette’s eyes grew sapphire. “S-should I turn him away?” Just when her day couldn’t get any worse.
“No.” Marinette strode her way past Ruby, the clicking of her heels sounding heavier than usual. “I’ll handle this.”
Marinette took long, deep breaths as she made her way to the front desk, Damian turning to face her upon the sound of heel clicks approaching him.
Crossing her arms, she looked at the man. Despite being in heels, Marinette was still a whole foot smaller than him. Not that she cared.
“What do you want Damian?”
“I’m going to get straight to the point: I know.” Marinette arched a brow. “I know about your secret.”
“Which one?” Marinette challenged, wanting to smirk (and feeling better) at the quick expression of surprise and confusion before it went back to being stern.
“I know about Alicia…” Marinette’s eyes widened. How? How did he find out?! Damian placed his hands on her shoulder.
“I know that she’s my daughter… She’s a Wayne, not a Couffaine.”
