is the child of an event magician and a fake psychic // her father would teach her and her siblings magic tricks as kids, and at events, have them on stage during shows // luna got along with her father when she was little, but once she reached the age of 11, the two of them kind of butted heads a lot. they were kind of always arguing due to him having cheated on her mom ; though this is basic knowledge since one of her siblings is probably a half-sibling. // she kind of hated fake party magic after that and rebelled by learning tricks from her mother on how to become a fake psychic. she does small reads on people from observations and from research before shows. she also is really great at tricking people into believing she's a real psychic; despite the fact that she tells them she's not upfront. she got into a car accident when she was 15, after her and her mother were arguing about how she couldn't just get along with her father. which kind of led to a life full of luna feeling guilty and responsible for her mother's death. // luna ended up running away a few times after that. and finally left New York City to do her own thing at the age of 18. she never really had the urge to get an education, but she went to college for two years just so she could say she had a degree // she did magic and cards tricks on the street for a while to make a living, and it surprisingly worked out for her // eventually she came back to New York City to visit her siblings again, and she meets her husband, who she ends up falling for despite not letting anyone in EVER. they eventually got married and have a kid together, but like, she got scared one day when the baby was crying and just decided to leave both her husband and her daughter through a note. she ends up traveling the country, doing magic and psychic acts for people, and it's a good distraction because she meets all sorts of people. but the thing is, she does get tired of running and comes back home to new york city. partly to get to know her daughter and partly to be around her siblings more // so far that hasn't been smooth sailing. though she has changed and no longer wishes to run, no one believes her. so like, she's stuck constantly trying to prove herself to people. and worse, she has to deal with the consequences of running off. which, you know, is a lot. because, she always has a habit of leaving town when things get too stressful and she can't do that now without hurting people all over again. // her family owns a magic props shop that random people tend to pop into just to see what it is. the rosanos seem to be taking excellent care of it. however, luna is only just starting to help there occasionally, so thats a good example of her trying to be more...there and in person than before.

tidbits:

sold her soul when she came back to new york city, because her daughter got really sick, and she wanted to help her get better. so she turned to real magic and it turns out, that shit really can bring ‘death’ to you for a little chit chat. he’s actually positive and upbeat, too. and she would have liked him and not decided to rebel against him, had he not told her the pesky detail that he also took her daughter’s soul, too, as collateral. so now, she kind of goes against death’s wishes and does things in a rather dramatic fashion. 

her daughter delphine is on bad terms with her when she’s older because she feels like something is missing. though luna has tried her best to get delphine’s soul back, it doesn’t seem to be working out for her, and delphine is forever bitter over it. 

works at a diner where she makes delicious coffee. like the best coffee. she uses the diner’s coffee machine but somehow her coffee always tastes best - go figure? And though she still does magic shows - like for real, she’s great at them now - she just loves working the diner. 

i’ll add more when i learn more luna things. but she’s babe.

friendship

“talk less, smile” or “nod” more, is a very specific ford thing to do. he’s not the most chatty person in the world and is much more actions than words — like he’ll sing you a song or make you a playlist or an origami bird – when it comes to meeting new acquaintances and friends. he’s a cool person to be around because he’s mellow and isn’t much for starting drama unless someone starts it with him first. he’s the type of friend who will chill with you indoors, outdoors, whatever - as long as he gets some you time. he is something of a trouble-maker though, so some of his friends are probably gonna be troublemakers too. and his friends who aren’t troublemakers are probably goody-two-shoes who go to law  school. it all depends on where he’s at and his mindset. but he is an alright friend. just not super well-behaved and he kinda is in love with himself. so i doubt he’d be friends with anyone is constantly talking shit about or judging him.

antagonistic

ford has a temper on him when he’s pressed or when he feels like someone can’t defend themselves. he is calm for the most part, but if you call him names or egg him on by pushing, there’s a one-hundred percent chance you are getting decked in the face. he’s also gotten into trouble at random bars and clubs for getting into fights with men who just won’t leave women alone. and when he gets into trouble for it, he doesn’t apologize because he thinks he’s doing the right thing. Which is another thing, the fact that he’s so goddamn self-assured could be something that bothers people.  Oh, and his mouth.

Biography / Headcanon Sheets

Ford Roscoe’s beginnings were somewhat lonely. His mother only kept him out of obligation and his father left her when he figured out she was pregnant. She didn’t treat him awful per-say, but she did treat him as though he wasn’t there most of the time. And as a child, he longed for the warmth of his mother and her love. And this longing only intensified when he started preschool and he saw how loving and affectionate other mothers were when it came to their children. He tried to convince his mother to love him by attempting to impress her with grades and positive behavior but he ended up growing farther apart from her as time went on. Instead, he gained the attention of his teachers and an art museum worker. 

His teachers would take care of him by paying for his lunch when his mother forgot to give him money for it, or they’d find him clothes when he grew out of them. They’d praise him whenever he came in for tutoring or during lunch to study. He appreciated this quite a lot because the attention he longed for from his mother but never really received.  Then, with the art gallerist, he became friends with her son and she became something of a Miss Honey-Type for him, which ended in him visiting the art museum often  - because she bought him snacks - or nights where he spent the night at her place and hung out with her son.

He basically stayed there quite a lot, and it got to the point where people saw him as her son. She never argued against these statements, which always made him feel really good. However, one day, his biological mother got a boyfriend and he didn’t like him very much. He told him to his face as much one day, and asked Ford’s mother to choose him or Ford, and his mother chose Ford. Without even blinking an eye, his mother kicked him out of the house. And not knowing where else to go, he rode the bus to the woman’s house and told her the story.

The woman, Claudia, was furious and drove over to his mother’s house and angry smacked her as soon as she opened the door, telling her that she should be lucky to have Ford as a son. Ford was shocked by this and was even more shocked when his mother said she’d give her guardianship over him because she just couldn’t handle him anymore and just wanted to be with her boyfriend. Ford gathered his things after that, and then he set off to live with Claudia who continued to treat him as a son - only this time she was his actual mother now.

Ford went to private school on scholarship and knew Claudia’s son, Rory before he began to visit the museum a lot for food and drink. Rory had told him about it one day made a point to tell him about how he hung out there a lot with his mom and how he could hang out with him, too. The two of them hung out a lot there and frequently played scrabble, connect four, and chess together. They formed a strong bond and might as well have been brothers before they became actual brothers.

Ford’s been called a sassy little shit and this description of him has been stated even throughout his adulthood. He’s also very deadpan and serious, and his emotions are there but due to his upbringing, he’s somewhat lowkey about showing how he feels. He also has to keep his emotions in check since in verses where he has superpowers he’s telekentic and when his temper acts up shit floats or explodes and occasionally people get hurt. He prefers that not to happen and sees a therapist to find coping mechanisms to control his anger and upset, and so far this keeps his feelings and powers in check. It should also be noted that another power that Ford has is healing, and when he’s hurt or someone else is hurt, he can’t heal if he’s angry. Anger only manages to make things worse. In verses where he doesn’t have superpowers, he did get into fights while attending school because at his private school talked shit about him being on scholarship and because he was a bit of a teacher’s pet. He kind started to not give in after he moved in with the Roscoes. 

When it comes to love his love language receiving gifts. He likes making playlists with songs that remind him of friends, family members, and romantic partners and gives them to them discreetly - usually on CD, but sometimes through Spotify. He can be playful despite serious, so at times he’ll leave little messages through the Spotify song titles. On the subject of musis an adult, he can play guitar so he sometimes plays guitar in small bars. Usually with music that isn’t written by him and that’s written by other people. He has a good voice though and makes habit of teaching himself to get better at using his voice and playing his guitar. This originally was something he did to distract himself while in law school, but now as a criminal defense attorney, like Claudia’s wife Beth, he just does it for fun and gets a lot of joy from it.

When he wants to get away from everyone he goes to the local aquarium. As a child, he’d sneak out of his new mother’s house and when he lived with his biological mother, her house, to go to the aquarium. He’d stay there for hours and just think about everything and nothing particular. It kept him occupied because he enjoyed watching sea life and learning the names of the fish and plants. As an adult, he’ll go to the aquarium with his tablet and go over notes for his cases.

Knows a lot of useless facts but can’t retain information for anything super important. You ask him what people’s names mean or how licks it does take to get to the center of tootsie pop and he’ll tell yah, but when asked what he had for breakfast what he wore the day before he won’t recall the information at all. However, when it comes to the details of other people - specifically friends and family - he’ll remember everything from their favorite color to how quickly it usually takes them to eat a bowl or top ramen.

Luna and Delphine’s successor. He is an assassin by trade in order to make his great grandmother and grandmother happy. He volunteered because he thought it would be fun, which is something they just did not understand at all. He gets along with Maidens who work for Luna and Delphine’s family. So he works with both on different occasions and he actually likes his job? What he doesn’t like is when Delphine gets all huffy with him, it makes him a little temperamental. But like whatever, it is what it is.

PERSONALITY

Claudia is very selective about who she lets into her life. Due to a broad range of trust and abandonment issues stemming from her childhood and being manipulated by parental figures, she is just as likely to be your worst enemy as she is to be your best friend. Blunt by nature, she has no restraint in her words. Though she might say things in a way that might sound nice at first, sometimes she has ill intention (But not always). Sarcasm also comes easily to her. So, if a person is capable of keeping up with her banter, they’re a person she might enjoy keeping in her life. 

Meaning, if you can handle her at her worst, there’s a chance she has the capability of being a really great friend to that person when she’s at her best. And, while we’re at it, unwilling to admit it to others, Claudia is ran by her insecurities. She might seem over-confident on the outside, but on the inside she’s got an uncontrollable urge to succeed or be the best at what she sets forth in doing. Something, sadly, that finds her constantly in a state of dissatisfaction or indifference.

PLATONIC 

Right now Claudia works at an art museum. She quit her job as a journalist a little while back, due to a rough publication about a company that nearly ended her life after her daughter ‘Martina’ was kidnapped. Although claudia’s sarcastic and blunt nature has a way with pushing people away, she is quite gregarious and won’t shut up once you get her talking. She’s her most social when she’s working or doing investigative work, despite no longer being a journalist, because she can’t afford to be shy when looking for answers. Very active in whatever  community she’s in at the time, she has found herself making both wanted and unwanted new friends and acquaintances along the way. She is a very energetic and playful person, along with a very great listener, too. 

Being friends with claudia might be awkward at times, however, since many of her reactions to things are what she expects people to want from her. Meaning, in a way, she only reveals as much to people as she likes, and very few people know the real her. Still, even with her negative personality traits, people who she decides to call ‘friend’ or ‘acquaintance’ get the see a lighter side of her, along with any help they need when they are in need of a helping hand.

It should also be noted that, claudia is sensitive to body language, changes in mannerisms, and tone. she doesn’t do it on purpose, that’s just how her brain works, and honestly, it annoys her more than anything else about herself because she can’t really stop herself from doing it. so when she’s talking to someone she’s just met she will probably be analyzing everything about them to make sure they like her or that they’re safe to continue speaking to. during her day-to-day life this habit of hers has helped her find good friends to keep. but sometimes her observations aren’t correct due to rose-tinted lenses and it’s led to some pretty bad friendships, too.

for the most part, she has made more good friends than the latter, so she doesn’t see herself as flawed. when she trusts someone fully or has gotten to know them, she is pretty chill and can be funny. she has a way of making jokes at random times and likes to make others smile. 

romance

romance is always fun. and since claudia is very flirtatious and forward with her intentions when it comes to love and sex, she has dated and slept with quite a few people. her preference is one night stands and friends with benefits situations - since she doesn’t want to be compromised by having feelings for someone and has trust issues - but she is more than open to serious monogamous relationships and whirlwind romances. her main interest is women, but she has been known to get involved with men. so this is pretty open. she is a huge fan of spoiling her partners rotten with gifts and huge romantic gestures. like she might buy her girlfriend/boyfriend/partner a necklace or a watch out of impulse, or she’ll go out of her way to send them roses or their favorite flower every day. Sometimes, when she wants, she’ll even go out of her way to take them on surprise trips for a weekend. she is more actions than words though, so hearing words like “i love you” are not a frequent thing unless her partner is the one who says it first. she isn’t cold, really. she’s just not over a moment in high school where she told a guy she loved him and he never said it back, and like, in general, her family never said the words all that much. so in order to keep herself safe from heartbreak, she just avoids saying ‘i love you’ at all costs. but again, she is more actions than words, so she’ll be there for her partner in other ways. for example, if they’re sick she’ll take care of them; or if they are drunk and need a ride, she’ll pick them up.  

ENEMIES

this chaotic mess of a woman is bound to have a few enemies. once she decides she dislikes someone, she tends to let her opinion be known. she hates when people take advantage of her and isn’t afraid to speak her mind when bullshit occurs. sure she’s loyal to those she holds near and dear, but the people who have become her enemy know she’s not the angel she makes herself out to be. when provoked, claudia is not afraid of mind-games or even ruining one’s reputation for the sake of a little old-fashioned revenge. also she’s willing to fight her own ass and your ass in the desert so like?? chill and stay on her good side hjkjkk.

HEADCANONS: 

mentions of getting stabbed, nearly drowning.

She wears gloves all the time. It’s not a germ thing, it’s a touch thing. She doesn’t like to touch people unless she’s comfortable around them. This goes back to her childhood from before she was adopted by the Daviaus and she was experimented on a lot. 

Was raised into Jud.iasm by her adopted father Ivan II. She actually prefers it to her adoptive mother’s Catho.licism. Though she has done some questionable things, she does pray often and in general finds comfort in the idea of G-d. 

When she was in college, she got stabbed while trying to take a knife away from a friend’s abusive ex. She noticed him bring out the knife while they were talking outside, and since she isn’t really scared of anything, she defended her friend and ended up getting stabbed herself. She did not stop trying to defend her friend though. She kept guarding her until security came and stopped anymore violence from happening. Her friend was thankful for what she did and visited her while she was in the hospital, but she was also pissed at her because she could’ve died. But with Claudia being Claudia, Claudia sort of shrugged it off and made it sound like it wasn’t a big deal. I think the situation was a bit triggering for her, so she felt like she HAD to do something about it. ALSO SHE’S FUCKING IMPUSIVE AND DOESN’T BELIEVE IN CONSEQUENCES TO HER ACTIONS.LIKE SHE’S CERTAIN SHE’S INVINCIABLE EVEN THOUGH SHE’S HAD HER FAIR SHARE OF INJURIES DUE TO HER IMPULSIVE ACTIONS.

Hides abuse victims in some of her father’s empty hotel rooms. And sometimes will scare the hell out of the abuse victims abuser because...she be that way. 

Sometimes she will mimic actions she’s seen in television, books, and movies. She will see a woman in a movie making a romantic speech, and she will copy the way she says it until she has the emotion and tone as the woman speaking. Or, she’ll see someone crying in a movie and she’ll practice herself, so that she can cry in situations where she’s supposed to cry…but doesn’t feel the need to. I think her siblings thought that was a little weird when she was a child, but now they’re sort of used to her sometimes coming up with a new persona after seeing a piece of media she really likes. She will also adopt the same mannerisms and habits as people she’s really close to. So if she’s really close to someone, she’ll try and talk in the same speech patterns as they do, or she’ll copy some of their hand motions. Stuff like that. 

LOVES ART OF ALL KINDS AND HAS THE URGE TO LEARN NEW THINGS ABOUT ART AND VARIOUS SUBJECTS SHE DOESN’T KNOW MUCH ABOUT. 

she’s a triplet. one of them is named amada and one is name mariah. 

claudia’s favorite color is red. as a child, she was fascinated with the color and would frequently color coloring sheets and drawings all red. she would also steal her mother’s ruby red lipstick and try it on whenever no one was paying any attention to her. she’s always seen the color as BOLD and it’s managed to be a color she wears when she’s feeling incredibly confident or needs a confidence boost.

claudia’s adoptive mother, susanna, was emotionally abusive towards her. she did not want children, so she was an asshole towards all of her children. claudia, especially, since she liked to do things her way or the highway. the two of them frequently butted heads due to that. susana had a controlling personality and a mean mouth, so yeah, just all around a crappy time when claudia was or is around her mother. it became better when cloud’s brother ivan passed, but claudia gets small around her even as an adult.

when claudia was younger she spotted her mother having an affair with her uncle. claudia had been told not to keep secrets, so she took a few pictures with her toy camera and showed them to her father. her father was very upset with the information and her mother was angry at her for sharing the news to her father. as punishment, claudia’s mother sent her to boarding school.

claudia feels at peace in the water. as a child, she would lock herself in the bathroom and fill the luxurious bathtubs in her home to the top. she’d stay in there until her skin began to prune or her nanny beat on the door for her she came out. 

as an adult, she likes to sail on her yacht and go swimming. swimming is one of her favorite activities. like, if given the opportunity, she could swim for hours. like even though she was nearly drowned as a child, she just, loves the water. 

claudia has a scar on her cheek and one on her lip. one from a fight she had with her sister back when she was younger, and one from a fight she got into at a bar. she was a little self-conscious about the scars at first, but after a while the scars felt like battle scars and she even sometimes shows them off when she wants to impress someone.  

when claudia is stressed she will stuff her face with oreos. it’s basically her comfort food, because her nanny used to give them to her whenever she was upset over something.

generally, she wasn’t allowed to eat sweets, cause her mother wanted her children to eat healthy, but her nanny would frequently let her eat sweets whenever her mother wasn’t around.

could blow you up with her mind if she wanted to but just won’t do that. much prefers to smack someone or be smacked. she be wilding. 

whenever claudia sees something in the store, she generally thinks of somebody else. like, she’ll see an outfit and think of her siblings or a friend. usually, this ends in her buying whatever she saw for the person she thought of. when she gives the person the gift, she’s usually really giddy to see how they respond.

she can communicate with the dead and hates it because it’s involuntary and she can’t turn it off. if a dead person is coming up toher, they are coming up to her. 

ahhhh, so claudia has mini breakdowns where she’ll cry and break shit around the house until she’s calmed down. she also has days where she’s overwhelmed and just lays on the floor or stares blankly at the tv. in order to comfort her during those times simply requires hot tea, oreos, and a conversation where she isn’t required to speak back. sometimes she likes hugs, but it depends on the person. like sometimes a hug could end with her feeling worse or paranoid. she’s complex, haha.

claudia writes in black ink when it comes to work because it looks professional and she’s all about keeping a professional image. for personal notes and letters, though, she tends to write in lavender colored ink and is so extra that sometimes she’ll spray her perfume on the pages.

kinda hellbent on taking down a comany arca. ran by a group people who call themselves ‘the averternity’ and she like??? won’t rest until they give her back her daughter. because she’s like 800% sure they killed her husband alexander.  

since admitting feelings is difficult for her and can sometimes end in her being angry or frustrated with herself, she will write letters to show how she really feels about a person. not only that, but she will use letter writing to talk about topics she’s too embarrassed to talk about.  

claudia hates the smell of axe body spray. any man who uses it, no matter how attractive they are, instantly becomes gross. she would rather a man smell like garlic bread or just plain bad than axe body spray.
