“This was an excellent course. It takes you from almost knowing nothing about JavaScript to doing some incredible tasks in JS (via NodeJS). While I have been using JS for a few years, someone with limited experience would also benefit from this course. I also found that, having a few years of experience in JS, I still learned quite a bit. The instructor is VERY knowledgeable. There are a lot of different pieces involved and he does a good job explaining how to use them. He is also attentive to the needs of the students. This is evidenced by the thorough replies in the Q & A section. He has a good teaching style and seems to be aware of concepts that could be confusing, so explains those in more depth. My favorite part of this course is the ability to perform the exercises. These helped reinforce the concepts being demonstrated. As far as content is concerned, it is difficult to say which section was my favorite, but I really enjoyed creating the sockets chat application and to do API. The addition of the ES6 content is an excellent addition. I am very excited to use many of these features. The platform of the course is great as well. This is my first Udemy course, so I was not exactly sure what to expect. There were times when I could not get my code to work after a challenge. I was able to download the course content, provided by the instructor, and compare to see where I went wrong. I was able to find where I had a typo in my code. I like the format of auto-playing videos and being able to see which sections had been completed or not. This helps keep the course moving. I can also pick up where I left off.
