for aitana, during the uefa player of the year awards, she wore an anne boleyn-inspired necklace with the letter "B." this comes from the feminist-forward collection of designer teresa helbig, who created it as an homage to anne boleyn, who she described as "one of the most important women in history" and "a queen who marked her own era and who opened the way for all of us so that today we can have the rights we have." given aitana's own reputation as speaking out for gender equality and human rights, it's a fitting piece of jewelry for the award itself.

for ona (and several of the other players who celebrated after the world cup), the "B" cap, the "B" tattoo, and the corresponding temporary tattoo "nohayveranosinbeso" are symbols of the beso beach restaurant/beach club in formentera/ibiza. in this context, b = beso = kiss in spanish, and having the players wear "B" all over are ways to get some free advertising and marketing for the restaurant. 😂

Today I will tell you what places I visited in Formentera and what I recommend.

We spent 5 days in the small island of Formentera with my 3 friends and we have returned in love with her. In that short period of time and thanks to the rental of two bikes we could see everything necessary on the island.

To get to the island from Barcelona we landed with the plane at the airport in Ibiza, then by bus we went to the port to take the ferry that took us directly to the island. As far as accommodation is concerned, we rented an apartment-type room in a hotel.

Here are my TOP FAVORITE 5 things to visit in Formentera:

1. SES ILLETES BEACH

The beaches of Ses Illetes, located in the northern point of the island is the most visited by tourists. This natural environment, where nudism is practiced, is part of the Natural Area of ​​Special Interest of Ses Salines and the posidonia seaweed meadow that is under its waters has been declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco. This fact together with its crystal clear water makes divers from all over the world come to practice diving in this privileged place.

This beautiful, virgin and paradisiacal beach is characterized by having a medium dimension, a slope of fine white sand, a very soft slope and an orientation to the west. It is one of the most frequented beaches of the beautiful Formentera.

The beach of Ses Illetes, in Formentera has managed to be placed in the top five worldwide of TripAdvisor, in the second position in the list of best European beaches, and in first position in the ranking of the best Spanish beaches.

One thing you have to take into account is that you have to pay for parking the car or motorbike there, so my recommendation is to go early and stay there all morning or all afternoon to make the most of it.

2. CALÓ DES MORTS

Caló des Mort is located between Platja des Migjorn and Ram. In this natural environment, nudism is also practiced and it has one of the best panoramic views of this area of Formentera.

This coastal corner is part of the great bay of Migjorn, in the southern region of the island. This almost virgin cove in the shape of a smile is characterized by its small size, a rocky slope and crystal clear water.

There is very little space in the sand and we were about 40 people in the cove, a feeling of incredible peace.

3. CALA SAONA

Cala Saona is the beach of the homonymous tourist town, located between Punta Rasa and Caló d'en Trull. In this environment, which is part of the Natural Area of Special Interest of Cap Alt, nudism is also practiced.

This beach is characterized by being wedged between two cliffs and having almost virgin status, except for the presence of a tourist establishment, small size, slope of fine white sand, dune system that occupies its back, leafy pine forest surrounding this coastal corner, orientation to the west, very gentle slope, crystal clear water and sandy bottom that invites diving.

4. BESO BEACH

The restaurants of the Natural Park of Ses Salines have become famous for their atmosphere and exceptional situation. Beso Beach is one of them, specializing in Mediterranean and Basque cuisine, where the quality of its raw material and its seafood predominates. 

We spent the afternoon on the beach and we took the mythical photo of the bank where it is written #nohayveranosinbeso (#there’snosummerwithoutakiss).

5. FARO CAP DE BARBARIA

It is a platform formed by calcareous materials and presents a rugged relief with cliffs. At the end of its limit you can see the Barbaria Lighthouse that warns navigators of the proximity of the rocks. A few meters from the lighthouse you can see a small hole called the Cueva Forada which is a kind of cave with holes in the surface and with several megalithic ruins. You can also visit the watchtower a short distance from the lighthouse, which in turn protected the island from invaders. There are two headlights in the island but this is the best one and the most known.
