            “AH~! ” THE SIGH of satisfaction as the blonde entered Nevan’s sight was mostly sincere. mostly. most of the times the leanashe was alone in that shop, surrounded by severed and impaled demon heads, fellow devil arms in deep slumber or dust. a familiar (and good looking face) was always something to be content with. “ your face is always like a breath of fresh hair, might I say. ” stretching her body as she laid on the desk.

Eyes softened at the sight of an old friend , a long awaited reunion that made her LATE for like..give or take two hours at the most? Yeah no that wasn’t fun fighting demons on a subway train, she almost got her head lopped off by the rails she was almost dropped on. Thankfully though, the devil hunteress has arrived as planned..juuust a wee bit late. “Sorry..sorry..had a bit trouble on the train, I swear!” She said slowly taking her coat off and hanging the poor old riddled leather coat on its little brass coat hanger beside the door. “ Everything go okay on your end, sweetheart? “ She asked with a pet name included because it is a forever dying habit of Dante herself.

            It was a bad idea, letting her gowas a BAD IDEA

           She wanted to go on thismission on her own, which is fair enough. They FOUGHT again. Recently they have been arguments between them. Thisone was no different than their normal skirmishes. Started off small enough butit escalated to places he would rather not go. He HATED talking about himself, his real self. He hated talking about how he really feels about things.He’s never been good at it. Even before everything went to shit with his FAMILY. In his line of business therewas no time for it. Not to be cliché but concealdon’t feel was how it always was with him.

           He knew she hated it.

           So she pushed him to talk, toactually say how he felt about her. He played it off like it was nothing, likehe CONSTANTLY does. Refusing toadmit how much he cares about her. To tell the truth he was ADRAID of it, hewas afraid of loving someone unconditionally. He’s lost two people he loveddearly, his brother and his mother. He almost lost her once, when they firstmeet. When she SACRIFICED herself tosave him. After things got heated, she left. Saying something about “wantingsome space”. He would respect that. Until he got a call from Lady, saying that saiddemon Trish was after was far STRONGERthen they previously anticipated. Cursing before dropping the phone he ran outthe door. PRAYING that there wasstill time to stop her before facing whoever this monstrosity was.

           He was too late. AGAIN. When he arrived, she was alreadyon the ground. There was blood everywhere. The strong iron aroma was SICKENING. The sight STRUCK something in him, flashes fromwhen he was eight appeared before him, everything turned RED. He thinks he was in his devil trigger form, but he can’tremember. All he remembers is the RAGE.Who ever this son of a bitch was, they were dead before they could even SPEAK a word to him. Not like it wouldmatter what they said. Turning to face the blonde woman, he quickly made hisway to her. He shifted back to his human form, dread and fear washed of hisface as he spoke.

            “     Stop, don’t say that. You’re tougher then that babe.      ”Was he trying to convince himself that she was going to be fine? Probably, hecouldn’t just let her DIE. Not now,not HERE. “      You are NOT dying onme, no fucking way.      ”Picking her up as gently as possible, quickly excited the warehouse they werein. “      You’ll be fine, you’re going to be fine,you..you can’t go      ” He couldn’t lose her, he WOULDN’Tlose her.
