If anyone deserves to choose a new name it's normal. Imagine being named after an unattainable standard set for you by your parent. Like post canon, let him pick himself a name out.

Like Hero must have a hard time with her name too but I think she can reclaim it with like "I'm the hero of my own story" maybe.
