I get asked a lot, mostly in summer about shaving. Back after my divorce I treated myself to laser hair removal. It’s been the best thing, seeing how I can barely stand and only have use in one hand. However, I never went back for my “touch ups” due to sporadic hair growth and just plain hair growth cycles so I still have to shave once a week or so, if I want. I have “patches” that grows still. (Mainly around my tattoos and my scars). However, the ocd in me will not allow me to just shave those areas, I just shave it all. This, is the result and reason I don’t usually shave unless I absolutely need too. You see, my left wrist is completely fused, I also have 7 screws one 8in plate and 5 pins holding it all together. My left leg is completely numb from my hip to my ankle and tonight it was (not surprisingly) swollen. Now add water, soap and a sharp object (which I’m not supposed to have anyways) and this is what happens. Horrendous amounts of blood, a new scar and a near life death experience. I can not girl anymore. So if y’all see me with strange patches of hair while wearing shorts, dresses or capris. Keep the comments to yourself.
