i VERY MUCH LOVE the nui!verse drabbles and i know its just a silly au thing but i was wondering if you have like any stories on how samatoki and ichiro met the nuis ?? the thought of the nuis already reconciling and getting their shit together long before samatoki and ichiro did and maybe even trying to be their matchmakers makes me giggle -🪱

oh busted ｡ﾟ(TヮT)ﾟ｡ i have in all honesty thought very little about how the nuis came into being, how icsm got them, why they're sentient... i am just a huge fan of little fancomics where they're alive (especially ones where samatoki and ichiro run into each other during bachibachi era and get caught having the other's nui poking out of their shirt or pocket lol)

but now that i am thinking about it...

i think i like the idea of nui!verse being basically canon but the drb guys have like idol status, with loads of merch being made of them, so they have claw machines with nuis in them in their world too

samatoki walking past one of those machines one day just totally on a whim decides to give it a shot and totally isn't aiming for ichinui or anything nope not at all... and of course gets an ichinui (after like 100 tries) who for some reason comes to life in his presence (the MAGIC of TRUE LOVE or something like... samatoki gives it a little forehead kiss that brings it to life)

and meanwhile in ikebukuro ichiro has done the exact same thing but with a samanui

then they are just inseparable like ichinui goes everywhere with samatoki and samanui goes everywhere with ichiro, so inevitably the nuis meet (like icsm have brought them to block party or 2nd drb or something and the nuis are in their bags backstage but squirm out and run into each other and naturally fall in love at first sight)

so then of course operation PARENT TRAP begins and the nuis become the tiniest most adorable and most effective matchmakers ever (*￣▽￣)b

(but the idea of the nuis having lived their own lives in parallel to icsm is an adorable thought too, especially if they manage to reconcile long before actual icsm lmaooo)
