#DETT #BPK2winterExpeditionUpdate Update @donbowie Arriving back at Camp 1 after a long day working the bullet-hard ice slopes up to 6100m. Denis and I spent countless hours chopping ropes out of ice and fixing the route below Camp 2. Lotta haul loads with us yesterday and got things at Camp 1 organized and spent the day acclimatizing. We'll all sleep here another night and work the slopes above again tomorrow, hoping to reach Camp 2 and beat out the next storm arriving tomorrow night. #BPK2winter - - -And before you ask, the device in my mouth is called a @go2devices. A raw video footage from the ongoing Nimsdai challenge in collaboration with @nimsdai and his team's cool drone shots paired with my @GoPro ridge-walking on the rarely climbed Dutch Rib below Camp 3. In the video, I first climbed past the precarious bivy tent, then descended back down to store my gear until the next rotation after this storm cycle. At the end @bar_sn appears on the ridge below me. Nimsdai's tent placement is one of the coolest and most precarious spots I have seen. (And these guys spent a night there :) . .
