since I’m such a whore for shiro ships, please see below for like my top 5 ones because god damn it

Shiro/Keith: please see canon interactions. An interesting foundation but mutual solidarity and love there. The looks, touches, and romantic-coded moments are a bit too frequent and I just. want. them. to. be. happy. They do so much for each other and that mutual support is something I adore.

Shiro/Sendak: as it’s well established now I love the unhealthy side of their relationship (hero/villain ships are my fav), but there is SOMETHING there. Sendak and Shiro have too much animosity between them, either because Sendak was an abuser towards Shiro, or because they actually developed something somewhat equal in space, or Shiro somehow gained his respect. There’s too many unknowns to that year in space, and it’s why I love writing this ship so much, because no one knows what happened except for the fact its messed Shiro up and that’s sad af. Also a bigger, buffer boyfriend who could certainly look after Shiro is kinda nice.

Shiro/Ulaz: this one seriously crept up on me. I always thought the ep a bit like hmmm especially when Shiro looks so longingly out the window all sad when Keith turns up, like he’s mourning a lover and friend. This is a seriously sad ship though, and since I found myself writing it, I imagine that Ulaz would just do anything and everything he could to protect Shiro (since his actions pissed off kolivan). Like Keith or Ulaz are v good bf material for the babe.

Shiro/Zarkon: another hero/villain ship and even more unhealthy than Shendak on the basis of both being Black Paladins. Literally there is just nothing good I can think of, and even though you could have Zarkon keep him as a pet of some variety or a concubine, and do an enemies-to-friends-to-lovers type of thing (Zardak and Zaggar are more my thing here tbh), I just can’t see it so much. But as a painful thing? I’ll go for that.

Shiro/Lotor: I know it’s more Kuron here but idc. Just yes. I think in a mutual ‘the galra treated us like shit’ way and they have both suffered from zarkon and haggar and there’s that. Even if it’s not a long-term thing, I just like the idea of them being close.

Other ships bc why not, no order: Shiro/Lance, Shiro/Kolivan, Shiro/Kuron (evil laughter), Shiro/Adam, Shiro/Matt, Shiro/Hepta (or it can be Kuron) annnnnnnd Shiro/Allura. I shipped the latter along with Sheith back in s1-2 because I did like the kinda ‘shiro as her knight’ kinda thing, even if its cliche af. They had a good relationship as leaders, but honestly these two as friends I am 10000% behind. Platonic Shiro & Pidge gives me life, and just Shiro and the Holts is important to me.
