Well, here is that little blurb I promised you guys of the new and (hopefully) improved chapter one, just the first couple of paragraphs though.

A chilly breeze blows by sending a trembling jolt through Spamton’s entire body. This case of the shivers nearly causes him to lose hold of the metal edge, but his fingers only grip down tighter. Staring out into the alley from one of the many dumpsters he calls home, he tries to get a decent view without exposing himself too much to the wind. While hard and uncomfortable, the large metal bin mostly shields him from the elements. Cybercity is getting increasingly colder, a clear sign of winter’s arrival. One of the few seasons he can track. The only thing that proves time is passing. That time had passed. That his life had been, and could once again be more than digging, rooting, hunting, searching, pleading, praying, sleeping, sobbing, days blurring together into endless nightmares. If winter stops coming how can he know if anything is actually changing. If things stop changing how will he know he’s still l1viNg. If h3 st0Ps l1v ng h0VV wi1l he Kn w he VV4s 3veR ali- He glitches violently, fingers clipping through the bin walls for a second before he comes back to his senses. Pausing a moment, Spamton tries to unearth his train of thought from the soft cloud of mental fuzz settling down over it. Another cold wind helpfully reminds him though: winters in Cyber City.  Despite lacking proper seasons like the Light World above, Darkeners still deal with many of the same hallmarks, such as the cold winter weather and occasionally a dusting of snow. Nothing quite as intense as the world above, but still not very good for a program down on his luck in the streets. The cold easily penetrates his clothing through every rip and tear, which is why he usually finds himself spending most winters like he is now: ducking in a dumpster for warmth. He can’t spend long in the bin, however, his stomach noisily reminds him, not if he wants to be able to eat. The luxury of a warm meal is something he has to fight for, so no matter the season making sure to scavenge enough to eat is his number one priority. Besides maybe selling, that is. Not that he ever has a chance to do so.  Of course it isn't like he has many other options at the moment; it’s actually easier to go scavenging when the chill rolls in. Darkners are all migrating inside where it’s warm, leaving trash cans open and dumpsters unlocked with nary a care. Why should they worry after all? What poor sod of a program would be out in the cold like this? Even the wily virokuns are calling truces with their Ambu-Lance pursuers in favor of escaping the weather. Course it is a benefit to him. Their carelessness, entitlement, privilege, warmth, safety, families, love, [Heaven] he wants to go back. Back to the mans1on, back to his br0tHers, back to M̷̧̛̩̬͓̗̹̠̬̺͒́̌̒͒͑̊̓͗̔̂̚͘͝Ĭ̸̡̧̟̦͋̌͐̎͌͗͊̓̚͝Ǩ̶̰͈̖̫̳͍̏̔̉̉E̴̡̧̛̤̬̭͓̔̏̂͊̈́͐̅̊̿͠, b4ck to anyone who would     him, g1 e him a 2Cd cH4nceH3’ll  d0 B  tt3rpleaZeoHG0DDD H3 CoUlD1mproVe-Ve-v-.... A fizzle of static creeps into his brain, thoughts trailing off and merging with the noise. Faintly he’s aware of his hand slipping from the metal lid; though it becomes a lot more pressing as it collides with his head. Though not heavy enough to hurt it certainly clears the static–unhelpfully replacing it with a slight ache. It’s more than enough to knock him to the floor, landing with an unpleasant squish on a garbage bag. Getting lost in the past was a dangerous habit, and so he decides not to dwell on the moment! Jumping back to his feet, Spamton can hardly stop the award losing grin from creeping into the corners of his mouth. There is much too much to be done to allow himself to feel mopey! A salesman has no use for the past when there are future deals to be made!!
