feds stumbles, only briefly; because human versus titanium bot, doesn't really work in her favor. steam plumes, in reaction to both key and quix. and key will be hugged back, though a fond expression is tossed in his counterparts' direction.

quix is used to at least seeing kelly and mixas around - but circuit and nightingale , as well as feds - it's been a long time since he and key have seen the automatons . with how many people have come and gone throughout his life , with what happened to brassy - it's good to see them again . steam curls from his cheek vents , and he reaches to hug nightingale since she's closest .

key curls her arms tight around feds , mindful of his spines as she hides her face against his neck for a moment . ❝ you're not allowed to leave again . ❞

— BIOGRAPHY:

leo's history is somewhat hazy. he recalls snippets before his initial shift ( c.2003 ). what's still ingrained in him is that he was born on a sheep farm in the carpathian mountains, he and his 11 other siblings were raised primarily by his grandmother. as both his grandfather and father spent the days tending the farm and animals. his grandmother died suddenly. his grandfather never recovered. his father left one day and never came back.

he can't remember what happened to his siblings. they just weren't there anymore. his first shift was painful beyond measure. he was all alone, caged underground. having been captured ( actually sold into captivity ) to be used as muscle to detour anyone with ill intent. he was sold several times over because it was difficult to reign him in. he barely knew of his humanity by the time 2011 rolls around.

a supernatural bar on the outskirts of a town. there had been rumors that a rogue wolf was lingering nearby ( said rogue being leo ). up until that point, his experiences with alphas were not the best. wolves in general, given most of his formative years, are difficult for him to trust.

in walks, logan stark. their first few encounters would go as you'd normally expect. lots of growling, snarling and generally unpleasant. but it didn't detour logan. it was almost 9 months worth of not giving up. there was something different about this one.

it's what makes the beta both formidable and protective in that same instance. you do not cross his alpha, that's the whole of it. he'll fight for him, with him, die for him and kill. lay absolute waste. he really sees red when his alpha is harmed ( a coping mechanism for his inner fears ).

logan was patient. despite how troublesome his beta proved to be. it wasn't smooth sailing but everything eventually settled. there's been a few instances since, though they're very rare. logan not giving up on leo through all this is what made the bond easy to accept.

it's a bond that's only strengthened as the years pass.

— BIOGRAPHY:  little is known about darius prior to his adoption into the graves family. it is simply said that he was discovered by the couple and they were infatuated almost instantly. they wouldn't know what they were in for.

darius was always a quiet child, well mannered and respectful. for a time, things were blissful, until the week of his tenth birthday. he was beginning to show painful leisons more and more often.

unfortunately, he was diagnosed with porphyria, specifically porphyria cutanea tarda. he would be limited on being exposed to sunlight (the cause of the lesions), though alternating symptoms would persist (fevers, seizures, abdominal and chest pain, hallucinations) for days/weeks at a time.

thankfully, his parents were gungho from the beginning. they poured their lives and souls into seeking out the very best treatment for him. even if in his later years, came to regret it. he's always felt they wasted far too much of their livelihoods for his sake.

he entered the ton for three seasons (15 through 17), socially it did him wonders, but there was little along the marriage lines. as he was honest with all those showing favor. he wouldn't dream of shouldering them with his burden.

it would be around this time that his mother would discover herself to be pregnant. it was a miracle, as they had been told long ago that conceiving was not possible. it wouldn't be long before they welcomed a little girl into their lives.

in the beginning of 1812, his father announced that he would be retiring and that darius would be assuming the duties therein. honestly, he was glad for it. the life consumed him almost wholly, leaving time for little else but devotion to it.

now, as he graces another decade; he does find himself disliking the silence. though he won't deflect from his duties for the sake of pleasure.
