So a little bit about myself since i am new here, growing up I fell into a deep pit of addictions at a very young age. I lost sight of my true path and continued on a darker one. Looking back I was a nerd for as long as i could remember, and i was picked on at school by a certain group of guys daily at school. when i got the opportunity to do drugs for the first time, not only did the spirit of addiction come into my life but also a spirit full of pride. Once i began using daily for the first few weeks, i needed to blend in on the street to get my drugs easier without looking like i was 14. So the prideful spirit in me told me i needed to wear dark clothing, shave my head, pierce my ears, get a tattoo and so on. So i did. And when the group of guys who were bullying me came around on the bus, i would instead bully them while being high on meth rather then them bully me. So that's how i was introduced to pride and addiction.

I to this day struggle with both, as if they are a tag team in WWE, but i thank my God for delivering me and saving my life many times from the hard drug addictions. Now, i don't struggle with hard drugs but i struggle with something that is more addictive then i ever thought, cigarettes. And again cigarettes aren't just an addiction they are also a prideful addiction because if im being honest, sometimes I get the feeling im better then someone else when i have a cigarette in hand. Ive only ever quit meth and heroin and ketamine twice each, and succeded on quitting the second time around for each. But cigarettes and me have way more attempts on quitting then ive even thought about.

Lately it feels as if there is no way out, but with God, anything is possible. From experience I know where addiction leads, and i really would like to avoid going down that hole again, so im praying for the opportunity for doing some spiritual deliverance so i can finally spread my wings, I dont want to be suffering anymore i want to be alive in christ!

Meet Jo. Short for Josifen (a derivation of Fenjosi, meaning ‘runs with wolves’). Preferring the forest to the cities, streams to streets, birds to bards, Jo begrudgingly went to the Conclave for her clan, though a secret part of her was excited for the opportunity to see more than just her world. Her curiosity and desire for knowledge can be both a gift and a burden, as she can quickly overstep her bounds if she isn’t mindful. It was a great source of frustration growing up and likely why she had Dirthamen’s vallaslin tattooed on her face when she came of age.

Like her namesake, Jo enjoys the lone lifestyle, but when she does find her pack, she will defend and protect them to the end. She’s hot headed, skeptical, emotional, and grim, but has the best of intentions. She feels for the little people, particularly her own kind, and has little patience for the games of high court. She secretly wishes she could trade places with Sera.

A hunter by nature, and thus an archer, Jo is highly skilled in tracking—finding clues and small details comes second nature to her. From the moment she meets Solas she can tell there is more to his story than he gives away, but does not push her place, knowing the fragility of the Inquisition’s movement in the early days.

Jo is wary of humans, but that doesn’t mean she hates all of them and wishes them gone. She just wishes there was a better way to co-exist on equal ground, for the elves did once rule this land. This is part of the reason why she is drawn to Solas, because of his knowledge of the past, through his journeys in the Fade. Her curiosity claws inside her, begging her to ask more more more—the Fade is such a mysterious and special place and she’s eager to spend more time with him and expand her understanding; of which Solas is more than happy to accommodate, though cautiously, she notes. Not a particularly magical elf, having this mysterious magical power in her hand only inflates her curiosity.

It is the early days of the Inquisition. Solas has agreed to stay until the breach is closed, new agents such as Sera, Bull and Blackwall have joined for their own variety of reasons, and now its time to choose who to ally with in order to close the breach. If Jo had any real authority, she’d eliminate the Chantry at once—its a headache she just doesn’t wish to deal with and even from her limited conversations with Solas thus far, she’s learned of the lies and false propaganda they have spread throughout the years. Alas, her human companions are tied closely to their Maker and have taken their Divine’s death hard. Unable to remember what happened, Jo feels guilt over having been the last one to see her before the Conclave exploded, and thus swallows her snide comments towards those in favor of the Chantry and puts that energy into closing the breach and getting answers.

The perpetual headache she has as a result of all this shit is just the icing on the proverbial fucking cake.

Another important thing is that Jordan said he wasn’t drunk, which made us realize that it was a lot more consensual then we thought in the first place (yes, there were posts talking about how the whole thing was problematic and people wrote fics about how Jordan was so drunk he couldn’t even stand up. So knowing he was fairly sober made me and a lot of people feel much better about the whole situation). The audio was terrible (I mean seriously, the organizers of the event were really unprofessional) so Jordan decided not to upload his stream even though he had better audio than Tom.

I want to pay off my mother’s college debt, buy her a nice place to stay as well as somewhere for myself, buy my brother anything his little heart desires, donate to fundraisers and charities, live my dream life, etc. (2) Clear skin. I used my day of the dead makeup and wore a flannel, jeans, boots, and a cowboy hat that I got from party city. Overcoming my biggest insecurities and discomforts for them. Realizing that there are certain things I can only see myself doing with them. When I read those couple posts I think of them, even though it's been over a year since we've been together. Hearing a certain song or artist is tainted by thoughts of them, when nothing would come to mind before I got to know them. Filling spots in my mind and heart that for years had been left vacant. Realizing that despite how much they've hurt me, I'd gladly take them back if they asked. Feeling like it was the right love at the wrong time, even though it probably wasn't the right love at all. Falling in love to me is having them lurking around every corner of my mind, the darkest shadows, the deepest trenches, even when I'm not thinking of them, they're always there. DIRK: -has been up since the wee hours trying to get a signal on the lake house's tv. not only to keep on top of current events, but also to make sure they can catch the show his dad and uncle are planning on broadcasting. he can't miss that... plus, this gives him something to do with his hands. it's a win-win-

SOLLUX: -He can't sleep. It's not a completely unusual occurrence, but it's definitely unwanted when there's so little for him to occupy his mind with. He's frustrated with his own sleeplessness, and he elects to drift around corners of the lake house, smelling his way around and brushing into edges here and there.-

ARADIA: -she's awake also, sitting at a table in the kitchen and staring out the window, watching the scene outside-
