hey! i was wondering if you have any songs you relate to the avatar characters (i'm currently making zuko, azula and sokka playlists and I want to see if anyone has any recs!)

(side note i find assigning songs to blorbos sooo difficult because lyrics, vibes & music all have to align and finding the perfect fit is nearly impossible)

azula - 1) arsonist lullaby by Hozier, this one is self explanatory (and i guess it could fit for zuko too?) but all the lyrics feel so azulacore to me. 2) you’re gonna go far kid by the offspring -> “with a thousand lies and a good disguise / hit ‘em right between the eyes” “when you walk away, nothing more to say / see the lightning in your eyes / see them running for their lives” excellent upbeat songs to conquer ba sing se to and 3) crying lightning by the Arctic Monkeys, i wouldn’t say this one is a perfect fit but “with folded arms you occupied the bench like toothache / stood and puffed your chest out like you never lost a war” yeAH.

zuko - 1) born on my own by Emigrate, -> “break down the walls / that keep us all / flames in waves / so beautiful / holding some / up in my soul / i am in control / born on my own” peak zuko to me and 2) giving you three songs at the price of one because all the three Unforgiven by metallica could be zuko angst moment: banished edition jams like “new blood joins this earth / and quickly he’s subdued / through constant pained disgrace/ the young boy learns their rules”, like “lay beside me, tell me what i’ve done / the door is closed so are your eyes / but now i see the sun” LIKE “was he the one causing pain / with his careless dreaming? / been afraid / always afraid /of the things he’s feeling ” go off emo boy

sokka - okay these are mostly vibes but idk my heart says they’re sokka songs if you get it you get it 1) thinking of a place by the war on drugs “i’m moving through the dark / of a long black night / just moving with the moon / and the light it shines” and ALSO an ocean in between the waves by the same band and 2) sjamboska by the gang of youths -> “ in the thick of my heart / by the skin of my teeth / until i’m forgotten / and covered in weeds / and my withering soul is in the sea / i will hold on to you / hold on to me” oUGH okAY! He’s carrying that weight!!
