I wanted to start my research with the history of the porn industry. And to show how the porn industry has started and how porn has been accessed throughout the years. The definition of pornography has been described as sexual behaviours that have been intended to cause sexual excitement, by Jenkins, J. P. (2024, May 9). My zine is going to explore how pornography affects young women in the modern world of porn and media. Technology has allowed sex work to become more acessable for young women and social media has pressured women into going into an industry which younger people need to be more educated on as women are being taken advantage of, as the industry does not keep womens wellbeing as there first piroty. Porn has been accessed for years dating back to the 18th/19th century as stated in the article about the definition of porn. The western world started printing porn in the 19th century and ever since then porn has been around. However in recent years porn has become normalised in society as people have become more secular and accepting of women doing sex work. Society viewing sex work should be a positive outcome for women, but modern porn culture has become dangerous for women, not only how the industry treats them but how men now view women as sexual objects. 

Porn culture has evolved so quickly over the last 30 years however I want to focus on modern porn. These platforms are free and can be accessed by anyone meaning sex work is has become normalised. Modern porn has led people to realise that society has become desensitised.
