Spectre’s hanging out with some friends! How nice.

“Summoning, from the Kamere Clan Dojo, one Sensei of the Kamere Clan Ninjutsu Arts, and integral witness, Tokage the Chameleon.” With a bang of his gavel and a poof of smoke, a wizened, old looking Chameleon appeared behind the podium, while Spectre was teleported to a jail cell containment to the side.  “Now, Tokage-Sensei, do you hereby vow, under the Oath of the Kamere Clan Banner, to tell what you believe to be the truth?” Zephyr squints his eyes, almost like he’s trying to see through the old teacher of the Ninjutsu arts. Unfazed, Tokage simply gave a grim nod. His eyes wandered to Spectre, a look of disappointment and sadness in them, before shaking his head. “Indeed I am, thy dominance. Tokage the Chameleon, working under the Kamere Clan Oath for over 50 years, teaching aspiring youths to become great Ninjas.” He nods his head towards the Magistrate. The Dojo Master’s voice was weak, shaky almost, but everyone knew that was a facade. In a job where lives are lost at a young age, you should always fear and respect the elderly. Tokage himself was a Brownish-Gray Mount Nyiro Bearded Chameleon, with a single faded silver horn and a long but thin stark white beard from his chin.  “And, a few years back, while one Spectre was under your tutelage... How would you describe him?” The Magistrate probed, looking to the teacher. Tokage could only close his eyes. “Impetuous, close-minded, power hungry, and. . . Most importantly of all, unskilled.” The Dojo Head spat out, vitriol in his tone as Spectre flinched at each word. Even all these years later, the Sensei of the Clan had words that still cut him like a knife.  “So, you are to say that Spectre was a below-average, if not outright failure?” “When compared to the progress of our other students, Spectre was barely passing the tests. If I had to rank his skills on a scale of 1 to 5. . . 2.5″ The crowd was alight with rumblings and ramblings, before Zephyr raised his gavel as high up as he could, before bringing it back down with a resounding ‘CRACK!’ sound. The court became still as Zephyr gently placed the gavel down. “I should expect no less from a commonfolk household-raised Chameleon.” Once again, even though they were all but silenced but moments prior, the court became alight with chatter. A commonfolk household? Amongst the prestigious Kamere Clan Ninjas? All eyes returned to Spectre, who simply looked to the side. “Prestige is something we are born with, not given. But, alas, it seems the sensei was soft of heart in his old age. Welcoming someone who did not have the talent to become a truly prized Ninja.” Zephyr states, looking at his claws before giving a glare towards Spectre.  “I thank you for your time, Tokage-Sensei. You may return to your Dojo.” With a bow of his head, the old Chameleon disappeared in another poof of smoke, leaving Spectre in his place once more.
