Fan Route Update 6

Hey guys, it's been a while since I've made an update, so here we are. To be honest, I've lost pretty much all motivation for making content for Wizardess. At this point, I'm honestly considering axing all OC fanroutes. Hell, I don't even have the motivation to do Azusa's fansequel, which I've had planned and partially written for at least a year now.

There's been a lot going on for me and tbh I've written and rewritten this post several times. I've wanted to go into depth on what I'm going to but frankly, everyone's fucking miserable right now and I'm sure y'all are having a bad enough time. I don't need to pile on with the shit I'm going through right now.

The General Plan (as of now)

All fangames are axed. I love making the routes playable, but I don’t have the time for programming rn. I know this sucks, but on the bright side, this means y’all will be getting the ran route quicker

There's no estimated release date for anything

The voice previews for Isabelle and Zett will still happen. I haven't had the motivation to work on them but all the lines are recorded so it'll get done eventually

The fan routes and sequels will be fic form only

I’m most likely going to be posting the fics not all at once. I prefer dropping everything at once but tbh it’s hella overwhelming

All OC arcs/routes are on the chopping block but I haven’t made a decision on whether to truly cancel them or not

Zett’s Route

Zett’s route has chunks of it written but it’s not cohesive rn

I have no idea when I’ll start posting it. Chapter 1 is mostly done

Ricadia Arc

This whole arc is on the chopping block

If this arc doesn’t happen, some story threads get revealed in Zett’s route so not everything about it is getting scrapped and some things that have been built up will be resolved

Azusa Fansequel

This will happen but idk when. Sometime after Zett’s route

I have absolutely no clue how I’m going to convey certain endings (on that would’ve ended the game prematurely and the other a secret ending), but I’ll figure that out once I get there.

Wizardess Heart:Cyber

This whole route is up in the air, but it’s most likely going to happen

There will be some art for this made. I’ll probs make a sprite sheet for main players but that’s it

I’m kind of tired of keeping the secret so I’m just going to drop a lot of info bc tired, but also if this does get canceled, at least y’all will know the main premise and that it’s a Vain fan route

Premise: It's the year xx85, and senior Liz Hart is ready to take on the world. With her friends Amelia Nile, Riley Curtis, and Anneliese Van der Whaal, the four hit the local music scene as a rock band, determined to make their mark on the music world. But after Riley's fake ID gets stolen and the man they originally got one from has been arrested, the girls have to find someone else to make one so Riley can perform at their bar gigs. Liz follows some rumors and stumbles upon Vain, a very handsome man working at one of the bakeries at Hidamari Mall. The two hit it off, but as Liz gets closer to Vain, she realizes there is something very wrong with him and something horrific is brewing in the underbelly of Gedonelune.

Background:

With a hardworking father trying to feed his family and an ailing mother on her death bed, Anneliese took it upon herself to help her father out in secret, all while helping raise her baby brother, Billy. She joined a gang at 12 years old, and managed to impress older gang members with her stealth, high intellect, excellence in combat/self defense, and the way she managed to escape situations. At 18, she was recruited by Sal DeLuca and made a hitwoman, becoming an evil force not to be reckoned with. She was hesitant for Billy to join, but knew they needed the money and it helped her keep an eye on him, so she convinced Sal who agreed and made Billy a hit man.

Anneliese would show an interest to Albert Arlington, but the man was oblivious to her advances and she often grew jealous when Finn would try to get the quiet man to pick a girl to settle down with.

At 22, Anneliese was supposed to be second in command, but Sal feared that if she ever gets caught, her punishment would end with death, or other gang rivals would put a bigger target over her head, so he chose Billy instead to protect her. Anneliese grew angry and jealous and soon envied her brother, growing a bit harsh on him but still caring for him as she believes it her duty.

During a break in at some rich person's house, she is caught and arrested, and with witnesses being around (it was a set up), she couldn't play innocent and wiggle her way out of the situation. She is charged with over 20 charges, most involving murder, attempted murder, grand theft and robbery, possession of weapons and illegal drugs, and so on. She is the most notorious female mobster, and is sent to Alcatraz, being the only woman to be sent to Alcatraz as a prisoner. She would be feared at the island prison and would often starts fights with men 5 times her size and win, nearly killing 20 inmates once. She continues to be loyal to Sal, but shows no interest in the plan to murder Albert, but knows she must in order to not be betrayed too. Her only mission is to protect her brother, and she must be alive for that, even if it means she never gets to be happy.
