･ﾟ✧ OPALESCENT often shortened to OPALITE is a south korean six membered girl group managed under lyria entertainment. the group debuted on february 14, 2021 with the mini album opal eyes.

the title track i want you was a breakout success, attracting much more attention than the group anticipated. it wasn't a total surprise though—since members myra, quinn and dahlia are well known from their respective disbanded groups being trainee group bluebell and waltz. due to the sudden influx of popularity, controversy surrounding the band has spread like wildfire.

the most notable scandal being in 2022, an anonymous twitter account claiming to be a employee at lyria claimed that quinn is extremely rude to staff and is an unpleasant idol to work with, but these claims were shot down by other staff— claiming that the employee was only angered because quinn would not respond to his romantic advances.

it was also said that leader myra is spoiled by lyria because of her talent but she's an avid bully inside the group, ever since bluebird she's been that way and the other members don't care. neither lyria or any members have spoken about these claims.

even in the heat of these testaments, opalites success has been climbing, their success rivaling their 4th generation counterparts.
