the classic stories you're familiar with always end with a "happily ever after" however, living in FABLETOWN doesn't guarantee the same favorable outcome. instead they are confronted by an unrelenting and malevolent force known solely as THE ADVERSARY. the force is responsible for the expulsion of numerous fables from their respective homelands ( fairytale stories ) to modern day, NEW YORK CITY. the banished fables find solace within a covert community hidden away from the ordinary humans ( endearingly referred to as "mundies" ) known as fabletown.

far, far away from the stories they've been plucked from, the fables must grapple with the challenges of survival amidst MUNDIES. the streets of fabletown stand in stark contrast to the idyllic narratives from which they were plucked, with opulent castles giving way to dilapidated apartment complexes, and the once cherished notion of a happily-ever-after reduced to a forlorn and unattainable aspiration

✦ 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐜𝐤 for a limited run discord roleplay based on the comic book series FABLES and the videogame THE WOLF AMONG US. the premise of our roleplay will follow the citizens of fabletown and how they adapt from their fairytale origins to modern day NEW YORK CITY. to keep the group engaging the plot will be explored in numerous acts. our FIRST ACT follows the death of a seedy strip club owner and the shocking disappearance of a beloved member of the fabletown community.

𝐚𝐜𝐭𝒐𝒏𝒆: why, elise ?

our tale begins with act one: a harrowing murder; the unfortunate victim is none other than GEORGIE PORGIE , the proprietor of the notorious PUDDING & PIE STRIP CLUB. with the local authorities summoned they were confronted by a gruesomely mutilated body, and as the investigation unfolded, a startling revelation came to light—georgie was entangled in the treacherous web of the criminal underworld, enmeshed in illicit affairs. it is suspected that his untimely demise may be interconnected with these nefarious activities.

disturbing as it may be, the demise of georgie porgie pales in comparison within the vast tapestry of fabletown. a far cry from an esteemed member of the community, georgie’s absence won’t be missed. however, with each passing moment, it becomes evident that his death is a single puzzle piece in a much grander and ominous crime—one that will reverberate through the very core of fabletown. this enigma unravels in the form of ELISE WAGNER, a twenty-year-old newlywed whose sudden disappearance presents a haunting query: where is elise, and what sinister motives lie behind her selection as a target?

this group will undoubtedly deal with MATURE THEMES. for that reason this group is for muns 8teen+ and characters twenty5+. all other information concerning what to expect from this group is listed below.

[ QUESTION ] is it required to know the source material prior to joining?

you do not have to be familiar with the source material to join, but all characters in play must be based on a classic fairytale or fable ( ex. the little mermaid or little red riding hood ). because of this, all characters already know each other.

if you are familiar with the series you can play canon characters ( ex. bigby wolf, ruby red ). but their storylines and connections in the series/game are not canon in this group.

[ QUESTION ] how can i be involved in the plot and what will make the plot constantly engaging?

you will be provided short dossiers on elise wagner, her husband hans wagner, and any other character who becomes involved in the mystery.

your character has the option of joining city council, the team that is investigating the crime, and the criminal organizations being investigated. there's also numerous locations in the group that your character can own and operate.

as mentioned in the summary, the plot will be divided in acts. they will serve as plot drops and it will happen as regularly as possible.

[ QUESTION ] what will challenge my character?

majority of the characters live in the woodland luxury apartment complex. it's far from "luxury", the apartments are depilating and are not well-maintained. however there are other living options that may cause distress between the characters and how well the are "fitting in" in the human world.

unlike the source material, glamour is not a spell but a magical drug that can be purchased. glamour is used to chance the appearance of the user. fables who cannot pass as human are required to use it. fables who refuse to take glamour or cannot afford it are arrested and taken to the farm.

[ QUESTION ] what will the discord be like?

for optimal organization, we will have 3 servers: ooc, quick chats, and long threads. there's no word count expectation, so if you prefer to do chats over threads ( or vice versa ) it doesn't matter.

the activity limit won't be so lenient but reasonable.

you don't have to be an expert in discord roleplay to join. i'm still learning the ropes myself so it will be a learning experience for us all.

keep in mind, this is just an interest check. if it doesn't receive at least fifteen to twenty unique notes then it will not come into fruition.

Hello everyone and HAPPY NEW YEAR !!! With the end of the holiday season upon us, it also brings us to the end of the summer vacation for the Ogden students. Thanks to a vote for members, our plot drop to start off the 2023-2024 school year will be JANUARY 7TH. Check back in for more details as we get closer !!!

In addition, in the next few days, a summer task will be posted that I'm calling I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER. The task will include a description of what the muses did over the summer, as well as requiring some....interesting questions to be answered that have to do their motives. AND..... (drumroll please)....... NEW SKELETONS !!! Stay tuned for a drop of two new or revamped skeletons that will be added for the new year.

Amina is a native of Oxbow Ridge. She didn’t grow up with any siblings, but that didn’t mean she didn’t feel like she had family from those she grew up around. Her father worked closely with the Walkers when it came to training their horses, which is how she spent a lot of her time on the ranch. There was a calmness when it came to working with the animals, which eventually led to her to barrel racing at the age of eight. 

There was a thrill that came being on a horse sprinting down the arena and around a barrel, adrenaline that pumped through her veins. It didn’t come without the trial and errors, the trips to the clinic falling off her horse. It was the Walkers that allowed her to follow this dream growing up, that she had somewhere to keep her horse, though she paid them back in coming to help around the stables, doing the grunt work. That is how she met Sterling; not that many would know him by that name. 

He intrigued her. Quiet and kept to himself, but that didn’t stop her from getting to know him. It all started as a friendship, where she would keep to her duties at the ranch, but then drag him out beyond the limits of the town, almost keeping them out of trouble. A friendship budded at their age that only blossomed into her first love. 

Most were surprised that out of high school she didn’t end up at a veterinarian school, instead, she picked a university close to town where she could study in the medical field. Amina loved animals, but over the years, she found herself helping those that were hurt from the races at the Steveson. 

Eight years went by in what seemed like a blink of an eye and she could start to feel a slight strain on her relationship with Sterling. It only seemed to deepen when it came time for placement for residency and she was placed in New York City. Amina contemplated taking a year off and waiting to see if she could be placed closer to home, but then there had been talk about them both going to New York together, that all was left in his hands; hands that tore her heart into pieces. 

Amina could recount that night word for word, everything he said to her, the love he no longer had for her and he would never be good enough. It felt like she was staring into the eyes of a stranger that the only option she had was to pack up for residency. It was two months into her residency that she learned she was pregnant. It was the world reminding her of everything she had lost, but a small miracle came out of it. 

She met her future husband, Noah, who didn’t turn away when she shared her news and when asked about the father, she lied saying she didn’t know who it was. They married shortly after, before the baby was born, allowing him to have his name on the birth certificate. After their wedding, three months later, Sterling Wright-Jones was born into this world and Amina carried on with her life with her husband and daughter. 

Her life wasn’t perfect, but it was her life that she built in New York, never looking back at the decisions she made in life, because there was no room for the past. 

Life had moments of cruelty, fourteen years later her husband was murdered right in front of her. It left a hole in her heart and after a few  months of trying to grieve and survive in the city, her parents convinced her to come back home. A position opened up at the clinic and she would have a support system to help her through this period of time. Amina hated taking her daughter away from the only place she had called home, but there was no other choice. Sterling protested, but the state her mother was in, she didn’t drag her heels too deep. 

Worse than grieving the death of her husband, Amina was going home to a place she had put behind her for fourteen years, where she would have to confront the past she was running from. Would Remy and Sterling ever forgive her if they learned the truth?

Woodrow House opens with the news of Richard Woodrow’s passing, spreading amongst the 16 wards who once called Woodrow House home. Each of them left the house at different stages of their lives, shaped by their unique experiences and relationships with Richard. They have all been summoned back to the estate according to his will, which specifies that the property has been left to all 16 of them.

Despite how they felt about Richard, they must now decide the fate of the estate within a week of his burial. With each individual having different experiences with Richard and the property, the question begs to differ:

I asked our members and this is definitely something some people would be interested in !!! Some of the answers I got were step siblings for @charfletchh, a younger sister for @heathtalbot, unknown half siblings for @eloiseabernathy, a younger brother for @aletheapierce, half/step/foster siblings for @ash-morse, or even half siblings for THE POLLYANNA (@ollieinoue), even though she no longer attends Ogden.
