oc-tober day three - OLD OC !!

Suikamaitchi (any pronouns) is a Tamagotchi fan character who i created way back when i was in middle school (so like.. 2010ish) back then she didn't have a name, was just something i'd doodle all over the place, and would remain nameless until 2021 ; their name is a combination of the Japanese words for watermelon (suika) & sweet (amai) !! this lil silly gives me instant happiness ^_^

OC-tober Day 5 (Re-designed oc)

This is Liam hes one of my main (non fandom) OCs hes some kinda alien species made back when I was in Heigh school (around the year 2015). He was made in 2021, the second image is his very first ref sheet. First one was drawn almost a month ago did a massive redesign of em So much was going on in his old design put the lighter colors his chest and face instead of hiding the gradient, toned down all the yellow bands on him, have a bunch of OCs with the hair swooping back of the head and fluffy tails so now hes bald and has two tails, also didn't like the horns that much they kept hiding his brows and markings.

oc-tober | my first few days

hello tumbo ler. i am kinda doing oc-tober this year, kinda not. i know my schedule (busy, hectic, hell) but i also know i like to procrastinate (these 3 pieces have consumed time that would've been better used for homework).

so, i'm gonna jump into it... the other 2 drawings and more info will be below the cut

day 1 | favorite oc

ok so i started off strong here... by that i mean i started with day 1!!! (on october 5). this is my favorite ever. i have never really info dumped about this one on the internet before... was gonna use this as a time to start but then deleted what i just wrote LOLL all u gotta know is that bro is stunning witterawy just look. also this oc is from the 1920s/30s/40s... most of the story i've got in my head takes place in the 30s tho 😻

day 5 | redesigned oc

see this is what i mean. i skipped from day 1 to day 5.. but this is an oc i made when i was like 12 (WAY TOO CLOSE TO 10 YEARS AGO) and he was an angsty little bugger... it used to be the case that he was a witch living on his own in a village that, like, hates him or whatever. (because he's a witch.) the townsfolk like rip his tongue out or whatever and then he couldn't speak anymore but still ran like some sort of fruit stand at some sort of market. then like the love of his life moved in and he lived happily ever after. (not true, the love of his life was a BOY so i think they both got killed.)

and wow!!! that's a lot for a 12/13 year old. i came across an OLDDD google doc that had a little bit about this guy in it. the story, as anything written by a 12/13yo, made like. extremely little sense.

so i redesigned bro in about 2022ish. gave him a name, and he's still a witch. he's still missing a tongue. the differences now include that he's AFAB, has a little friend in his head only (pictured. he is cursed) and has a twin brother now. his twin brother works as a knight and like... captured him for an insane bounty. i also gave him a little bit of plot armor... he's some sort of telepath now so he's able to get by without a tongue. instead of straight up fantasy ville, i've been doing a little research into the middle ages to figure out a more, like, realistic setting... as realistic as including supernatural things can be but believe me the story is making a lot more sense now than it did in 2015.

day 3 | old oc

so i drew this today. yes these are in order of when i drew them...

anyway in terms of when i made this one, he's not THAT old. he's a product of my highschool mind and appeared on MANY assignments as doodles.. so he was like, essentially, born in about 2016/17, but i consider him old because i haven't so much as thought about him since like 2020, MAYBEEE early 2021.

this is also making me realize i have a thing for FREAKS. every one of these ocs has something about them that makes them "less than human;" this guy's deal is that he's like.. half fish..

it sounded really cool in 2017 you have to understand this was the vibe of the time

anyway he essentially got scrapped for no better reason than i was just getting bored. like, the story i was developing for bro ALSO took place in the 1920s (dude let me tell u. prohibition era america is actually my roman empire. genuinely in every sense of the real meaning of that trend) but it was diverging too far from reality and sort of becoming an atla knockoff toward the end of my thoughts for it... so then bro at the top was born (girl on day 1) in august 2021 and the rest for this guy was history. such is the damning reality of the creative.

anyway, that's all. i have no idea if i'll keep this up, but some of the prompts have genuinely given me ideas to cure my art block (I HAVE NOT DRAWN SINCE JULYYYYY) so i'm hoping to have time for more 🥲

OC-tober Day 5: In the Future

So i actually went a cooommpleetely different route than what i assume the prompt originally meant. Instead of drawing a "before and now" sort of thing (which i think is age orientated), i decided to do a redraw! Augh....the original 2021 one is. something thats for sure LMAOOO.

Anyways; this is Heaven Nebula (amazingly creative name). She was a super old Outertale OC for when I was in the undertale fandom years n years ago. Her whole story was a little confusing but It's being reworked heavily! (hahsa. heavenly. that was unfunny ill stop)

OC-tober day 3!

I couldn’t decide on just one of these guys for the old oc prompt, so you get to see all of them! (More about them under the cut)

The first four of them were made in 2018 (and if I remember correctly, I got them all as adopts), and the last one was made in 2020. They’re all Transformers ocs of mine, in order their names are Lionstrike, Nighthawk, Silverbee, Windfall, and Starlight.

Since younger me wasn’t very good at drawing robots, I only ever drew them in a human au.

This lineup is from 2021 and I really need to update it, their human design deserve better outfits!!

I need to update their storyline, but the gist of it is that they all met during the war as Wreckers on the Autobot’s side. When Cybertron falls, they travel around the galaxy together and eventually they stumble upon Earth. Lionstrike is the team’s leader and the ship’s pilot, Nighthawk is the navigator, Silverbee is the communications expert, Windfall does demolitions and weaponry, and Starlight is an archivist/historian!

WAKE UP! NEW OC-TOBER POST BY ALLIUM! hi i did todays and yesterdays prompts in one post bc they both apply. kat and yuki are my first True OCs, conceived in 2015 by yours truly. originally a product of their time (and being made by a 10 year old) they are now VERY awesome and VERY silly. underappreciated bc i do not draw them very often and never really have :( but i still hold them very close to my heart!!!!!!

UNDER THE CUT you shall find an UNFINISHED (and likely never will be finished as is) animation i started of them in september(?ish) 2021. MAJOR CONTENT WARNING for blood, gore, knives and religious imagery. im serious when i say major! you have been warned!!!!

I got to think about how Anne's (she/they) design has changed over the years since their intial drawn design in July 2021! So here's a whole post about that! Putting the rest under the cut since it turned out long oops.

[7/6/21] The initial picture (above) is the first drawn OC art that I can honestly say I'm proud of. I liked the color scheme compared to the blues/greens that would make her look more like her siblings (especially Medb), so reds and pinks became her palette! Along with orange eyes because I thought they looked nice (and they do but more so later on!)

[10/15/21] Next up is Anne cosplaying Blueberry cookie from cookie run kingdoms! I do like how this turned out, but I know I had a long way to go in terms of design.

[12/30/21?] These are some doodles because I wanted to come up with more outfits (and draw outfits I would see via ads) and these are okay. I prefer the first one and the second one is lacking tbh.

[2/21/22] I was planning on making a 4koma style comic that just has everything escalating, but I scrapped it since it doesn't feel that funny to me. I do like hair down Anne though, so I cropped that out and use for reference sometimes.

[10/21/22] This was done for an art warm up, the theme was coffee! I changed her palette (mostly skintone) because I felt it fit her more! I really like this art and I hope to redraw it when I work on drawing black hair again! It has such a cozy vibe that would work when they're just getting up in the morning.

[11/28/22] And this is the full art of her current design! I still want to work on it (giving her leggings and shoes, probably boots) I'm really happy with this design, especially how the colors work together! The pinks and orange are nice focal points while the browns and reds compliment them nicely. It's a shame I haven't drawn her more recently than this (other than OC-Tober) but I'm happy this design is this good!!!

[10/20/23] SPEAKING OF OC TOBER!!! Look at them! flourishing!! (siblings from top to bottom: Edan, Rupin, Anne, Grainne, and Medb) I love them all dearly and I miss them.

To wrap this up: have a bonus pretty dress sequence feat. Anne, Grainne and Medb! from September/October 2021! Anne is cosplaying Sarah from the ballroom scene in Labyrinth and the other two are in random dresses I found!

DAY 1: Fav OC ( + why!)

HAPPY OC-TOBER EVERYPONY!!! this is an old piece from last year that i still love :] this is faine aster from Hit MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV Online . i made him in like, 2021 when i started playing the free trial and has been my baby ever since. everyone clap for him or i blow the entire building up, ok?

Old Crackle Art

Between 2021~ - 2024, I've drawn Crackle multiple times! But, at the end of the year, I got a present from @adrenalineangel Specifically, their interpretation of Crackle! And...I. Got. INSPIRED.

So inspired that I'm basically remaking Crackle's reference sheet. Cause I'm epic like that! And also my art has improved since the first "reference sheet" in 2022 (pretty sure that when I made it).

WARNING: (Mostly) OLD ART

I believe this is the first piece I've made of Crackle. I remember initially wanting to draw from multiple different reptiles (multiple horned lizards and beard dragon come to mind), but I ended up drawing Crackle more in line with a stereotypical "dragon" face. Also at the time of drawing, I ended up drawing multiple scars on him.

This one is sort of a redraw, sort of me just modifying the original...From the original. His leather shirt (he's wearing leather armor here, torn from age and Crackle shenanigans). To the left is actually more in line to what Crackle looks like today! I'll elaborate on this more, but during the campaign, they got kidnapped and burned/poisoned. The party did find and saved them, but Crackle wasn't whole again (hence his cracked horn, which will never regrow). He also gained a scar/scar-like marking on half of his face (I overdid it here). Her eye on that side has an aura-sense (that's what most of the party, including me call it) that allows them to check for anyone's spirits.

Not sure when I made this one specifically, but I do know that I made this after Crackle bought/bided on a cape. I was also trying to experiment with colors and stuff (and I didn't finish the mark on his snout).

Unfinished work. Also have no idea when I made this one. Or why. Used to have another variation that had the saturation way up. Looked like an image out of a creepypasta. No idea where that version is now.

This one was part of a series for October 2023 (OC-tober) I tried posting on Tiktok (when I actively posted there). I ended up rushing to get all of the drawings out. Crackle's major flaw was that he tended to shoulder their own burdens and keep things a secret (even though he should've said something)

Also part of the series. This one is far more silly and features Cizae (a character for a completely different project). Basically it was just them wearing costumes, specifically costumes that represented the dragon type Pokemon Dragonite and Garchomp*! I think I titled it "Halloween's Eve Clothing" was because I based it on "Hallow's Eve" and got it wrong. The day was also graced with another drawing of another character (not pictured here). But I gave up on the challenge by then due to lack of motivation.

Crackle: "I thought we were going to coordinate!" Cizae: "I can't (couldn't) fit into the suit!" Crackle: "I customized them!"

*I believe the context of the conversation was that Crackle made another Dragonite suit/hoodie for Cizae, which was why she dressed up as Garchomp. No I don't remember why I thought it'd be funny.

And here is the most recent-ish digital drawing of Crackle! This was part of a WIP regarding a reference sheet for both them and their brother (who I will elaborate on in another post!) But 2024 wasn't really my year (regarding finishing my art).

I have a few more pieces, but I've yet to either screenshot/save them digitally. So yeah now tumblr has (some) visuals on what Crackle looks like!
