Sheogorath grabbed the crying thalmor by her arm once she pointed at him and pulled her close. The embrace of the Daedric Prince felt so real to her.

"Shh..."

Aeva started to cry more. How incredibly disgusting of Altmer culture to starve its people of touch and affection. Crueler than any Daedric Prince, especially him, could ever be.

"I know your home has told you bad things about me, but I am not here to gain your devotion. I see the pain you are in. I wanted to meet you and warn you. I see how you are currently on a way of self-destruction, you cannot fool me, darling. I have been there as well. You have to take care of yourself more. Look at you, standing here. Be proud of yourself."

"Now... wake up and do something for yourself. A little thing. Maybe brush your hair, or clean your face, whatever. Just do it."

Taralka: bright sunny yellow

"Sweet tasting popsicles, summer dresses and shielding your eyes from the sun. Your love is the excitement of something brewing, something growing. It's the almost childish bubbling giggles of something new, but with the potential to stay. It's wide smiles, blinding sunny light and warm bodies that gravitate to one another. It's the the softness, the willingness, the slight holding of breaths in a crucial "what if" moment. It's the impatience too. The bouncing on tiptoes to see further than your eyes can reach, the holding out for a future that never seems to come even though you're ready, you're so so so ready. It's the constant feeling of warm sand beneath your feet, holding out for the crashing waves. And still you wait, dry and impatient and with burnt soles of feet. Your love is sour candy, enjoying it as your nose scrunches up from the aftertaste of it. It's hands that grab and take hold, that reach and ask them to stay and hope and beg and wait. Aeva: cold stark gold

"Fireworks, borrowed lighters and sparklers against a dark backdrop, yours is a love that burns stark and bright. It's scary though, like things that burn always tend to be, but for you it isn't the thrill of the open flames that gives pause and a slight stomach drop of terror, but rather the time when the flames go out, the sparkler ends and the night is cold and dark once again. Fireworks, borrowed lighters, a striken match, your love burns bright and fast and then maybe it passes, maybe the feeling dies out and you're left in the cold once again. so I just found out that heroforge recently released their face customiser feature for all. I decided to test it first on the first mini I made which this feature works on - Aeva! on the left is how she looked originally prior to the face customiser's release, and on the right is after I used it on her.

I used a very mer-like face shape - with brow ridges, angled eyes, prominent cheekbones and all - for the base, then did some mix-and-matching of individual parts so that she looks more like her in-game model and my drawn stylisation of it. her ears are still the same type, just posed to look differently shaped. overall much more lifelike and dare I say cute, especially with certain facial expressions.

y'all know I'm gonna have a blast remaking all of my humanoid characters with this thing.

Mid Year - Does your OC have a favourite celebration? Do they celebrate holidays?

it's hard to say for her, considering that she's never had anyone to celebrate such special occasions with (as well as the fact that there doesn't seem to be much info on Altmer holidays). the closest she comes to having a favourite holiday is a tie between New Life (1st of Morning Star) and her birthday (12th of Rain's Hand), as these are times when she can (almost always) truly wind down and treat herself, with a promise to "become better" .

Sun's Dusk - Is your OC religious? If so, who do they follow?

Aeva is quite the devoted follower of the Altmeri pantheon. out of The Eight, she considers Syrabane to be her patron deity, considering that she herself is a young aspiring mage, and often prays to him(?) alongside Auri-El to watch over her, hoping for progress/success in her life. she also worships Mara in hopes that one day she will be blessed with love and/or beauty.

Taralka: The Lover

likely no mere coincidence that the Lover is also her birthsign. she is indeed a powerful protector who would do anything, even at the cost of her own life, for the few people she has deeply bonded with...

Veixumil: The Ghost

not far from how in life he wanders, searching for a past he cannot return to and a purpose he cannot pin down. and the themes of death and what lies beyond it tie in with his following of Arkay...

for someone shunned and mistreated since the day she came into the world, with no choice but to take it all, forever hoping one day things will change and someone kinder will come along, it is a perfect description...

Rumeranwen: The Ancient Evil

"they have wronged you. perhaps, once, you were something powerful– something to be looked at with adoration and worship and fear. but time does not yield to you, and when you lay to sleep, you awake to find yourself forgotten. your rage is insatiable. no matter what, you will make sure they do not forget this time."

this fits her particularly well, as while she was renowned across provinces for her deeds as the Vestige, when she resurfaces in the Fourth Era she finds herself all but forgotten by the people of Tamriel...

Morning Star - What was the first thing you gave your OC? Name, backstory, design, etc

For Aeva, it was her narrative role/concept/archetype. after my first attempt at a more morally grey foil to Taralka failed, I figured that instead of creating another Dragonborn, I create a more mundane character who exists in the same continuity, acting as its antagonist. back then I was not yet deep in the lore so I thought the Thalmor were the worst irredeemable villains so I set to creating one of them myself, who I imagined would relentlessly hunt Taralka down and terrorise the common folk of Skyrim on the side. then came the design and name, and the in-game reaction to my new character that sent what I had planned for her crashing down and turning her into the oddly sympathetic wet kitten we know today.

Hearthfire - Does your OC have a family (blood or found)? Who are they closest to?

She did have a family, once. at least that's how she herself would put it. when she was a child, she lived with her parents and her older sister, Kythasanwe, and none of them treated her well: Kytha actively bullied her and got away with pushing blame on Aeva while both parents turned a blind eye to it all, their favouritism clear. eventually Aeva had enough of them and ran away from them in her mid-teens. to this day she does not have anyone close enough to her to be considered a found-family...

Frost Fall - Where is your OC's primary residence? What city is there favourite?

Aeva has made her home in Vlindrel Hall in Markarth, in a high place isolated from much of the hustle and bustle below but within easy access of Understone Keep where she can go hang out with her comrades. she could call Markarth her favourite city in terms of climate and aesthetics - it's the least Skyrim that Skyrim can get - as well as for the memories she made there meeting her first friends here, so long as she disregards the rest of its population.

Enemy by Tommee Profitt, feat. Beacon Light and Sam Tinnesz. makes me think of an epic showdown/boss battle between my Last Dragonborn Taralka and her greatest foes - whether that is Alduin, the one she is fated to defeat, or an especially powerful and/or determined Thalmor as bent on killing her as much as she hates them back.

BRN by Aviva. another one for Taralka in general, how she will never back down, be brought down, or be used by anyone, in her early days as a Dragonborn where she has not yet gained much trust or renown. bonus points for the lyric "cause I'm a fighter, a tiger, see me walk through fire" which is especially fitting for a Khajiit warrior whose favourite shout is Fire Breath.

Careless Thu'um by Allinall - I swear I've put this one in every song-related tag game I've done! and yes I know it's a cover of Careless Whisper but the vibe is not the same... I am just that obsessed with it... why though, because it perfectly fits Aevalinwe the Thalmor agent, one of the other protagonists of my Skyrim story alongside Taralka, whose conflicted feelings and need to alleviate recent trauma related to it led her to do... something which she regrets deeply.

Beauty is not a need, she is an ecstasy (respirate) by Crywolf. kind of the "other side of the story" to the above, namely from Aeva's friend/crush Talerion, who she abandoned after being unable to take the consequences of what she did with/to him. he does not know why, and only longs for her to come back since he felt much more attached to her.

I Love You So by The Walters. my interpretation for this one isn't romantic: I think it fits well for Vaicarion, the father of my HOK Eleonora. he's always wanted to see her but never got to until it was too late, and not long after that he mantles Sheogorath; though he eventually loses most of his memories of mortal life, he can never quite let go of his daughter.
