He just stares at her blankly; no hatred, no envy, no sadness. Just an undying emptiness invading her prideful soul.

An emptiness she had gifted him.

“One day,” He starts, breaking the surrounding silence, “One day you’ll soon see that you are just a mere human. A human born with limits. A human who has no right to go past those limits.” He doesn’t sound angry or upset, nor does he raise his voice.

She could only stare back, never does her determination falter. 

“Tell me, do you know what hubris is?” He asks. 

She doesn’t answer. 

After a minute, He shakes his head with a sigh. He continues on, “They will one day tell stories of your hubris, all true.” 

“Farewell, Haru.” He turns away, “For now I realize that I will not be your end.” He walks away, leaving their battle unfinished. 

She watches as he grows more distant and until he is completely out of sight. But, she doesn’t move, instead, she lingers for just a bit longer. She smiles sadly, as she whispers. 

“I know.”

Amelie Sugar- She’s me and y’all should know her. She’s expressive and cheerful, also dramatic. Clumsy and idealistic. Magical girl protagonist. She sees the magic in the mundane and humor in every situation, and is often perceived as annoying. She does get discouraged at times, and it hits hard when she does. Unexpectedly kind of normal compared to the others. She has puffy pink hair. Her eyes are black but turn pink when she gets intense. 

Sumi Shizumi- Based on Haku Yowane, specifically Clarith in Daughter of White. Is albino with white hair. Depressed and gloomy, but sweet. Is an outcast because she was born albino in her small village, which was looked down on.

Sada Oyamada- Based on Neru Akita. She goes by Oya so her ship name with Sumi can be Oyasumi which means good night. Has yellow hair.

Joy Smiley- OC-turned-UTAU. Has chestnut red hair. Clumsy and ditsy and messy but with a big heart.

Soyi- Based on Utane Uta, but as an only child. A catgirl with black hair and dark gray cat ears and tail. Deadpan snarker emo glitchcore girl. She identifies as a glitch (and a gamer’s worst nightmare) and is metal and hardcore af despite being 4’9” and skinny.

Kiri Takamori- Based on Hatsune Miku, more specifically Michaela in Daughter of white. Has clover-green hair. Cheerful and sweet, but has an over-reactive and depressive side. Her emotions are colorful.

Kasumi Takamori- Kiri’s little sister based on Chibi Miku-san. Has darker clover-green hair. Mischevious and curious little kid who gets into antics and cuteness, and often trouble.

Satsuki Adachi- Sada’s younger half sibling. He has yellow-orange hair. A dogboy who loves life. Non-binary they/them he/him

Shimo- Sumi’s half brother. He is also albino. Sumi doesn’t know of his existence until later in life. 

Haru Asaga- Old OC from 2012. One of my first. Originally from my first series Nichijou no Niji. Has rose red hair

Rosa- Sumi and Amelie’s daughter from the future. Don’t tell anyone. Has pale pink hair. She’s a catgirl.

Reina- Has a crush on Sumi. A tsundere who wishes she could come out of her shell. Has dark skin, wavy black hair and silver eyes. 

Rosemary Tangent- Stan’s wife. Sweet and doting to Stan. Hyperactive Math teacher who goes off on tangents. She’s a bunnygirl.

Stan- Rosemary’s husband. Dorky math teacher. Based off Michio. He has bunny ears and is chubby. A bunnyguy I guess.

Rolando- Based off Jiro. Except he’s a Spanish teacher. An easygoing catboy. He has medium-dark skin, wavy dark brown hair, and a bit of facial hair.

Haru winced as she bandaged her left arm, dots of red already staining it. She let out a small sigh, leaning against the rocky dirt wall behind her, closing her eyes for just a moment. Cal had almost ripped her entire arm off, it was only out of pure luck she managed to escape in time.

It was always pure luck with her though, and she was grateful for it.

After a few more minutes of resting, Haru decided it was time to get up again. She grunted as she pushed herself off the floor, dusting away any cold dirt on her. She opened her satchel, and just like she guessed, Haru had ran out of Artemis’ little healing potions. Furthermore, she took a quick scan around the area, and much to her luck, there wasn’t anything she could use to make anymore.

“Great,” She huffed, closing her satchel. Haru moved her left arm a bit, immediately stopping once pain coursed through it. She cringed, as it ached. “It’s somewhat moveable...”

That was good enough for Haru, she wasn’t going to back-out even if she couldn’t move it. So this would have to do.

So with that, Haru marched out of the cave, needing to adjust her eyes to the sudden light. The sky was cloudy, certain parts of it being darker than others, with humid air all around, hinting at a storm later on. That was great, She thought. So now, she needed to decide whether she would come home before it or chase after The Beast. It was pretty obvious that she was going to do the latter.

Luke was going to kill her once Haru finally came back, if The Beast doesn’t….

Haru shook her head. Multiple people have tried to do it, and all have failed, she will make it back.

“Stay focus, Haru…” She mumbled to herself, gently patting her cheek with her good arm. “He should be close.” Reo said The Beast should be somewhere near The Leaside bridge, which was deeper inside The Forbidden Forest. Who knew he and Shade would be so close to them?

Haru traveled deeper into the forest, keeping a hand right next to ‘Master’. Cal had taken her by surprise last time, he wouldn’t do her little scheduling. He was different from the others she had fought. He actually wanted her dead for something she didn’t do.

It was surprisingly a peaceful walk, after that. There didn’t seem to be any other animals, besides a few deer here and there, and it was just silence for the most part. Leaving her alone with her thoughts, but that didn’t mean she could drop her guard. She knew better than to.

And she was thankful she didn’t, because a few minutes later after making it to the old creaky bridge, a distorted voice filled the air. “The Hero finally comes to see me, what an honor.” The Beast laughed.

Haru quickly spun around, not wasting a single moment to unsheathe ‘Master’ from its scabbard, the blade pointed at his chest. She hissed as her left arm throbbed, faltering for just a split second before regaining her stance. “Your time ends here, Beast.” Haru boasted, feeling excitement build up in her chest. This was her big moment, everyone would call her a ‘True Hero’ afterwards. Her eyes lit-up, and she couldn’t stop herself from smiling. “Prepare to die.”

From the looks of it, The Beast was in control of Shade’s body at the moment, as he looked at her amused. “Already? Well that’s a shame.” He playfully sighed, spreading out his arms. “Alright, if you say so.” His little tail wagged, as a condescending smile grew on his lips.

*Later after the fight I have yet to write*

Luke shook his head, disappointment clear in his eyes as he cleaned up Haru’s bloody arm. He let out a deep sigh, pressing the wipe deeper into the wound causing her to cringe. “Do you not use that brain of yours?” He grumbled, “Because I swear you don’t use it.”

Haru glanced away, “I use it pretty often actually.”

“Then why did you go? When everyone, specifically, told you to wait.” Luke snapped, squinting his mismatched eyes at her. “We were going to go together as a team, Haru. What didn’t you understand?”

Haru bit her lip, continuing to look out the window. The quiet pitter-patter of rain hitting it, they were lucky to have found her before the storm came. All she wanted to do was help, that’s all she ever wanted to do. So why couldn’t she just do that? Haru hated how useless she was.

Luke’s eyes softened, as he got up, letting out a small grunt. “Look Haru,” He started, she could hear the pity in his voice. It was all she ever got. “I know you’re very smart, but you have to use that brain of yours more often in battles. You can’t keep running in and expect to make it out alive each time.” He despite the thought of Cal or someone else taking her away, and he hated how he constantly had to worry about it. It was an everyday thing, and he thought she got over it that night with Tony.

He tossed the dirty wipe into the trash-bin, before stuffing his hands into his pockets. He waited for Haru to respond, waiting for her to come up with a stupid excuse on why it was perfectly fine. But it never came, and instead, she just kept looking out the window too lost in thought.

Luke stood there, conflicted with what he should say. It wasn’t until a few minutes later, he decided to just leave her alone for a bit. He was sure she’ll talk to Artemis’ once she came back. “I’ll see you back home…” He whispered before exiting the room, silently closing the door on his way out.

Emma clung onto Haru like her life depended on it. “You…You won’t leave me right..?” She asked, her voice cracking as tears streamed down her face. She looked at Haru in desperation with bloodshot eyes.

Haru looked back uncomfortably. Her heart throbbed, something inside her telling her to apologize. How could she be so selfish to have done this to her friend?

‘Tell her you’re sorry. Apologize for being so greedy with her love.’ It told her. She opened her mouth, but nothing came out, her voice dying in throat.

Emma sniffled, her lips trembling as she waited for Haru’s response.

Haru wrapped her arms around the older girl, pulling her closer and resting her chin on-top of her head. “I’ll always be here for you,” She replied quietly, rocketing Emma back and forth.

She stiffened before melting in her arms. “Thank you...Thank you so much…,” Emma mumbled, “I knew you’d understand.”

Haru stayed quiet, nodding along to her.

“Does…Does this mean we’re…together now..?” Haru paused, tensening up at the question. Emma quickly added, “O-Of Course we don’t have to be if you don’t want to…!” Despite seemingly being given a choice, Haru felt like there wasn’t an opinion.

Haru closed her eyes, wordlessly nodding.

Emma’s eyes lit up, like a child’s on christmas day, before she tightened their hug. She shaikly laughed, hiding her face in the crook of Haru’s neck. “...You don’t know how happy this makes me…,” She whispered, “Thank you…”

Red is a very possessive and manipulative one, and what makes it even better is that he's a great actor with a ton of anger issues underneath his golden humble boy act. So he'll basically willing to do anything to keep you to himself, and while he doesnt necessarily like to get his hands dirty, he will if needed

Dan is a stalkerish, possessive and manipulative one. He can turn into other people, so he has a huge upper hand. He'll willing to ruin your relationship with everyone, just so he'll be the only one by your side when you're left alone.

Cal is a possessive and manipulative one, and will probably try and take away most of your freedom. He will definitely kill people just to keep you with him, and he will trick you into thinking you're a bad person and he's the only one who will ever love you because of it.

Jason is another possessive and manipulative one. He's very smart, and knows a bunch of ways to keep you locked up from the world to keep you safe. He's fully aware how unhealthy his feelings are but doesn't care.

Rick and Liz would be a duo, Rick being possessive while Liz is both clingy and manipulative. Rick would do the dirty work while Liz would comfort you, and tell you how they're only doing this because they love and etc.

Steve is a possessive and blunt one. He knows how to kill people, because he is a cannibal. So if he sees someone getting to close to you, he will kill them and feed them to you. He doesn't care to hide his Yandere traits for you, and also knows how unhealthy his feelings are.

Phoenix would devote her entire life to you. She's also a manipulative and possessive one. She would worship you as some type of god, and would do anything to keep you with her. Also would be very overprotective. Phoenix would watch everything you do carefully and would want to know everything about you so also stalkerish.

Wrath is a violent, blunt, and possessive one. He doesnt care to hide how much he wants to keep you all to himself and will show you the people he has killed as Trophies. He wouldn't hurt you in anyway tho, when it's just the two of you and you're being sweet to him. You might even forget he was the same person.

Asmodeus is a manipulative, possessive and Clingy one. They are the avatar of lust, and it's rare for him to be so attached to someone. So she's keeping you no matter what. Will tell you things like, how no one else could love you and how you two were made for each other. He'll probably never leave your side

Ego is the avatar of greed soo, She's possessive. Very possessive. Just hates it when someone even breaths the same way as you. Would probably keep you near her at all times, or lock you away.

Reo is manipulative and possessive. He wants to keep you safe from the world, so he's overprotective. Would worry about you very second you weren’t with him. Reo also doesn't want you to find someone better then him, he doesn't wanna lose you to anyone else. So yeah, he'll probably get his hands dirty.

Jessica is obsessive and manipulative. She has control to your memories so, she could wipe someone that she doesnt want you to remember away or if you've seen her kill someone for you, she'll hide that memory away. She doesn't really need to manipulate you much because of that.

And finally Haru. Haru would devote her whole life to you, and would do anything to protect you. She's overprotective, obsessive and manipulative. She's a very smart girl who has watched your every move, so I guess also stalkerish. She wants to know everything about you, and would try to convince she's trying to protect you from villains and monsters. She's highly delusional that you love her, and that she's doing the right thing to keep you safe.

Just which groups would share their darling with each other, and be in a Poly relationship in a way

My Homicidal Kids, Haru, Red, Luke, Emma and Dan. Of course, Haru and Dan would fight over their darling attention, and love but they would still share them. Red would be the main one in charge of this, and what Red says goes by the whole group. Emma, and Luke would be the chill Yanderes in this group, with Luke acting motherly to them and Emma just being really sweet to them.

My other Homicidal Kids, Jessica, Rose and Kevin. They're a wonderful team when it comes to their darling, and there's barely any Jealousy in the group. Jessica is the main one because she's the responsible one, and has the ability to wipe their darling's memories if needed. They also make sure Kevin doesn't accidentally lose control of his curse, and take a bit out of their darling. [Kevin is a cannibal.]

John and Cheat ofc, A lovely poly relationship. They'll just be a lot more overprotective of their darling and wouldn't necessarily care if they aren't the same level of crazy in love as they are.

Phoenix and Olivia are another good poly one, Olivia is the main one that shows her yandere traits for both her darling and Phoenix. While Phoenix is more the relaxed Yandere but is somehow worse.

While with Phoenix and Vaz, both of them are pretty chill with their darling but Phoenix would be morr attached and protective of her darling and Vaz.

Context: Haru brought Jessica along for a mission and ended up leaving Jessica alone to chase after Cal. While searching for Haru, Jessica runs into Shade. Jessica is about to Leave, and then this scene plays out.

"You wish to forget." Shade whispered, shadows swirling around the tips of his fingers. Seeing Jessica pause caused a little sinister grin to graced his lips. "To have some relief from certain memories that don't belong to you." The shadows formed a ball in his hand, "And if that's what you truly want then…" She didn't get much time to react. All it took from Shade was one flick before the shadows shot through Jessica's heart. "Who am I to keep you from it?" 

Jessica gasped for air as she clutched her chest. Pain spread throughout her body, causing her to lose her balance and stumble onto the floor. She was sent into a coughing fit, little drops of black goo dripping onto the floor. Shade took a step back, a portal made of his own shadow forming behind him. "Enjoy." He chuckled, leaving just a few seconds before Haru arrived. 

"Jessica!" Haru rushed over, falling onto her knees. She gently patted her back, cringing as some of the black goo strained her pants. "Shit- I shouldn't have..." Haru bit her lip, mentally cursing herself. Cal could have waited, Jessica was left defenseless and they both didn't know what Shade was fully capable of. What made her think that was a good idea? Opening her satchel, she rumbled around in it. "Hold on- It's somewhere in here..I hope." She told the other girl, who looked like she was trying to calm herself down. Haru pulled out a small bottle, filled with a dark pink substance. She grabbed Jessica's chin, and opened her mouth for her before forcing her to drink whatever it was. "That should sooth most of the pain. Artemis made it, so it should work." 

And it did seem to work, Jessica's breathing calmed down and was going back to normal. She let out a small groan before letting herself fall into Haru's lap. She didn't say anything, only closing her eyes and letting sleep take over.

Haru stayed there for a moment before Scooping Jessica off the floor, stumbling a bit before finding her balance, holding her close. "John's gonna kill me."

She dropped ‘Master’, letting it clink once it hit the hard floor. “Honestly, You could rip my heart from my chest, and I’d still adore you.” She chuckled, stalking closer to the frightened girl.

“S-Stay back..!” Emma trembled, crawling back until her back hit a wall. She stared up at the much taller person, eyes widened as her breathing became uneven and ragged.

Haru kneel down in front of her, giving her a pleased smile. “Ahaha, Well isn’t this a bit cliché.” She joked, “It’s almost like a horror movie scene-- Which wasn’t the vibe I was hoping for but it doesn’t matter right now.” She cupped Emma’s face, causing Emma to shiver in response. 

Salty tears streamed down her cheeks, as she hiccuped. “L-Let me g-go..!”

But Haru just shook her head, before pulling her in for a hug. “I’m sorry you had to see that but I needed to protect you.” She whispered sweetly in her ear, “I will protect you. You’ll see soon enough.”

That was the last thing Emma heard before everything turned black, causing her to fall limp into Haru’s arms.

“Thanks for helping me, Haru. It’s really sweet of you.” 

Haru just nodded quietly, carefully patting the dirt around the flower, fear still filled her mind. 

Jessica frowned slightly, at the lack of a response. She felt her hands itch slightly as she stared at Haru longer, feeling the temptation grow stronger. She held her hands behind her back, before smiling sweetly at her.

“I have one more thing for you, Then you can head to bed, Ok?” She said, calmly walking over to Haru. 

Haru just raised an eyebrow at her as Jessica slowly kneeled down beside her, only realizing too late what her own goal was as Jessica cupped Haru’s face, looking directly into her dark eyes as the world around them started to blur.

“You don’t need to remember those unworthy of your love. For you only belong to us and Us to you.” She whispered, her orange eyes now bright white as she chanted something underneath her breath.

After a couple more seconds, it felt like a huge weight was lifted off of Haru’s shoulders as Jesscia slowly let go.She blinked and shook her head softly, “Sorry, Did I space out for a few?” She asked, smiling quietly seeing Jessica giggle. 

“You must be tired, Let’s get your pretty head to bed.” She replied, pulling Haru off the ground. 

Haru slowly nodded, a tint of red on her cheeks, suddenly feeling warmer around her. “Can you sleep with me tonight? I don’t like sleeping alone.” 

Jessica chuckled softly, causing Haru’s face to turn redder. “Oh Silly!~ I always sleep with you! Don’t you remember?”

Haru paused for a moment, before rubbing the back of her neck as Jessica led her towards her room. “Oh, Sorry-- I forgot for a minute.” She smiled guilty, causing Jessica to playfully punch her arm.

“Must be really tired then.”

“I guess so.” She mumbled, feeling her eyes slowly closing as she hit the bed, unaware of Jessica's adoring gaze as sleep finally took over.

Jason sighed and turned towards the door. "Can you please stop? It's getting really old now." The sadness was clear in his tone. Jasmine and Jojo looked at him with a look of pity as he marched out of the classroom before giving a short glare to the two younger kids.

"Tch. You two really need to stop hanging out with that Ghost Freak." Was all Jojo said before following after Jason as Jasmine nodded and joined him.

J.C. sighed and rubbed the back of his neck, casting a sad glance over to Creed. "You really are dead, huh?" The room went silent after that with Creed just staring at the door, feeling her non-beating heart Shatter. U's face Morphed into a scowl, "Why don't they believe us? I DON'T EVEN KNOW THE GHOST FREAK!" She stomped her foot onto the ground, baring her teeth and clenching her fists, almost ready to punch something. 

Quiet Sniffling echoed throughout the room and U turned over to the Ghost. Creed turned her head down, steam rising from her face. Crying always stung now after dying, but she couldn't help it. She couldn't talk to anyone besides J.C. and U and while she was Grateful for them two, She missed her older brother dearly. "Creed…" U whispered, trying to place a comforting hand onto her shoulder but it just phased through it. This caused the cries to get a bit louder. "G-God..! I h-hate being dead..!" She cried out, trying to wipe away the ghostly tears. "W-Why was I-I so stupid..? If I h-had been s-smarter, I w-would still be here…!" Honestly it was disheartening to see Creed like this. She was always such a happy girl and then that Accident happened and ruined everything. 

"Don't say that." J.C. shoved his hands into his pockets. "Sure you weren't the smartest but no one saw it coming. You can't blame yourself for dying, Creed." He tried to comfort her, key word; Tried. He wasn't the best with others' messy emotions or showing his own but sometimes he tried. But Creed only glared at him, something unnormal for her. "I stood in the fucking road, J.C. OF COURSE CARS ARE GONNA DRIVE ON IT!"  She barked, pulling at her hair. "JASON TOLD ME TO GET OUT OF THE ROAD BUT DID I LISTEN? NO I DIDN'T! WHY WOULD I? I WAS STUPID! STUPID, STUPID, STUPID!" 

U rolled her eyes playfully, trying to lighten the grim mood. "Easy there Creed, if you keep shouting like that I'm sure everyone else will start to hear you."

Phoenix clenched her fists before swinging her head towards Wrath. "COULD YOU PLEASE SHUT THE FUCK UP!" She shouted at him, causing him to giggle more. But before she could shout at him more, The Teacher cleared his throat. "Miss Coleman. This is the second time you felt the need to yell at this.. 'Ghost'." He put air quotes around Ghost, No one seemed to believe her.

“Sorry..” She mumbled, “He’s a pain.” Phoenix tried to explain, knowing it wouldn’t matter. Reo rolled his eyes before turning back to the board, a few classmates giggled at the outburst as she groaned and laid her head onto the desk.

But once Class was finally over, she quickly started to pack up her things. Getting called ‘Ghost Freak’ a few times as she walked out of the classroom. She sent a small glare at Wrath as she stormed off to the bathrooms, feeling like skipping Math class today.

Haru slowly opened her eyes, her vision blurry as she tried to adjust her eyes to the dark. She slowly sat up and realized she was in the hospital again. Confusion filled her head, she didn’t know when she got here. 

A few minutes later, something felt like it was crawling on her skin, which caused her to jerk her head towards it. 

A dark shadow covered most of her low arm, tickling it a bit. She stared at it for a few more minutes before the shadow had grown bright red eyes. Her eyes widened as she opened her mouth to scream for help until another shadow forcefully covered her mouth, causing the scream to turn muffled.

 The shadow with bright red eyes let out a low chuckle, showing off it’s sharp set of teeth. Haru trembled unnaturally, and shut her eyes tightly as it continued to crawl up her arm. 

“No need to be scared.” It sang,

“Awwwww~ You’re lucky I even thought about dating you~.” Anna purred, digging her fingers uncomfortably into Haruka’s cheeks as she squirmed underneath her gaze. Her sickening sweet smile sent shivers down Haruka’s spine. “You’re so fucking ugly that I shouldn’t even be anywhere next you, but since I’m so nice, I take pity and let you call me your stupid ‘friend’.” She spat out, all sweetness leaving her tone as she yanked Haruka closer to her. “So what gave you the right to make me feel this way after you wanted it for so long, just to move onto some other stupid bitch?”

Haruka shook as a few tears slipped down her cheeks, “An-Anna, I-” But was immediately silenced by a swift slap to the face.

“I didn’t say you could talk.”

Olivia threw the small glass ball at the door at the sight. Phoenix was kissing some random nobody! And it looked like She enjoyed it! She felt jealousy pang through her heart, a murderous feeling sinking it. Which was a bit odd, She has never wanted to kill someone before but this girl and that kiss made her feel off. "GODDAMNIT!" She cried, hugging Phoenix's old leather jacket closer as she heard the door creak open. "Olivia? You okay?" Aaliyah's soft voice sang through her ears, her head poking through the doorway. The glass ball rolled back over to the bed and The angel put the pieces together. "Oh." 

She stepped into the room, making sure to close the door again, and made her way over to Olivia while picking up the small glass ball. "What did Phoenix do this time?" She jokingly asked The Demon while taking a seat on the creaky broken old bed. But soon noticed the tears slipping from her eyes, "Olivia?"

Olivia tried to speak but could only sob, so she pointed at the ball. Aaliyah hesitantly looked through the ball to see what Phoenix could have done to make her cry. She didn't get it at first, It was just Phoenix hanging out with some girl again. But looking closer, She could see a faint blush on Phoenix's cheeks and a few minutes later Phoenix kissed the girl again. 

“Oh.”

Aaliyah stared at the ball, unable to take her eyes off of it. A weird feeling built up inside her, it made her feel dirty. She finally glanced back at Olivia, letting the ball fall back onto the floor, cringing a bit once it hit the floor. “I’m sorry.” Was all she could mutter out.

She has felt this feeling before, when she first saw Olivia and Phoenix together but slowly got over it once actually talking to the demon.

“I..I thought she loved me..!” Olivia wailed, “S-She said she only loved..me! That I was her only one..!” She continued to cry out as Aaliyah held her close. Rubbing circles on her back, whispering soothing words into her ear as she poured her heart out.

“Shh..It’s okay..” She whispered, holding her closer. 

But Olivia shook her head, “But..But it’s Not..!”

Before Aaliyah could say anything else, a familiar cold tone walked into the room. “What’s all this noise about?” Satan asked, his eyebrows furrowed as he glanced over to Olivia, who was still crying, and Aaliyah giving him a nervous smile.

Satan noticed the glass ball on the floor, and rolled his eyes. “Crying over Phoenix? Really?” He sighed as he went to go pick it up. “What is she even doing?” He stared into it, but didn’t notice anything too off putting. 

Phoenix was just hanging with a random stranger. Why would Olivia cry over that? But looking closer, he noticed the light blush on Phoenix’s cheek. He could see why now.

The Haru and Red shown through most of the series aren’t the real owners of their bodies. They were made after L’s and Axel’s souls were placed inside of them, leaving the original Haru, and Red in this void. Forced to watch the body thieves.

Haru gasped as she gripped onto her hoodie tightly, coughing out what seemed to be black and blue liquid. 

Luke rushed over to her, placing a gentle hand on her shoulder as he kneeled down in front of her. “Hey- Hey. You okay?” He asked, even knowing that was a stupid question. Of course she wasn’t fine. She was coughing out weird liquid, that shouldn’t normally happen.

“Breathe, Haru..”

But instead of doing as told, She roughly pushed him away causing him to hit the cobblestone ground. While it didn’t hurt that much, it did startle him. “What the hell-”

“Stay the fuck away from me.”

Haru stared at the ground, wiping away the unusual liquid from her mouth as she slowly stood up. She trembled as she slowly lifted her head up, sending an uncharacteristic cold glare at the older boy. 

"Haru, Wha-" 

He couldn't even finish.

Haru had bolted straight out the Cave's entrance, heading to who knows where. Luke pushed himself up, chasing after her. "HARU!" He shouted, but it fell deaf to her ears. He didn't understand what happened.

Thousands of different thoughts raced through her head. She was finally free. She didn’t understand how, but she was and she wasn’t going to waste a single moment of freedom.

Panting hard as she raced through the woods, She couldn’t stop running until she was far from that boy. He was friends with that body thief, he would surely force her back into the sickening void. She refused to go back after so many goddamn years of watching from the sidelines. 

When it was her body.

Over with Emma, and Dan.

It turns out that they were kinda having the same problem.

Red crashed onto the floor for a few minutes and as Emma tried to check on him, He started to lash out. Saying a few death Threats, and tried to throw a few punches to get her away. One of the punches did end up hitting Emma square in the face and knocked her back a few.

Dan immediately jumped in, shouting, “What the hell, Red!?” Sending a quick glare at the red-haired boy before checking up on Emma.

Her nose had started to bleed as a bruise started to form. Touching it made her hiss in pain, “Fuck..!”

Looking at the two in pure disgust and hatred, he ran out of Pit’s library, ignoring the calls of his so-called ‘friends’. 

They weren’t his friends. No, They were that stupid Body thief’s friends.

Before he even knew it, He was lost in the woods. But it was better than hanging around with those two. He had stopped running a bit ago once he was far enough, and glanced down at his hand.

It was trembling.

He slowly brought it up to his face, tears slipped down his cheeks as he started to smile.

He was finally free.

But his celebration was cut short. A small twig was snapped in half alerting someone was close by, as He immediately went on guard. Glaring at a nearby bush, “Show yourself.” He growled.

A little floof of Black hair popped out of the bush, causing his blood to run cold. He forgot about the other two. He took a step back, as Haru stood up, slouching a bit. But something was different from how she looked normally. 

She looked scared of him. Why?

But before they could say anything to each other, a disgusting familiar voice called out, “HARU!” Luke ran through the woods.

Sitting down on the couch, Red glanced over to Haru, who played with her hands as the others talked outside of the room.

He knew she noticed him staring, but refused to make eye contact or say anything about it. 

After a few more minutes of silence, He leaned forward as he turned his gaze to the floor instead. “So…” He started, causing the other to jump in her seat. “You’re not really Haru are you?” He asked.

She took great offense to that, whipping her head over to him as she narrowed her eyes. “I’m not really Haru!?” She snapped, her voice rising. “I’M THE REAL ONE! NOT THAT OTHER ONE!” She gripped her teeth before looking back at her hands. “It’s not fair...It’s my body yet she twisted what I wanted and got to live the life I wanted…” 

Red’s eyes widened in surprise by the outburst. So, She was like him. Her body was taken by a body thief too. What a surprise.

Seeing the hurt look on Red’s face honestly broke Haru’s heart. “I thought we were having fun, You even said so.”

Looking down at him, She sighed softly. “We were but they already took so much of our lives away. I can't go three feet without someone pointing out who that thing was and someone trying to kill me." She hated that. Those body thieves had taken so much of their lives away and Once they got their freedom, People seemed to want to take it away again. Lock them up in those dark icy voids waiting for their chance to escape again. Red clenched his fists tightly, letting his nails dig into his skin. "But- But Haru.." His voice cracked a bit. “We can’t give up just yet! I nearly died just so you could try and reclaim some pieces of your life!” 

Taking a deep breath, She placed a hand on his shoulder. “Thank you for that but..” Giving him a sad smile, “I’m sorry. I already said Goodbye to most of my family so I’ll be fine now.” She told him. “It’s already too late for me but If You want to run still, I’ll help you do so.” Haru whispered softly, not wanting them to hear.

Red didn’t know what to say, This was maybe one of the first times he was at a loss of words. Behind them, Luke, Emma and Dan couldn’t help but feel slight guilt. But that wouldn’t stop them from bringing their friends back, H.S. and R.W. would be fine wherever they would end up again. 

Gently placing a hand on his forehead, and lifting up his red bangs, She planted a soft kiss on it. “I’m sorry that your sacrifice will go to waste, I truly am but it’s for the best. But I think it’s best for you to run now before it’s too late.” 

Holding back the tears, Red nodded. “I’ll come back for you.” He whispered, before taking off. Of course The three other kids had tried to chase after him but Haru had stopped them from getting too close. “The Hell!” Dan shouted as Haru just smiled, waving off in the area Red had ran to. “Why did you do that!” 

Haru didn’t answer, and just turned to look at Shade. “Let’s get this over with.” She muttered, ready to be thrown back into the void. Trapped in her own body forever, Just to let someone else control it.

Shade hesitated for a moment, which was strange. He wanted to do this, Right? But shaking his head, he held onto Haru’s shoulder, gripping on tightly so She wouldn’t run away. Holding The Shadow Soul in one hand, He took in a deep breath before placing it back into Haru. She shut her eyes tightly, pain now filling her chest. Oh how she hated it. But before she could say much, Blue liquid dripped from her mouth before she coughed it up, a few cornflower petals mixed into it. She could feel herself slipping as the void took her back, So the body thief could roam once again. And with that, The Original Haru was gone again as the body dropped to the floor with a Thump. 

While Red watched in the background, tightly gripping onto his bag. A single tear rolled down his cheek as he turned his back towards them. He will save Haru again, No matter what.

“LET GO!” Haru cried, kicking and screaming in Luke’s tight grip. “I SAID LET GO GODDAMNIT!”

Luke bit his lip, trying to whisper soothing words into her ear. “Shhh...Please calm down...We’re only doing this for your own good..” His grip tightened.

Haru rapidly shook her head, “No, NO! YOU ONLY WANT ME TO BE A MINDLESS DOLL FOR YOUR STUPID PLAYTIME!” She shouted, baring her teeth as her eyes narrowed at Red. “I WON’T LET YOU WIN! NO! I NEVER LET ANYONE ELSE WIN BEFORE, AND I CERTAINLY WON’T LET YOU GUYS WIN!” She spat out, too much venom dripping from her tone for their liking. 

And before she could scream and shout anymore, Luke grabbed Haru’s jaw tightly, as Red kneeled down in front of her, holding a pink heart-shaped pill. 

“Open, Angel.” He demanded, his voice sickeningly sweet as he ignored Haru’s shouts and cries. But she didn’t get much of a choice, Luke forced her mouth open enough for Red to pop it in. Haru had tried to spit it out but Red forced water down her throat, causing her to nearly choke.

Luke finally let go of her as Haru coughed and gagged up some of the water, eventually calming down as the world seemed to spin and blur.

Haru held onto her chest as her heart started to beat faster inside of her. Even skipping a beat as Red stoked her hair. “Sleep now, Tomorrow you’ll truly love us.” He whispered as Haru couldn’t force her eyes open any longer, softly hitting the ground as darkness took away her consciousness.

This was the first time in a while that Haru had truly slept peacefully.

Even when she woke up again, not caring for how long she’d been sleeping for, she felt peaceful. Finally at ease, as she woke up in a soft bed, the complete opposite of where she had fallen asleep at.

She felt a pair of strong arms around her waist, their legs tangled together with her’s. She lifted her up slightly to check out who it was. 

Dan nuzzled her neck, still peacefully sleeping, and for the first time in a long while, absolutely melted in his touch. She inched closer to him, wanting to forever feel his warmth. Her heart skipped a beat, as her stomach was suddenly filled with butterflies.

She was going to close her eyes again until the door creaked open, causing her gaze to wander over to it. 

Red smiled sweetly at her, and instead of being disgusted by his sight or his smile, she felt her face heat up. “Why good morning, Princess. You look like you slept well.” He greeted her, softly clapping his hands together as she nodded. 

“How do you feel?”

Haru didn’t answer at first, until she finally gave him a small smile, nearly making his heart burst with joy. “Buzzing with warmth.”

They had finally won, a deep part of Haru that was locked away realized. They finally had her heart on their strings, for them to toy with, for them to do as they pleased. But right now, She didn’t care. She didn’t want this warm feeling to end.

Red’s smile grew, and he came closer. “Let’s go downstairs for breakfast then, I’m sure the others would love to see you after Dan stole you away.” He joked, glancing for a brief moment at the still sleeping boy who held onto Haru tightly. 

She nodded, lightly nudging Dan awake.
