@meervalv0 finished Lenore, and I think she’s perfect. I love her, her pretty dress and giant wings.

Okay, here’s some actual Valentines content. Featuring Konrad Curze, though. Actually a bit of a follow up to the Konrad Curze to the rescue snippet.
One thing that always happened during the Great Crusade was meetings. They were mostly incredibly boring. Sanguinius hadn’t expected this to be any different. If a bit bloodier. It was the Eighth, after all.
But there, across the table, seated on Konrad’s lap, was a beautiful redheaded woman, richly dressed and apparently heavily pregnant. Fulgrim couldn’t have done better. Almost overshadowed the fact that Konrad’s hair actually looked clean and recently brushed.
She chuckled at the Angel’s flabbergasted expression. “Bat got your tongue?” He wasn’t going to ask why she flicked her gaze to Sevatar when she said that. Asking about Night Lord business always made Sanguinius wish he hadn’t asked.
Konrad shifted his grip protectively around his wife. “She stays with me where she’s safe and protected.”
She eyed a Blood Angel who was trying to reach for her. “I have to warn you, my husband bites.” Completely calmly, like she was talking about the weather. Then she turned around to press a kiss to Konrad’s cheek.
A little hysterically, Sanguinius wondered if she could shut up Lorgar as effectively. Pretty much everyone was stunned silent at Konrad acting like a protective, loving husband.
Just as he was about to try to continue the meeting, the door opened and a blonde woman with Nostraman black eyes slipped in.
Sanguinius’ eyes widened till they nearly popped out of his head when he saw the huge black wings on her back. What…how? He was as sure, as you can be with perfect recall, he hadn’t done anything with any Nostraman women, so how did he have a daughter? And where had she been? Why didn’t he know?
He made a noise like a strangled goose when she glided right over to Sevatar, greeting him warmly with a passionate kiss and sitting on him. Too frozen with shock to go feral on the First Captain for touching his child. No wonder he had commented previously about his wife looking like Sanguinius. Why didn’t he tell him? At least she looked happy and healthy…did she even know he was her father?
Konrad smirked at Sanguinius’ face. Hoping Talos had gotten that on helmet cam. Life was good with his love in his arms. Her giggles at the whole situation music to his ears. He’d burn entire worlds to make her laugh like that.

I couldn’t resist an interlude to The First Captain’s Dilemma.
Sevatar tells Sanguinius and the Blood Angels about his wife, causing quite the shock.
I could have made it longer, but that would veer into spoiler territory. Need to finish chapter 2, probably even 3 at least.
Sevatar reminisces on his and Lenore’s first meeting.
The Blood Angel stared at the Night Lord slouched in his chair across the table. He wasn’t the only one. Raising a perfect eyebrow, Raldoron spoke up. “You have a wife? How did you meet?”
Curze rolled his eyes and started playing with his lightning claws now that the compliance meeting between Legions VIII and IX had been well and truly derailed. On, off, on, off, over and over again.
One of those chilling corpse-like smiles spread across Sevatar’s face.
“Back when I was a boy, on Nostramo, I saw the most lovely girl. Looked like an angel, she did. Not unlike your Primarch, now that I think of it. Might be the freckles.”
Leaning back so far it was a miracle he didn’t fall, balancing on the back legs of his chair, Sevatar continued. “You don’t see fancy ladies like that in my neighborhood much. It’s risky, you see. But she stabbed a would be mugger with a hatpin, then broke his nose.”
Jago ignored the horrified looks. That was life on Nostramo.
“I knew then she was the one, with spirit like that. We kept meeting whenever we could. I got her a knife, the handle made from the arm bone of a man who wanted to kidnap her. You know what happens to lovely young ladies getting snatched off the street.”
Apparently only the Primarchs knew. Konrad wasn’t really listening, but Sanguinius looked even more horrified.
Sevatar shrugged. An exaggerated motion to make it more visible in armor.
“Nostramo at its usual. Her father didn’t much like me at all. Did everything he could to keep her away, but she still has the knife. And then the Great Crusade brought us back together. I’m a lucky man.”
He could have gone on, but Konrad didn’t have much patience for rambling about sweet Lenore. Would be so tedious to get stabbed by his Primarch.
Looked like she was right, though, Sanguinius looked like he wanted to ask a million questions, romantic that he was. Might net them some aid with her rat bastard family and their trouble causing ways.

Was chatting to friends about doing an AU story where Lenore goes to Konrad for help. I was struggling with how be’d react.
The result? Since Lenore is Sanguinius’ kid, and he looks a lot like Konrad, Konrad totally blue screens seeing a kid who looks like a blonde him.
Cue Konrad frantically trying to figure out if he did something(someone) he doesn’t remember fourteen years prior.
So funny I had to record it in a post so I don’t forget.

Lenore now has a backstory written up.
TW: Nostramo fucked-up-ness.
One sunless winter day in 884.M30 as the Imperium of Man counts time, on the dreary world of Nostramo, two children were born. As happens all over the galaxy.
(Later estimated to be 980.884.M30 by Imperial archivists)
These two would turn out to be linked. The first, in City’s Edge, Hive Quintus, was the later to be infamous Jago Sevatarion. Unaware of his checkered future. But what he had was a mother.
The second, in a towering gothic castle outside of Nostramo’s teeming hive cities was a blonde girl saddled with the name of Anastasia Eleanor Victoria Erzsebet Voronina. (Later preferred the shortened form Lenore.)
Unusually decanted from a Drukhari cloning vat by one of the feared Haemonculi. According to the wishes of one Count Vladimir Alexander Gabriel Voronin, the lord of the castle. Who had decided on this course of action due to the sheer impossibility of finding a wife lacking in the curiosity to go poking around his secret rooms.
A man cannot be spending his life on lavish weddings when there is work to do, as he would remark.
His daughter was mostly left to be raised by servants until she was old enough to be of use in his schemes.
What neither the Drukhari nor the Count knew was that the wrong infant had been delivered.
Having more genetic material than needed, the Drukhari had made several infants. While this girl certainly had the Count’s genes, the other parent was the Primarch Sanguinius. Moreover, the Haemonculus had infused this child with a shard of the Aeldari God of War, wrath, destruction and murder, Kaela Mensha Khaine. Khaine the Bloody Handed. Making her 1/3 Nostraman, 1/3 Primarch and 1/3 Aeldari.
Illicit substances may have been involved in the confusion, as well as an inability to tell mon’keigh infants apart.
Lenore, being who she was, frequently slipped away from home to explore. On one such trip, she met the young boy Jago Sevatarion. Who found her takedown of a would be mugger to be intensely interesting.
Nostraman men seem to be genetically incapable of resisting women capable of killing or grievously wounding them.
One trip because many, the pair becoming inseparable.
On one such occasion, Jago presented his friend with a knife, the handle fashioned from the arm bone of a would be trafficker, known to deal in slaves. (Count Voronin was not best pleased to lose one of his associates)
This was the last time the two met, as the Count had become aware that his dear daughter had been straying outside his castle. Fortunately for Sevatarion, and the Night Lords’ future common sense, he had not found his daughter’s suitor. Nor that she had one.
Upon Lenore’s return, she was thrown in the dungeon, until the Drukhari could be contacted to force compliance. (Maybe he should have asked the Imperium, as the Astartes indoctrination would have done the job. He was out for blood, though.)
As a result of the Haemonculus’ tender mercies, the implanted shard of Khaine triggered, fully fusing with Lenore to become something more. Going on a godly killing rampage through the burning castle, Lenore came across her uncle, the Count’s twin brother, Adrian Mihail Wilhelm Voronin. He had long desired to wed his brother’s daughter, trying to force her compliance at sword point. Leading to Lenore getting her throat slit. Not that it would kill her at this point. But it was clear that she needed to train to master her abilities.
Purposely falling from the castle buttresses into the moat infested with carnivorous fish, Lenore let her uncle believe she had passed. Fleeing Nostramo, she found it difficult to hide, due to the changes wrought by the merger with a part of an Aeldari god. Additionally the Drukhari were pursuing her as well, finally having realized where their misplaced weapon had been.
The pointed ears were somewhat possible to hide, but the giant black feathered wings from Sanguinius were a different matter. Requiring Lenore to cut her own wings off on a regular basis to avoid detection. Especially after she joined the Great Crusade as an Archivist. The wings always grow back within a short time. But she could not afford to stand out. Not without allies.

Okay, I’m doing a more proper pinned post.
I’m a disabled, autistic woman in my 40s, and I love to ramble about 40k. And creating characters and scenarios. Often way more nsfw than the creators intended.
I particularly love Harlequins, Primarchs and Space Marines. Especially leaning into how inhuman they can be. Conversely I love characters getting the love and help they didn’t in canon.
Sevatar is my favorite. I love Night Lord humor. My own humor can be pretty black at times.
If anything I write inspires you, my ideas are free to use. Maybe throw me a link? I’d actually love to see people’s interpretations of what’s happening around my characters’ perspectives.
Masterlist of fic
I currently have five Primarch children, all of whom now have their own tag.
oc: verity of mars is another splice clone, this time of Konrad Curze and Constantin Valdor. Made in the same lab as her cousin Alyena.
oc: lenore of nostramo is the splice clone daughter of Sanguinius, Kaela Mensha Khaine and a Nostraman Count. Blame the Drukhari.
oc: ayliel of colchis is Lorgar’s natural born daughter, she had a mother and everything. Raised on Terra by the Emperor.
oc: alyena of mars is a splice clone of Corvus Corax, thanks to Belisarius Cawl. With memories of her past life as a minor, local Saint.
oc: nimue of caliban is Lion el’Johnson’s natural born daughter. Who admires Asmodai and loves pink and glitter. Yeah.
Not Primarch children:
oc: sigyn russ, Leman’s newest wife, whom he picked up in the Warp.

Was thinking about making it so that both Lenore and Alyena, being lab created Primarch daughters, have Bechter’s Glands.
I like the idea of acid spitting crows, lol. Suitably outrageous for 40k, hehe.

How to make the Blood Angels want to murder Sevatar:
The woman turned to face Cato and the Sanguinary Guard beside him. She looked exactly like a pale Sanguinius in female form. Down to the riot of blonde curls. Except for the Nostraman black eyes. As she spoke she flared her midnight black wings. “If we are using titles, young Duke, you are addressing Countess Anastasia Eleanor Victoria Erzsebet Voronina of Nostramo.”
Those wings were huge. Shadowing the entire room. She grinned, a fanged threat. “Though my favorite title remains ‘Wife of Jago Sevatarion’”
Cato’s mouth felt dry. A Grand Duke did outrank a Duchess, but by Guilliman, she reminded him of his mother.

Lenore Image References
I seem to be needing to make one of these for Lenore too.
Under the cut are a selection of images with commentary, to describe Lenore’s appearance.
First off, this:
Tumblr media
While the colors are wrong, the face shape and details are perfect. This only needs recoloring to be her face.
As for her hair, this is the closest I can find.
Tumblr media
Both in style and color. Though she rarely wears it down. Usually pinned up in a way that hides her ears.
Yes, she’s terribly monochromatic,
her skin is this pale.
Tumblr media
Doesn’t help that she has the Nostraman black eyes.
Tumblr media
Like this. No whites visible at all.
Tumblr media
Her ears are approximately like this.
Much shorter than Aeldari ears usually are.
Tumblr media
Yes, she has wings. Big black crow wings. Like some sort of angel.
Tumblr media
And yes, fangs. Top and bottom.
Slim hand with long fingers and black claw like nails.
Tumblr media
She has scars and freckles pretty much like this. Claw marks across her nose and the right side of her face, and a line across her throat like someone tried to slit her throat.
Tumblr media
This kind of body type.
The biggest splash of color would probably be her clothes. Here is an example of the typical style she wore on Nostramo.
Tumblr media
Though out on trips where she isn’t allowed, she drops the embroidery, going for dark brown, green and gray colors.
She still covers her hair in this way after joining the Great Crusade, though sticking to muted natural colors.
More pictures in a reblog as I hit the limit.

I’m terrible. I was reading @justanothermemestrider ‘s NSFW headcanons for Sevatar , and I thought of something Lenore might say.
Namely about his “carpet” being scruffy. “Looks like a bird’s nest.” Flexes wings “Is that a hint for where I should be sitting?”

I have been looking at pictures of castles for a while today trying to find proper inspiration for the castle Lenore grew up in.
Surprisingly the best match I have is a combination of two things.
Scone Castle in Scotland and Yharnam from Bloodborne. Yeah. A couple pics under the cut of what I mean.
Tumblr media
Scone Castle has the general shape down, if it was darker and had some gargoyles and things.
Yharnam has the aesthetics down for sure.

Like this.

Lol, I was thinking about a headcanon I read that Sanguinius and Konrad looked very similar. And now I’m imagining some Nostraman starting a rumor that the Night Haunter has a daughter, after seeing Lenore.

All three of my awesome commissions from @meervalv0 in one place.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The first two are daughters of Primarchs. Left, Corvus Corax’ Mechanicus raised daughter Alyena, the only one not to wear a dress. Not her style, as it’s not really a good idea to tinker with tech while wearing a dress.
Second, Sanguinius’ half Nostraman daughter Lenore, showing off her huge wings and traditional Nostraman dress.
Tumblr media
Last but not least is the only baseline human among them, Lady Mirian Valerius. Noble woman from M30s Calth, looking amazingly cheerful for having found herself in the M42 Imperium of Man.

Adjusted Alyena’s height down. I love height difference, and this way it would also be more obvious why Sicarius didn’t realize she’s not a baseline.
Not to mention I adore short women who kick ass.

I just realized something. Mirian might have a certain resemblance to Leetah from Elfquest, but ironically Alyena looks a lot like Winnowill from the same series. Down to similar body shape.
Images under the cut.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Left is Leetah, right is Winnowill. Who doesn’t just look like she would fit right in on Nostramo.

Reading about @hatsubara-8chan ‘s Theia and Titus being childhood friends (which is terribly cute, adorable and sweet enough to give you cavities)
Got me thinking about how messed up Sevatar and Lenore being childhood friends is by comparison, heh.
I know it’s Nostramo, but he fell for her when she stabbed a man.
And when they met again during the Great Crusade he almost killed her, before she pulled the knife he gave her a century prior.
I think most of the galaxy would be questioning her taste, hehe.
