He felt a pull- a calling- a will to be beside this woman and keep her from straying to far into the dark, but she had a way of pulling him in with her.

What are their favorite things to do together?

Well, its Ellis we are talking about so not much. She likes to sit in silence and he likes to read aloud to her whether it’s the bible or not. While she doesn’t necessarily like it, she tolerates it, because she likes him. Another thing would honestly the same thing, but outside - there’s a big tree near his church and so they’ll go sit there or just take the horses out and go into the nearest town. Again, she doesn’t like doing these things, but she secretly enjoys his company.

What was their first kiss like?

oh my gooood it was awkward. Ellis hasn’t kissed a single soul in her life and she made him nervous - but in the sense that she would probably kill him if he didn’t do it right. It was Ronan who made the first move tbh, asking her if he could kiss her and her first response is “why” …. well he would then have to explain why and their relationship wasn’t like any he’s ever had (women usually understand the feeling of being attracted to someone, but she was the anomaly) but he gets very serious when she asks why her.

How did they first meet?

They actually first met in a saloon, Ronan was having a drink and Ellis had walked in and was going to start a fight with some men there, but he intervened. When she actually got into a fight another night and got injured, she had chosen to take shelter at his church, knowing he wouldn’t be able to turn her away and her assailants wouldnt find her there.

okay but ellis showing up to ronans church literally dying she’s passing out, but he takes care of her and when she wakes up they really dont talk to each other for the rest of the day and then she’s like “why are you helping me, i kill people” and ronans all “its okay we all struggle with demons.” and when he looks at her, there’s only warmth in his gaze. “it seems people have been unkind to you. allow me to be the one to change that.”

uuuuwaaaagh but the way ellis and ronan are so opposite like one is a man of faith and loyal to god but the other is the devil incarnate and is past the point of redemption but he still cares for her despite the evil she has done and will do. he wants to save her so badly and she doesn’t want to be saved at all
