some facts:

-she met her husband when she was visiting hawaii and they fell in love almost immediately

-she's a social worker

-she loves and collects fragrances (she helps alex and winona pick out their colognes and perfumes)

-she's an aquarius

-she and winona didn't always get along (winona's father was the more laid back one and she prefered that) but when her husband died they become a lot closer

-after her husband died, she and winona lived in poverty. when winona got a job and enough money she bought her mom a house in northern california

-she always wanted multiple children but was only able to have one

-her favorite time of year is summer but at night. she loves cool summer nights around a campfire

-has a strained relationship with her family (both of her parents have passed, winona never got to meet them)

-she's a line cook and went to culinary school

-prefers gold over silver

-she met alex, farrah (winona's best friend) and bernie (alex's "cousin", is dating farrah and is also friends with winona) at one of alex's volleyball practices (her boyfriend is one of the players alex's team plays against)

-she HATES working out

-she has a nice deep voice (i love women with deep voices <3)

-she's very outgoing but it takes her awhile to develop deep friendships. when she does, she is very loyal

the thing about my ocs is that they would all find me very unusual and odd and uninteresting. alex is basically my self insert character so we're too similar to the point that i'd freak him out. we'd just sit there hunched over and not speaking. actually maybe he'd like that

bestie: i think winona would be my best friend because i would listen to her ramble about her interests and she'd teach me about art and i'd recommend her movies. that being said i would be jealous of her for being married to alex

spouse: i'm aromantic as SHIT n/a (if i had to pick, winona. she's such a good partner)

secret lover: bernadette heyyyyyyyyyy (actually i think alex's coworker kenji would fuck with me too so him as well)

-she and alex are workout partners. she loves weightlifting (im not a gymbro so idk how much is a lot to lift but she's really strong)

-she's dating winona's best friend farrah

-she's a metalhead and has introduced alex to a lot of music

-she's an editor (freelance editing, tv commercial editing, etc) and her dream is to edit full length films (thelma schoonmaker is her queen)

-speaking of films, she's a huge cinephile

-bernie's father and alex's father are stepbrothers and they had kids around the same time so alex's family and bernadette grew up together. (bernie is a little over one year older than alex)

-she and alex like to bicker and argue for fun. they have never been nice to each other and that's how they like it

-she's a scorpio (she and her girlfriend love astrology)

-she barely passed high school. she had a hard time at school but envies alex for his intelligence (in fact her whole family is really smart and she feels like she doesn't compare) (she's really smart in other ways someone pls tell her)

-her family is greek and she's learning greek on duolingo

some oc lore - alex's sister and her family

i plan to go back and redo my posts about alex's family, so i'm starting with his sister. his brother is next, then his parents

an updated version of cristal (whose name i still haven't changed) and her husband mitchell (there was supposed to be a wedding post last month, couldn't find enough cc/poses/builds to make it happen just know theyre recently married)

cristal is about a year older than alex. she introduced alex to volleyball, though she stopped playing after high school. she's very family oriented and takes great pride in her family, but especially her children. she works at her city's local office building doing some sort of bureaucratic job idk. she's not especially passionate about her job, but it's flexible and has good hours. i feel like if she were born nearer to the invention of tiktok she'd be a lifestyle influencer. she enjoys keeping a nice, aesthetically pleasing apartment and is pretty crafty with making new decorations.

mitch is now an engineer, former construction worker and is a really sweet, outgoing person. mitch is also pretty adventurous and likes to travel. he's the kinda person to walk up to a stranger and start a conversation that lasts hours. he's really interested in cooking and would have become a chef if culinary school weren't so difficult. cristal doesn't like telling people this but they met on a dating app.

cristal's daughter, sara, who cristal had when she was a teenager. sara is 17 now and really athletic. she likes rock climbing, running, golf and tennis, and she also likes learning volleyball from alex. alex is her favorite uncle lowkey but don't tell derek, and she enjoys asking him for help with her homework bc then she gets to spend time with him. she's still unsure of what she wants to do for a career or school after she graduates. something in the hospitality field, maybe.

this is her half brother, cristal and mitchell's son, kieran. he's around 2 now. not much to say about a 2 year old.

this is cristal's ex and sara's father, robin. he and cristal were high school sweethearts. they broke up when sara was around 13 because of a difference in lifestyles, overall relationship desires and parenting styles. they're not on bad terms, though robin misses the relationship security he once had. he has worked his way up to the top of his career in finance and lives in a big, empty house. sara visits often enough.

on the right is sara's new (and first) boyfriend, franklin. he's also an athlete, but at a rivaling school and he met sara at one of his school's games. havent expanded much on his character yet. we'll see.
