Don’t panic if u think u have seen this art before - u have lol

I decided to take the plunge and actually fix the Maeda siblings' skintones, it's not that they were awful, but they lacked some warmth and i always felt they looked weird besides my other ocs, so here’s my fixes of the first four siblings’ skintones

Reason I’m uploading all these together real quick is cause I’ve done a Robin fullbody (finally... um, he’s the main fkn character you’d think i’d do it sooner), and i finalised him with his new skin colour.

for the ocs named after birds, the maedas, i was wondering if you chose their names based off personality traits or if you just thought the sound of it fit them? do they have any similarities to the birds theyre named after?

They’re all mostly just random, I came up with Robin first before any of the others cause tbh I just love the name Robin for a boy!

The others, Raven, Treron, Jay, Wren, I did pick them specifically to be bird names since Robin had one, and I love birds as you know lol

I do think you can assign certain traits to them that are close to their personalities etc

Like, Robin is the smallest of all of them, robins are I think second smallest of all the birds picked, they also hop around a lot and look excitable, which Robin def is lol

The wren would be the smallest, though Wren is the tallest of the Maedas, so I suppose that makes it quite ironic, but could reflect his very shy and reserved nature, wrens are also very naturally coloured and blend in well to their surroundings, which Wren really prefers to do

I don’t have too much in the way of Treron, I picked the name to be quite unusual, it’s the literal latin name for the green pigeon, pigeons are quite inquisitive and surprisingly smart, Treron does like to act like a bit of a smartass lol

Jay.... I don’t know too much of jay birds, but their shape makes them look very sharp and aggressive, Jay as you know is pretty aggressive, but I suppose jays aren’t too much of a threat, which Jay himself is not lol

Raven is probably the one who fits her bird name most, she’s quite large, not the tallest but she’s got a very comfy presence, she’s smart and very maternal, ravens are very affectionate but can be quite bratty, Raven is very much affectionate to her family, but she’s very easily annoyed. I suppose her intelligence could often be underestimated, she’s no einstein or anything, but I can see her being annoyed by people thinking she’s simple because of her line of work and for the fact she’s not too traditional, she busts her ass for her family and loves them to pieces

been meaning to redesign Treron for awhile, I did his and Raven's sketch awhile back but just got around to making them digital today lmao

Robin has four older sibs so here they are whee, left to right, Raven (based on experiment 18), Wren (experiment 13), Treron (experiment 4), and Jay (experiment 5) they have two half siblings too which are younger than Robin who i haven’t drawn yet, but I probably will at some point
