Fun thing to think about it regards to replacement ingo . Considering how bad Emmet is at lying/acting in general he'd probably have fucked up all his social relationships by like month 6. From one day to the next he's just?? Inexplicably adverse to his brother all the sudden. Doesn't really talk to him makes up an excuse to leave whenever he enters a room. Everyone assumes that they just had a big fight but as Emmet gets progressively more paranoid and withdrawn, probably starts being really loose with the coverup thing out of desperation to have any sort of healthy outlet for grieving and starts telling people that he [sugar] is NOT ingo. Which is true but probably makes everyone else assume he's insane

#still thinking abt this how fucked up would that be #1) need to establish that emmet is very much like. hyper anxious and paranoid #he completely withdraws from his social life and stops talking to depot agents. friendily #so like. he's the one acting weird and hostile while [sugar] is mimicking ingo well enough to pass as normal #so naturally everyone [except 4eelesa] assumes Emmet's getting weird and crazy #so emmet just gets progressively more withdrawn and holes himself up in his room all day #ofc mostly like. self punishment. bc he still believes he pushed ingo away #so keeps doing it to other people --> hates himself for ot --> does it to punish himself #also an element of i imagine. why is nobody noticing that ingo is gone !! why am i the only one missing him !!#(gets unreasonably mad that hes the only one grieving his brother)
