By request of @destinationtoast, my efforts in my new hobby(?) of carved gourd lamp-making! Display area for scale:

Gourds front

The right one is from my first class, the left from the second. (I, uh, didn’t realize until I got home what similar patterns I’d chosen 🙃)

Gourds back:

Still a little rough. Especially on the right.

But now. Fiat lux!

I have a back view too but tumblr will only let me add one video. Apparently next time we are experimenting with glitter! I might try out a painted gourd if so.
