Summary: Changmin and you watch your favorite horror movie, ‘Killer Klowns From Outer Space’ together.

Warnings: If you haven’t seen the movie there will be major spoilers and there is one paragraph that talks about Mooney’s body being puppeted… And you two will imitate that scene later because your weirdos 🥹 And of course, mentions of Child’s Play & Chucky. If none of this bothers you, feel free to read! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Changmin X Reader

[A/n: Happy Summerween!! A little celebration post for the holiday~ Just so y’know this is terribly self-indulgent. I desperately want to watch this movie with Changmin because I think he’d love it. So, let’s dream together that he can watch it with us. Also, if you haven’t seen it before and as someone who can’t handle horror usually, I can’t recommend it more. It’s seriously so funny and very 80s, it’s a very easy and cheesy watch. Only one scene (mentioned above) is messed up to me, other than that it’s such a good movie. I love this movie so much. Note to self: Please get the cute Rudy doll.]

Changmin and you have been seeing each other for a couple of weeks. It’s been fun going on little dates with him and getting to know him. It was last week as you shared a milkshake when he asked, “Do you have a favorite horror movie?” You knew from visiting him that he liked ‘Chucky’ and horror, but you were surprised by the question, because most people assumed you didn’t have one because you were such a scaredy cat. But you grin as you tell him, “Yeah, actually I do~” His eyes go wide, “Really? What is it?” You grin, “‘Killer Klowns From Outer Space’.” He tilts his head, “I’ve never seen that movie…” You gasp, “You haven’t before? It seems like it’d be right up your alley!” He asks you to tell him a bit about it with no spoilers. You nearly pout as you ask, “Why no spoilers?” He gives you a shy grin, “Because I wanna watch it with you.” You had never felt so giddy. Someone actually wants to watch the silly horror movie you were obsessed with? But he’s not just someone. He’s the cute guy you’ve been dating who also has strange obsessions with horror. And you think you love him.

You tell him the premise of the klowns appearing and how they make humans into cotton candy for sustenance. You resist telling him about your favorite klowns and what they do. But you can’t resist letting him know, “I think your favorite klown will be Jumbo… And possibly Slim.” He tilts his head, “Oh, they introduce themselves?” You shake your head, “No, but they’ve been named over the years.” He nods, and you’re beaming with excitement as you tell him about it. You ask him about his favorite horror movie and finally he tells you all about ‘Child’s Play’. And how he considers the ‘good’ Chucky that you had seen on his couch to be his son. And you excitedly tell him he should bring him over when you watch the movie together so your Rudy will have a friend to watch it with. He grins, “I’d like that a lot~” You grin, “Our sons will have a playdate then!” The two of you giggle before you share another sip of your milkshake. You wouldn’t consider yourself a fan of horror, just this movie and maybe a few other comedy horrors. But talking about horror with him made it sound like you were talking about daisies and rainbows and oh, how you couldn’t wait to watch movies with him.

So, when the day comes, you thought it’d be fun for the two of you to snack on cotton candy and popcorn while you watch to help yourselves immerse. You grin as you open your door to him. He places a chaste kiss on your lips before he pulls his son out from behind his back, “As promised, Chucky’s here~” You smile as you tell him, “Rudy is already waiting for him on the couch!” He grins and sets Chucky down beside Rudy. And fixes them so they look like they’re watching the movie together. You giggle as you look at them, and the two of you take photos of them. “Oh? You got us cotton candy to eat?” He pauses and gives you a cheeky look, “Is there blood and guts in them?” You shake your head, “No, sadly they only sell blood and gut free cotton candy.” The two of you giggle and you sit down on the couch besides him.

As you grab the remote to start the movie you can’t hold back your excitement of finally getting to watch it with someone equally interested as you. “I never thought someone would want to watch this movie with me.” He looks at you, “Why?” And you look down, “The 2016 clowns and people think ‘IT’ is better…” He laughs, “Oh, I forgot about those.” You nod, but you tell him, “It’s so much funnier than ‘IT’. I promise.” You press play, and you grin as The Dickie’s song plays and shows the beginning of the movie. Before it pans out to the ‘makeout point’ or, as the characters call it, “Top of the World.” And he teases, “I thought this was supposed to be rated PG-13~” You hum, “It doesn’t have to be for us~” He gasps as if he’s appalled, “And I thought you just wanted to watch a movie.” You smirk as you get close to his lips, “I do.” And you whisper against them, “But maybe after we watch our movies~” He smirks as he pulls you in for one, “Sounds good to me~”

When the klowns make their first appearance, he tilts his head, “Oh? They’re not that scary though?” You laugh, “No, not at all~” He says, “You can kind of tell they are in costumes.” You agree, “Mmhmm, and it feels very 80s.” He agrees, and you both watch as Debbie and Mike explore the tent and run into your favorite klown. And cry to your plushie, “Look, Rudy it’s you!” Changmin grins, “That’s him? And that’s your favorite?” You nod as you eat popcorn, “Along with Shorty, you’ll meet him soon.” He asks, “Oh, I wonder why they have a popcorn machine…” You eagerly tell him, “That’s their babies…” He gasps as he stops moving his hand to his mouth, “Wait, we’re eating their babies?” You nod as you munch on another handful of popcorn, “Yeah.” He gasps before he continues to eat more popcorn with you. You watch as Rudy chases them and sprays Debbie and Mike with popcorn, he goes, “Popcorn guns?!?” You grin, “Yeah, aren’t they fun!?” He nods before he asks, “Do they have cotton candy guns too?” You nod and he watches in excitement, wondering if they’ll get caught as Spike makes a ballon dog. You giggle as it animates, and he gasps, “A bloodhound balloon dog!?” You grin, “A little cutie!” Until, of course, it gets popped by Mike’s GMC blazer… And Changmin pouts about it, and you kiss his pout away.

He already knew you disliked Mooney, but the comment he makes as Mike and Debbie explain the situation to Dave has Changmin pissed off at him. “Yeah, fuck that guy.” You laugh, “Right? He’s a bastard.” His voice tilts as he says, “But Dave?” And you sigh, “Dave…” He nudges you, “I knew you found him some kind of cute.” And you roll your eyes, “His sass makes him even hotter.” You both push each other a bit before you return to watching the movie and eating cotton candy. You both giggle as you watch Rudy and Shorty take over the pharmacy. “I see why they’re your favorites.” You exclaim, “Aren’t they so cute?!” And he grins as he agrees.

You nearly cry at the way Shorty reacts to his bike being destroyed by the mean biker, and you see Changmin is bummed about it too. You pat his back and eat some cotton candy a little sadly until Shorty appears from the sky again with boxing gloves and the biker asks, “What are you gonna do, knock my block off?” And you clap as Shorty does just that. Changmin cheers, “He had it coming!!” You cry, “Didn’t he!?” He sighs, “That poor little klown.” He leans against you as you both watch and giggle. This movie brought you such joy, even if it was a little scary. It was just fascinating to get wrapped up in the world.

You watch as it returns to Dave and Mike in the car. And Dave huffs, “It’s obvious she goes for laughs, not stability.” Changmin says to you, “Oh, that is hot.” You laugh, “Right!? Wait til he gets all roughed up~” He rolls his eyes, and you bring his chin over to kiss him and pull back in time to watch Slim make his second appearance. You both clap for the shadow puppets, and you watch as Changmin’s eyes grow wide at the way Slim makes a shadow T-Rex and swallows up the onlookers and puts them in his popcorn bag. “Does that make them also his children?” You tilt your head, “Yes? I’m not sure. But I guess?” He nods, and you both continue watching the movie as it gets to the more intense scene.

You rest your head on his shoulder as you watch, laughing at all the little remarks throughout the film until Jumbo’s scene comes up. It’s the only scene that makes you shudder, and Changmin leans in to watch it. Eyes wide, wondering what’ll happen as Dave comes in and finds Mooney turned into a cotton candy cocoon. You grimace at the way the punk rock kid’s arm falls out of the other cocoon. You nestle into Changmin’s flannel to kind of hide from the scene. While you know what happens, and have seen it multiple times, it doesn’t mean that it doesn’t make your skin crawl every time you see it. Jumbo picks up Mooney and uses him as a puppet, cutely mimicking him until he says, “Don’t worry, Dave, all we want to do is kill you.” It’s sinister and unsettling. Changmin covers his ears as Jumbo takes his hand out of Mooney and flicks off the majority of the blood. You internally feel disgusted, but Changmin’s eyes are twinkling like this is the coolest part of the movie. Which in the ways of horror, it pretty much is. You don’t feel settled until Dave kills Jumbo, and you let out a sigh of relief.

Changmin is in awe as he turns to you and uncovers his ears while Dave calls out to the state police, “That was so cool…” You laugh, “I knew you’d love Jumbo.” He grins, “He was so wicked!” You laugh, and he holds you close to him. And you snuggle into him, feeling comfortable to watch again. You both watch the short klown parade and he says, “I wish that was longer, I think that could have been cool.” You nod and agree even though it made sense when the main characters were scared but also anxious to get to Deb and save her. Well, at least Mike and Dave were.

You both laugh at the absurdity of the chase and the pie throwing. And end up pouting at how cute Shorty is putting the cherry on top of the custard pies that killed someone. You both whine, “He’s so cute…” Which makes you giggle at each other. He was supposed to be horrifying, but he’s just a little cutie to both of you. You watch as Mike and Dave finally make it to the cotton candy room. And you gasp as you point, “Omg! Look, it’s Chubby!!” Changmin watches with a tilted head as Chubby finds the perfect cocoon to drink from. He gasps, “No way!? He’s gonna use a bendy straw to drink up the blood?!” And you grin, “Isn’t it iconic?!” He cheers, “It is!!” And as they rescue Debbie from the balloon. He points out the other balloons that they don’t burst, “Are there other people in them?” You nod, and Dave says something similar on screen. And before they can do anything, Spike and Bibbo show up. Which makes Changmin defeatedly say, “Aw… they’re not gonna be able to save them, are they…?” You shake your head, “No…” He pouts, and you kiss his cheek.

You ask as you stretch your legs over his lap, “Don’t you think if you knew their weakness was a hit to their nose… That you would have brought more ammo or guns. Especially something with more ammo than a revolver and a rifle to save them?” He laughs and shakes his head, “That’s what I’ve been thinking.” You both shake your head at the lack of Dave’s forethought. You continue watching and you grin as one of your favorite silly parts comes on. You watch as Mike grabs the door and says in a full New York accent, “Another door?!” Mike stands there motionless before he opens the next one, “Another door?!” And you're both in fits of giggles as Dave and Debbie on screen both yell for him to hurry up. And he’s still as he yells, “Another door!?” And with the way you’re both in fits of giggle, Changmin instantly replays it. It was so ridiculous how slow and extra he is about the amount of doors, when they are actively being chased by killer klowns.

And you tell him as the klowns come closing on the three on the podium, “Look how cute and colorful their weapons are!” He laughs as he agrees, “Isn’t this supposed to be scary?” You shrug, “Maybe, but I think they’re cute~” He smirks, “I think you’re cute~” You blush, “I think you’re cuter~” And he kisses you, only pulling away when he hears the Terezi brothers act as the great and powerful Jojo klown and commands the real klowns to stop. He asks, “Is this a reference to ‘The Wizard of Oz’?” You laugh, “I think it’s supposed to.” He hums, and you snuggle further into him as you watch the movie come to its grand conclusion. When Mike and Debbie run to Dave like he’s their hero, you tell him, “All I’m saying is they all put away their differences and are now all happily dating.” Changmin agrees, pointing out how they’ve been holding each other and how excited they're to be free of the alien klowns. And that’s when the pies rain down on them, “Oh? Does that mean it has a continuation?” You shake your head, “Nah, the klowns are dead.” He tilts his head, “But what about the klown children in the dumpster and the one’s in Debbie’s bathroom?” You shrug, “We never get clarification… We have to assume they’re dead.” He sighs, “Oh.” You nod, and he pouts, “I wish there was more.” And you put your head on his shoulder, “Me too.”

When the ending credits are over, he says, “Will you be Mooney for a second?” You pout at him, “Do you think I’m a mean old cop…” He shakes his head and kisses your forehead, “Definitely not. You’re too cute and sweet for that.” He puts his hand on your back, and you understand what he wants, and he has you mouth the words he says, “Don’t worry Dave, all we want to do is kill you.” You both giggle, and you get up and go towards a door, “Another door!?” And he gasps in shock, “Another door!?” And the two of you end up in fits of giggles.

He grins as he kisses your forehead, “I see why it’s your favorite movie.” And he whispers, “It’s so much funnier than ‘IT’.” And you grin as you tell him, “I think I like you a lot.” He grins and kisses your nose, “I like you more.” And you blush as he kisses you on your lips. When he pulls away, you tease and grab his nose and pretend you have it. He gasps, “Oh no!” And spins around like a klown losing its nose and sinks to the floor. And you fall to the floor laughing as you give him back his nose. He laughs with you and pulls you into his side. And you both calm down from it. His dimple looks so pretty, and you can’t help but poke it before you kiss him again. Yeah, you’re definitely going to call him your boyfriend after this.

He asks, as you lay beside him, in his arms, “You want to watch ‘Child’s Play’ next?” You hum, “As long as Rudy and Chucky are ready to watch~” You two look over at your two weird sons who look so happy to be watching the blank tv screen together and you laugh at the cute sight. You decide that’s good enough and you both get back up and settle into the couch as he finds the original movie. He holds your legs over his lap and leans his head against your chest as you both watch the opening. Yeah, maybe it’d be fun to be with him for a long time, maybe even forever.

Changmin (Q) X Reader

[A/n: This is inspired by his 4/4/24 IG post, I saw the aesthetic notepad photo of ‘For as long as I exist, you will always be loved.’ and well it made me cry and think this up. And two hours later, I finished this idea. So enjoy~]

You finally entered dreamland in Changmin’s arms. You drifted endlessly in the clouds until you landed in a new world. It started pleasantly. You were talking with Changmin on the couch, watching a movie. The two of you laugh at something on screen, and he reaches into the popcorn bowl, overtaking your spot. And you pout, pushing his hand, and then the two of you start playfully fighting and giggling at each other until it goes too far. Popcorn ended up all over the place, and soon, you were both screaming and yelling at each other. Both of you jumped up from the couch to make your point heard. But it wasn’t until you both stopped yelling that he venomously said, “I could never love someone like you.” He pushed past you, walking out the door and slamming it behind him without a goodbye.

It hurt you hearing him say that so badly in the dream that your body started reacting. You could feel tears pricking your eyes as your stomach twisted into knots. You wake up with tears streaming down your cheeks. You wipe them away, sniffling, finding Changmin’s arms still wrapped around you. His eyes flutter open as he hears you sniffling. And he rolls you over to look you in your eyes, “Baby, what’s wrong?” You refuse to meet his eyes, tucking your chin in as you tell him, “I had a bad dream.” He brings his hand up from your waist to your cheek and holds it in his hand. “What was it about?” You shake your head as you cry again, “You…” “Huh?” You mumble, “You told me you could never love someone like me…” He gasps, your dream horrifying him. With his arm still under your torso, he brings you closer to him, and you close your eyes tighter, trying to will the dream away. He draws your chin up so you can look him in the eyes. “Baby,...” You finally open your eyes at that, “For as long as I exist, you will always be loved.” He wipes your tears with his thumbs as you whisper, “How can you be so sure?” He gives you a small smile, “I knew it the moment I started dating you.” Your tears slowly stop falling as you ask, “You mean it?” He smiles as he puts his forehead to yours, “I mean it. You never have to worry whether or not I love you for as long as I’m alive.” He pauses before reassuring you, “It was just a bad dream.” You search his eyes, checking that he truly meant it, “I love you so much, Changminnie…” “I love you too, babydoll.”

After whispering to each other for a few more minutes, you roll over again, and he brings you into his chest again. He combs his fingers through your hair until you fall back to sleep. He pulls the blanket tighter over both of you. He gently kisses you on your neck before looking at his nightstand, seeing the concealed ring box he hid from you in plain sight. He drifts to sleep with one last thought, “I promise I’ll always love you.” Nuzzling his face into your neck, his favorite person in existence.
