The soft glow of the cinema marquee bathed Heeseung and Y/N in a warm, inviting light as they approached. Heeseung couldn't help but feel a mixture of excitement and nervousness. This was their first time out together, just the two of them.

As they settled into their seats, Heeseung couldn't help but notice the gentle fragrance of Y/N's perfume, mingling with the subtle scent of buttered popcorn. The anticipation buzzed in the air.

The lights dimmed, and the movie began. Heeseung tried to focus on the screen, but his attention kept wandering to Y/N beside him. Her laughter was a melody that harmonized with the film's soundtrack.

Minutes passed, the plot unfolding on the screen, but Heeseung couldn't shake the awareness of Y/N's presence. It was a mix of comfort and electrifying anticipation. He felt the familiar warmth spread across his cheeks.

Sweat formed on Heeseung's brow. He excused himself, "I'll be right back," he mumbled, his voice betraying a hint of fluster.

In the sanctuary of the bathroom, Heeseung splashed his face with cool water, willing the flush from his cheeks to subside. He stared at his reflection, a mix of disbelief and amusement dancing in his eyes.

Once he felt composed enough, he took a deep breath and returned to the theater. Y/N glanced up, her eyes sparkling with mischief, as if she knew the effect she had on him.

Heeseung settled back into his seat, determined to enjoy the rest of the movie. As the story unfolded, he couldn't help but steal glances at Y/N, his heart pounding in sync with the rhythm of the film.

When the credits rolled, Heeseung turned to Y/N, a shy smile tugging at his lips. "That was amazing," he confessed.

Y/N grinned, her eyes twinkling with delight. "I'm glad you enjoyed it. Maybe next time, we can watch something a bit less distracting," she teased, a playful glint in her eye.

[Chapter 1]

The loud squeaking of the bed next to my room makes me grab my headphones and put them on, rolling my eyes as I do so. The moans and whimpers get louder from the girl as groaning escapes his mouth. I sit up and grab my phone that sits at the end of my bed to blast music into my ears.

“I thought we agreed that we would give each other a heads up at least,” I whisper to myself as I fall back to sleep.

The next morning I hear Heeseung walking into my room which makes me open my eyes.

“Hey cutie,” Heeseung says with a smirk as he looks through my nightstand glancing at me a bit as I wake up.

I sigh before sitting up and rubbing my face. “What the hell are you doing?” I ask. He smiles as he grabs a box and shows it to me, “My plan B?! That is expensive!”

Heeseung leans in and kisses my forehead, “I will pay you back,” He says as he closes my nightstand. “She needs it.”

I simply just nod, understanding that one-night stands are something to be serious about especially with no protection.

I get out of bed and head to my bathroom as Heeseung walks out of my room and closes the door behind him. I look at myself in the mirror, hair messy, basketball shorts and a baggy shirt, eye bags showing. I smile at myself.

My phone goes off and the contact is “<3!” My eyes stare at the screen for a bit, letting it ring before answering.

“Yes, Jay?” says softly.

“Are you coming to the party tonight?” Jay asks. He always throws parties, the biggest ones too. College parties are a lot of drugs, alcohol, and sex. Like, what are you expecting from young adults who finally escaped from their childhood and teen years being controlled the whole time? As well as studying all week and once it hits Friday night, it's all over.

“When do I not go?” I say with a laugh as I start to undress myself.

“You have been getting more scandalous, I am surprised you haven't had a genuine relationship these past three years,” Jay teases yet admitting.

I scoff at his comments. “I simply am just living my life, especially since I'm single-”

“-Are you a player or a fuckgirl?” He cuts me off asking me an interesting question.

“Uhm..” I pause, thinking about it before taking off my panties. “... I think both? I don't care to be honest.”

Something about Jay is that he doesn't have any room to talk if he wants to act like he is either judging me or acting surprised. He is the reason why I am like this.

“Okay babe I'm going to shower,” I say quickly to get the conversation over with because I am standing naked in my cold bathroom.

“Okay, bye.” he hangs up before I could even say bye which causes me to roll my eyes.

After my shower, I am in a thong and an oversized shirt before walking out into the kitchen and seeing Heeseung eating food, on his phone.

“What are you wearing for Jay's party?” I question while I start gathering my food.

Heeseung and I have been friends since we were eight and now we are living together, in college. Girls and boys are all over him 24/7 and he loves all of it, understandably so. Then I am in the same boat as him, girls and boys are all over me as well. He and I are considered players or fuckboy/girls and either way, neither of us cares. We both do amazing in school and we are in important extracurricular activities. The weekends are our breaks, what do you expect? The other night was the first time Heeseung brought a girl over during the weekday. He and I have rules:

Only bring people over weekends, Sunday nights are allowed.

We help each other with protection in any scenario.

If one of us is in trouble and we are busy, we stop being busy and help the other.

Light touches between us have been a thing for 10+ years so it's not a big deal. 

No hooking up with each other.

Listen to each properly.

Respect each other's wishes.

“No shit,” He says with his mouth full of food making me roll my eyes as I sit at the table next to him.

“I was just asking,” He continues to shove his mouth with food. “Dude breathe-”

“Done!” He says proudly, shooting his arms up as I look at him disgusted by what he just did. “What?” He says as his arms go down slowly, my eyes scan him, he is wearing a black shirt and black sweats.

“You are such a boy,” I comment before drinking the rest of my water. “What are you wearing tonight?”

“Black tanktop with a short button up over and jeans like usual. It is easier to take off when I am in the room,”

“I get the apartment tonight because you brought someone over the week day,” I say immediately after. He groans then stays silent, you can easily read in his mind that he is thinking about what I said. He knows that he broke a rule. His punishment is me getting the apartment for the weekend nights.

He suddenly stops thinking and looks at me with a smirk before leaning into his chair. His cocky side is showing.

I tilt my head to the right a bit, curious about what is going through is chaotic mind. He is actions are predictable. His thoughts are the complete opposite. He motto is ‘Expect the unexpected.’ because that is the definition of him.

“Okay, what if I get you a new pen?” He asks me simply.

“. . . Go on,”

“I get you a new pen and you let me have someone-”

“No,” I cut him off immediately.

“Hear me out-”

“No. Heeseung.” I say sternly to him, “Why did you think that’d work?”

Heeseung and I are both stoners and alcoholics. It's terrible.

“Because your pen got stolen,” He says and leans forward on the table as I stand up, looking down at him, noticing his eyes scan my thighs before looking at me softly.

“Nice try, babe,” I say and walk to my room, feeling his eyes lingering on me making me simply ignore him.

TikTok is FUMING over Jinx right now. A lot of people are dropping it and I don’t blame them, Jae is only gonna go downhill from here. I hope you don’t mind the really long ask cause I just have so many thoughts and no one to share with. I could write a thesis on Joo Jaekyung.

Honestly I had a whole interpretation of Jaekyung’s character and chapter 34 straight up changed that. He did two things I thought he would never do:

1) He aggressively put his hands on Heesung and directly threatened him with violence TWICE in the same chapter. I don’t think people realize how serious that is. He’s on equal footing with Heesung. They’re both celebrities. Both public figures. And for Jae, a fighter, an athlete, a scandal involving physical violence towards Heesung would literally RUIN his career. All this time I was thinking “Yeah, he’d never take his anger out on Heesung because they’re equals, Heesung’s got money and power. Dan is the weakest one in the situation so Jae will take it out on him” so look at me being a clown 🤡

2) He lied to Dan. For the first time in 34 chapters, he straight up manipulated him. Not tricked him. He directly intervened with his appointment with Heesung by lying, saying Heesung cancelled. It wasn’t even a GOOD lie!!! It was a half-assed, he didn’t even try to sound believable (because yes, Dan, you’re right, it makes NO sense for Heesung to contact Jae instead of you). But poor Dan believed him. My point is: I never took Jae for a liar, or even a manipulator. He was always either petty or very upfront about everything, so that shocked me. Which makes me believe now that Jae never lied to Dan until now because he never had to before. He always had full control of Dan as is, but the littlest threat to that hold on Dan made him do all that.

Ironic how half the fandom (me included) believed Heesung to be a conniving snake but turns out Jae’s the one who fits that description. In my mind, he was always a straight forward, violent douche. What you see is what you get kinda thing. And Heesung would be the “two-faced” douche to counter him. But Jae’s proven to be a lot more dangerous and sneaky ever since Heesung appeared. I guess this is the first chapter that legit has me thinking about how scary Jae is, not just because he’s violent, but because he’s shown he can be manipulative as well.

I am a dark-content enjoyer. Nearly all my ships are fucked up, toxic or abusive. I went into Jinx knowing that it will have some skeevy stuff. However, i think this is actually the worst thing Jae has done so far. Yes, even worste than the sexual coercion. Because, as you said, until now he has been honest with Dan, and hasn't been withholding information (that we know of). He tells Dan when he wants to have sex, he tells him what he expects from him, he tells him how he feels about what they are doing. And Dan goes along with it, because as he thinks to himself, if he knows what is going to happen, if it is just this or that, then he can manage. But this "base of trust" has been completely ruined with chapter 34, when Jae does that stunt right in front of Heesung without Dan being aware.

I swear, my stomach dropped when i first saw that reveal, thinking for a hot second that he might let Heesung have his turn on Dan as well, without him even realizing.

That said, I never really got red flags from Heesung, and I honestly hope that he will reveal to Dan sooner rather than later what Jae has done. But for now, of course, we have to keep in mind that Jae has no problem getting phsyical, as well as the fact that he will lie, and manipulate and withhold knowledge without even batting an eye. So yeah, Jae is a manipulator, and a liar and just honest to God dangerous - curious to see how things will evolve from here.
