Luan: “I honestly can’t believe you people.”

Luan: *points at Helena* “Ana is lying about something she won’t let me tell you about—“

Luan: *points to Soledad* “She’s definitely lying about something, but I have no idea what it is—“

Luan: *points to Pietro* “And you’re lying to Daisy about being her secret admirer! How can you people live like this? I’ve been here for 24 hours and I feel like I’m on Gossip Girl! Are there any other earth-shattering secrets I should know about? How can you lie like that to people you love??”

Pietro: “Look, I want to tell Daisy, but every time I try, I lose my nerve.”

Luan: “Coward.”

Luan: *finds out that he and Pixie hate each other in the game world*

Pietro: “So, did you tell Pixie who you were?”

Luan: “…”

Pietro:

Even more respect to Luan for when he found out that Helena is Bia’s sister and has been keeping it a secret that she’s alive for ten years, his response is “GIRL WHY? THIS IS RIDICULOUS??” and he sticks to his guns on that point

Daisy was going to finally tell Pietro that she knew he was his secret admirer, but then she saw a video of him kissing another girl (long story, not all that interesting—he was friends with a girl and she liked him and he had no idea, and then she kissed him and he was like “UMM WHAT???” and then that was that), and so she gets angry with him. He is very confused, goes to talk to Luan about it, and the inevitable happens: Luan snaps. The guy freaking snaps. Pietro was like “she saw a video of me kissing Delfi and she was mad?? Like why would she be mad???” And Luan was like “….yeah okay, I can’t take this anymore” and just told him everything. As he should at this point—this guy has the patience of a saint. He’s hanging out with people who are like:

Helena: “I like Thiago, but obviously I can’t tell him that because that ship has sailed!” *keeps dropping very obvious hints that she likes him*

Thiago: “No, Helena doesn’t like me—she made it very clear that she just wants to be friends.” *keeps ignoring the very obvious hints that she likes him*

Daisy: “Why would my secret admirer be my closest friend who obviously cares for me very deeply and who knows me better than anyone else? That’s ridiculous!”

Pietro: “Why would the girl I like be mad that she saw me kissing another girl? I don’t get it.”

Luan:

Luan in the corner, watching Thiago and Helena interact: 👀

Thiago: *leaves*

Luan: “You like him.”

Helena: “What?? Who told you???”

Luan: “Your face ten seconds ago???”

Helena: “Oh no, am I that obvious?”

Luan: “Yes, yes you are. Now are you going to tell him?”

Helena: “No, I can’t—I think that ship sailed already, and I really don’t want to ruin our friendship.”

Luan:

Luan: “If you’ll excuse me for a second.” *leaves the room*

Helena: “???”

*muffled screaming comes from the other room*

Daisy realized that she was in love with Pietro, and adorably the moment she realized was when she saw Pietro in the kitchen singing and goofing off while tossing pizza dough. There is a lot of silly unnecessary cringy nonsense in this show, but I had no notes for that scene, I 100% approved. This is quickly followed by a scene where Daisy tries to tell him (in a very similar fashion to the scenes where he has tries to tell her), but can’t work up the courage.

After trying to apologize many many times, Luan finally got through to Pixie by dropping out completely of a video game tournament they were both entering—admittedly it kind of fell into the typical trope of the genre where characters have the same argument five million times (which this show does suffer from quite a bit), but in this case it kind of worked, as it was clear that he was getting through to her little by little every time. Still not perfectly executed, but both the characters and the actors playing them have so much chemistry that I am willing to forgive many ills. And then there was this scene where he was playing guitar on the balcony and she came out and started singing with him and then he caught her by surprise and kissed her and I was just sitting there like

At the Residence:

Thiago: *shoveling chocolate ice cream into his mouth* “Soledad left me and I don’t know why…”

Helena: “I’m so sorry…” *silently pining*

Manuel: *pacing the floor* “My dad is alive???”

Bia: *busts down the front door* “Can I please stay here? Please? My parents won’t let me see Manuel and they won’t listen to my point of view and I just cannot STAND being around them anymore.”

Daisy: *trying to work up the courage to confess her feelings* “Um…Pietro? I need to talk to you about something…important…” *chickens out* “What are we having for dinner?”

Pietro: *muttering to himself* “I have this all-consuming belief that everything I’ll try to do will go up in flames and every time I want to do something important I commit a heinous act of self-sabotage just because of my own insecurities, but being aware of my own insecurities isn’t helping, I can’t stop listening to that voice in my head that says I’m going to fail—“

Luan, sitting on the couch and FaceTiming Pixie: *mouths* “help”

The thing is, up until this point, both Luan and Pixie individually have been bothering Daisy about Pietro and telling her that she needs to tell him how she feels, but now that they’re together and In Cahoots it would be so fantastic if they decide to double team and show up at Daisy’s door like

Luan found out that he and Pixie were each other’s mortal enemy in the gaming world and was absolutely distraught, tried to tell Pixie, but then she kissed him and it was SO DANG CUTE (so so so much joy they were absolutely beaming, it was enough to bring a grown woman to tears) and so of course he couldn’t bring himself to tell her, and then of course she overhears him talking about it and is absolutely furious. It was a really silly argument, but the guy playing Luan plays Heartbroken Lover Boy so well I was DISTRAUGHT. And so is he, lol. (And Pixie is more mad about him lying about it than the actual gaming thing, especially because she has major trust issues—especially because she thinks he was lying about it since they first met and was just using her or something—so I guess it isn’t quite as blown out of proportion as it seems. But still very silly, lol.)

Pietro had finally worked up the courage to tell Daisy that he was her secret admirer, when she said that she’s worrying about the whole secret admirer thing too much and that she thinks that she’s better of single. So he obviously didn’t tell her. Yowch. This poor guy. And then Daisy finally figured out it was Pietro after some not-so-subtle prompting from her exasperated friends (which, by the way, I was right, quite literally everyone else knew before she did). She is in absolute shock, she now can’t figure out how to act around Pietro, it’s unclear how she feels about him at the moment, and he of course probably will never tell her anything now unless she does something. It’s chaos around here.

There’s this great scene after Luan tries to tell Pixie about the gamer thing and Pietro tries to tell Daisy about the secret admirer thing where the scene opens with both of them just sitting in the kitchen staring off into space in acute emotional distress that was unintentionally the funniest scene in this entire show
