Hello and welcome back to day two of Comedy Walk! Walk! I wasnt able to find a postable clip of the episode I listened to today, so I posted a clip of Aziz Ansari (one of todays featured guests) from the Comedy Bang! Bang! Another walk, another episode of Comedy Death Ray radio on indie 103.1. Todays guests were Aziz Ansari (Parks & Rec) and Kevin Nealon (SNL) as well as Doug Benson who makes his second appearance for another segment of “Doug Loves Movies”

This episode started with their more commonly known theme song performed by Reggie Watts, however I believe at this point in the series the song hadn’t yet been written, so after Scott read his intro, he played a song by Greg Beherents band, The Reigning Monarchs (which I will list below) the show still heavily features music like a regular radio show, however it seems as if the songs have all been cut or edited down now that the episodes have been rereleased as part of the Comedy Bang! Bang! series. They also mentioned that the show was being video taped and broadcast on G4 (but I couldn’t find any clips)

Todays episode was much shorter than yesterdays, Aziz was the cohost and Kevin was there promoting Aliens in the Attic, as well as a book he just wrote called “Yeah you’re pregnant, but what about me?” They also took a live caller who just wanted to know what the lineup was for that weeks Comedy Death Ray live show. After the call they read a few twitter questions like “Do you smoke weed?” And “How can I protect my home from the incoming zombie pig apocalypse?” Neither of which gained much traction as conversation starters. At the end of the show they get a call from Doug Benson who gives them his review of the new Star Trek movie, which he says was enjoyable even though he only stayed for the first 40 minutes before leaving. His three word review of the film was “Tyler Fucking Perry!” To finish things off Scott says Happy Birthday to Kulap his Comedy Death Ray partner BJ Porter.

As far as the walk goes, I did notice I was walking much quicker than I did yesterday, it didn’t take me as long to get to the park as it did the day before. I remembered to count my laps today, I did 4 laps around the park before heading back home on the opposite side of the neighborhood. The weather was fantastic, I didn’t even wear a sweatshirt. The park was packed with people though, not enough to deter me but uncomfortable nonetheless. I also noticed that part of the circle in the park is on an incline so I guess that’s like a bonus?

My stats weren’t as impressive today as they were yesterday, but I’m not looking to top any scores or anything, so that’s ok. The walk ended up being shorter just because todays episode was shorter in length. I ended up doing 4947 steps and 2.14 miles in just under an hour.

Overall the walk was easier, but the episode wasn’t as fun as I was hoping. Either way I enjoyed both. Episode 2/walk 2 gets a 3 out of 5.

OMG you writing MadaTobi?!! Iii may not survive this

i committed the mistake of glancing at blackkat’s naruto fics a month back and have been binge-reading madatobi fic like a possessed woman ever since. (MARRIAGE HUNTS?????) went through the whole tag from highest kudosed on to lowest and now i’m doing it again, only i’m also looking at the WIPs and the normal/modern AUs.

mind, this is the only fic idea i’ve had and i’m probably not gonna finish it or even write enough to make it postable, because now it wants to develop into a slow burn romance (they kinda fuck in the first chapter but it’s emergency i-still-hate-you stuff) that’ll go through like several years and no. N and also O.

(weirdassed trends that are everywhere but idk where they’re even from : senju touka is a rough, butch woman with a naginata/spear/long and pointy thing (v good trend tho, even though the ONE thing we know about her from the databook is she’s a genjutsu specialist but ok XD) and madara likes to chuck izuna into the koi pond when he’s being a brat. it’s kinda amazing how consistent izuna and touka are being written when as far as i can recall touka had exactly one silent panel of screentime in the whole manga and izuna mostly just spewed hate on his deathbed the one time while looking like duck-lipping sasuke. i have seen people apologizing for not writing touka IC enough?? fanon is a powerful thing.)

I don’t know if this is helpful feedback re: creating and posting stresses but - I think if you’ve been needing to take a break from updating? Do it.

Like.... Admittedly I’m sort of on the other end of the spectrum with this, but I tend to create privately, especially with writing, and only share it publicly when I have a lot to share, because that’s when it feels worth sharing openly for me, when it’s worth the editing and formatting and whatnot (and there’s my own personal motivations on why I do it that way but)... and the nice thing about this is? It helps me set my own pace, and once I’ve created it? It’s always there for me to choose to share later, if and only when I have the energy and ability to.

On a couple occasions I’ve shared wips or snippets on sideblogs, and gotten responses. And usually I regret doing that. Because if I don’t actually have the ability to pick it up and continue it, and people responded to it and have expectations, that becomes a pressure I don’t need. It becomes a one-sided obligation. And I don’t know that that’s exactly what your core struggle is right now but... Until you sort things out better and come to terms with what you actually want or need to do? You don’t need to have that pressure hanging over your head.

Take a break from updating. If you step away, you can breathe and hopefully get some space from that negative feedback, and when you’re in a better mental space you can come back anytime. Everyone will welcome you back. And anyone who would complain about you taking a break will hopefully just leave and take their entitled attitudes elsewhere. If you want to permanently stop updating? That’s ok too. Just remember it doesn’t have to be, either.

yeah I mean in a way i did/am taking a small break. I used to update my fic weekly to bi weekly then stopped for health reasons but then the mental stuff on top lead to where I currently am.

I actually don't post everything I do despite how much I post, I post the stuff I find postable enough but like I've got doodles unposted, fics unposted, so many WIPS, Aus that haven't even been MENTIONED on the blog let alone shown anything for

I think last night just also boiled down to a bad night and then fear TM over the new fic going out and then everything broiling over.

I don't think I could bring myself to permanently stop. That's what makes this such a squirmy position for me is I LOVE TO SHARE I love sharing my stories and ideas but then this gnaws at me and I end up having a breakdown last night.

I'm gonna try to keep posting and trying to just not think about it but sometimes it's hard and watching my friends have similar issues.

The other issue is I really need to not compare to others in my life *sighs* like I look at a few friends and think "what am I doing wrong/differently is my content just bad" etc and I know it's the worst mindset.
