ANYWAYS to answer your question... a lot

I still need to come up with a name for her but essentially the witch/captor is a middle-aged/older woman who is insanely rich and posh. She's a semi-humanoid species, much like Reader, but she was never human. I haven't decided exactly what her design looks like but I know I want it to be pseudohuman to parallel Reader.

You'll come to learn that I have yet to develop her solidly LMAO bc a lot of this stuff is just vague ideas but essentially my biggest idea for her rn is that she might have lost someone when she was younger, someone special to her. In her grief, she tried to find any way of getting them back or avenging them, and eventually found herself worshipping Golb. I'm a biiiit iffy to go with this story only because there is a canonical character like this in the show already, but I think I can make it work. They're very different characters personality-wise and motivation-wise by the end of their arcs.

Over time, she becomes more enamored with the Power that Golb can bring her rather than actually trying to make peace with her loved one. She gets deeper into studying chaos magic and worshipping Golb and performing magical rituals. By the time she's in the modern year, she's built up a pretty good wealth and reputation for herself, especially among the new humans who have recently moved back to the mainland after ~1000 years. She has like this weird longing to be a human so she surrounds herself with them by inviting them to fancy dinners and balls, though really they just kind of view her as another weird denizen of modern Ooo.

Eventually, she finds out about Reader existing and realizes that they are a beast of legend, a Golbeast, and she decides that she needs to capture and tame them like an exotic pet. After all, her god would want her to care for his blessed creature, right?

Essentially, she started out with an actual mission but became corrupted by power and insecurity, and now she is actually more unhinged than anything else.
