14. “Well the probability of that is 0, but you go ahead.”

perhaps watching a horror movie right before bed wasn't the best idea. granted you weren't even much of a fan of horror movies, but yoongi was and it was his turn to pick the movie for movie night so, here you were.

after the movie ended, you clung onto yoogni's sleeve as you walked through the house in the dark, your head snapping at any direction you saw movement in. he chuckled at your actions as he led you back towards your shared bedroom, where you all but jumped across the room onto the bed.

"did you really have to jump?"

"not risking it." you said, folding your arms over your chest. the lights didn't have to be on for you to know that yoongi was rolling his eyes at you.

"alright then." he huffed as he made his way over to his side of the bed, pulling back the covers to join you in bed. once beside you, you snuggled right up nex to him, snaking your arms around his torso to keep him close and as a slight protection from any sort of shadow demons that may lurk in the corners of the room (you were planning on sacraficing him to them if it came to that).

yoongi fell asleep in no time, leaving you alone in the dark, with no company but your own racing thoughts. your eyes darted to every corner of the room, scared that something might just pop out. there was no way you were going to be able to relax enough to fall asleep, not in the dark.

"yoongi," you whispered, poking at his chest. he continued sleeping. "yoongi!" you repeated, a bit louder this time.

"what?" he groaned, his eyes glassy from being woken up.

"can i go get the nightlight from the bathroom and use it in here in case any demons come to consume our souls while we sleep?" you asked.

yoongi slowly blinked at you. "well the probability of that is 0, but you go ahead, i guess." he sighed as he shut his eyes.

"probability is never 0, you should know that, you math wizard." you muttered as you grabbed your phone, using it as a flash light to light your way to the bathroom. taking the light from the outlet, you rushed back to the bedroom. shoving it into the plug in the corner of the room, it gave a small amount of illumination. just enough to ease your worries about the demons.

rejoining your boyfriend in bed, again you wrapped your arms around him again, resting your head on his chest. "night yoongi."

Don't Go Just Yet

"Don't leave me just yet." a crying boy whispered.

Park Jimin sat at the side of a hospital bed, holding the hand of his soulmate. It took all of Jimin's dainty to grabs his friend's long calloused ones.

The rest of the boys had left a while ago, not being able to see their brother go. Jimin had never seen Yoongi cry as much as he did when Namjoon and Jin forced him to leave the room for the last time—seeing his younger brother for the last time.

Jungkook was no better, probably doing worse than Jimin right now. Jimin thought they would finally get over their pining and get together but they wouldn't get the chance now.

Jimin looked at his friend's calm face and choked back another sob. Taehyung was pale, too pale for his beautiful golden skin. His hair was unkempt and greasy from being in a bed for too long. His cheeks hallow from losing weight. He did not look like the Taehyung everyone knew and loved, but he was still their brother, best friend, soulmate, lover.

His family had left as well, signing the papers that prevented the doctors from resuscitating him if his heart stopped. They couldn't bear seeing their love leaving them.

Jimin was the only one who stayed. He couldn't leave. How could he? Even though he hated seeing Taehyung like this. He didn't want his soulmate to be alone for as long as he lived.

Even if that was only for a few more hours.

Jimin couldn't fall asleep even though his eyes burned and his head screamed for a break. He would never forgive himself if he was asleep when it happened.

Jimin had screamed, cried, thrown a chair when the doctors told him and the rest of the boys there was nothing else they could do to help Taehyung; only he could get out of the coma himself. Namjoon had to drag him outside to calm him down. He wouldn't have been allowed back in if he kept causing a scene. That was two months ago.

But now he just sat, feeling dejected and empty, counting every second he got to spend with his best friend.

Jimin sighed, tightening his grip on the other's hands, "Please, please. Don't leave me yet," he begged in a whisper.

"I cannot do this without you. You are my soulmate. It doesn't make sense for me to go on without you by my side."

Jimin closed his eyes and dropped his head on Taehyung, the small rise and fall of his chest brought him some small comfort.

Jimin did not know how much time passed with him leaning on Taehyung. His mind continued to beg for sleep, and he couldn't help but let it happen.

Long fingers carded through Jimin's soft locks, stirring the blonde from his sleep. Blinking slowly, he brought his face up to look at whoever came back to visit.

What he was not expecting was to see two big brown mismatched eyes looking back at him.

Waking up more, Jimin shot up in his seat. "Taehyung?!"

The brunet let out a broken chuckle, "Hey, Jiminie."

Jimin's face crumpled with a fresh wave of tears as he launched himself at his soulmate, mumbling incoherently about thanking god or whoever could hear him.

Taehyung sat there still weak, managing to still play with the blond's locks, and let Jimin cry,

"it's okay Jiminie, I couldn't go just yet," he whispered against the wall of loud sobs.

Everything would be okay as long as they were together.
