I miss the bands that could actually play their instruments. Practice. Thousands and thousands of hours. Now they fix it with auto tune or with elastic audio. Almost every "Anime" and "Team Fortress 2" reference on Tumblr is completely lost on me, I'm sorry to admit.  Never played TFT and have only seen snippets of ANY anime.  Everything I know of Anime is from posts on social media and a small amount from internet friends.  I'm just stating the facts.  If I had the time and total lack of responsibility for keeping a roof over my family's heads, I sit and watch anime stuff every morning starting with Akira or whatever and then in the afternoons, I'd play TFT, and a hundred other multiplayer games,  just so I could relate a bit better. But then I remember, I have to make a living and suck at multitasking and go back to work.

Things that make me sad, part 1

"I only use WhatsApp to communicate and send pics these days," said Natalie West, a twentysomething financial sales associate in London. In the last few years she has used Facebook less and less because she doesn't want "the whole world to know" what she's doing. When people set up events and get-togethers on Facebook, West and her boyfriend tend to reply on WhatsApp instead because "it's more personal".

Clearly not as 'with it' as I thought I was

I concede the fact that I'm growing older. I'm not as cool as i used to be, and little asian kids have started calling me 'uncle'. It is depressing to say the least. Despite this, I was pretty sure that I was still in touch with social media and technology and all that malarchy. So i went on a journey...having successfully mastered facebook it was time for a twitter offensive. Initially times were hard and they're still not as good as I had predicted, but I get the hang of it now. I'm comfortably managing over five accounts and finding content for all of them. 

Next on my to-do list was tumblr. I don't get it. I just don't get it. It's a strange place. You're apparently expected to know how to edit HTML codes and what not and it seems really complex to set up. I think I've managed to figure it out but only once I press 'Create post' will I know if I've successfully done what I hoped I'd do. 

The reason I've made this tumblr account is because I wanted to start blogging again and apparently this is the platform all the kids use to blog these days - though it seems that they just repost pictures that other people put online...very original kiddos, very original indeed. 

I've missed writing. It's always been a passion of mine and when I go a few weeks/months without doing it, I start getting that itch, the one that induced an essay of a facebook status about sudoku or a recent dream - essentially tripe. 

The social sphere is an amazing place and if I'm not mistaken, this should post a link straight to my twitter account too. I love how people take for granted how ridiculously integrated everything is and how years ago we could only dream of such shenanigans.
