27 giugno: Lagos-Armaçao de Pera - Albufeira - Olhao

Oggi lasciamo la nostra sistemazione a Porches per traslocare in quella di Olhao. Nel tragitto facciamo tappa ad Armaçao de Pera, Albufeira e Praia de Falesia, davvero splendida. Riguardo alle due località viste, Armaçao ci è piaciuta, è ancora sufficientemente tranquilla, mentre Albuferia è una bolgia di turisti e negozi di souvenir. Ci siamo fermati solo il tempo di un boccone ed un’ottima birra ghiacciata da Eddys. Giunti ad Olhao abbiamo finalmente trovato lo spirito dell’Algarve che cercavamo. È un piacere passeggiare per i vicoletti della parte antica e respirare quell’atmosfera vagamente nordafricana. Abbiamo anche mangiato la nostra prima, deliziosa cataplana da Prazeres, su consiglio del nostro ospite. Davvero squisita.

We love Republica 14, especially when the entertainment is Roda de Samba. Translates as a Samba Wheel, or, a circle of fine musicians sitting around a table entertaining an already on-side audience whilst clearly having a whale of a time enjoying themselves too.

Huppes fasciées portugaises !

Perchoir tout trouvé pour la Huppe fasciée (et le photographe !) au cours d’une promenade dans le parc naturel Quinta de Marim, à Olhao – Portugal. “Woupwoupwoup”, chant bien reconnaissable de cet oiseau remarquable du genre Upupa. Nous y sommes allés deux fois, rien que pour le plaisir de marcher dans une zone préservée de la côte. Nous y avons cherché le caméléon sans le trouver : il était…

Vorgestern sind wir in Portugal angekommen. Nach einer Nacht in der Natur kurz hinter der Grenze ging es gestern nach Faro Anne und Ann Sophie abholen. Vorher ging es noch an den leeren, ewig langen und wunderschön- wilden Strand von Faro. Wir haben eine tolle Wohnung mitten in Estoi mit einer genialen Dachterrasse, auf der wir uns heute nach einem ausgiebigen Frühstück alle mehr oder weniger Farbe in unterschiedlichen Nuancen geholt haben.

Am Nachmittag ging es nach Olhao in die Altstadt ein bisschen bummeln.
