Episode 04

"Hearts Looking For Love"

It took me a while, but here I am again. I don't have anything new to comment on about the episode, just to say that of all the routes I play, my favorite conversation about romance was the one with Thomas. And by the way, the motorcycle ride came sooner than I expected. But that's not a complaint.

Like everyone else, I think, I was a bit disappointed with Jason's route in this episode. I mean, it was cool to hear the things he mentioned about relationships, about, for some mysterious reason, not being able to date someone seriously and all that. It left me curious, and I'm eager to find out the reason behind it. But that said, the picture moment was kind of... Meh. So, I decided to edit Amanda's picture, just like @kaumalade and @candysweetposts did. The context is completely different for my girl who, for now, is facing a mental battle to decide if she will open up to love again or not.

And about Roy, I don't have much more to say than what I said in my last post. Just one consideration: Have you noticed that in all his pictures so far, New Candy always has her mouth open?

Anyway, here are my headcanons for the episode:

Olivia, who is a sensitive person, was very shaken by all the recent events. From the kiss on the cheek she received from Roy during the game of truth or dare to the extremely cold breakup between Brune and Roy. She feels a bit guilty for being so relieved at how things ended. But overall, she tries not to think about it too much. It might be early, but she never denied that Roy affected her. She never had a serious relationship, and he seems different from the guys she has known.

There are no significant changes from the episode to how I imagine my headcanon of Colette. The only thing I altered is that since she and Thomas have been close acquaintances for some time, this wasn't the first time she rode on the back of his motorcycle. The conversation resonates with the same beats because it's very much in their nature, as Colette has a platonic crush but doesn't want to say anything too directly about it because she's afraid of his reaction. Still, it was a pleasure to know what he thinks about the subject. And since it was Thomas himself who brought up the topic, she couldn't help but feel a bit hopeful that things might develop in the future. She has had flings in the past, but they were never relationships that lasted long.

With Meredith, things happen quite differently. At Goldreamz, some employees started drooling over Jason's Instagram photos, which, by the way, Meredith herself manages and maintains. She overheard their passionate and platonic conversation and called them out to get back to work and stop gossiping. However, the conversation stayed on her mind for the rest of the day. As I mentioned before, the whole thing with Ioan happened to her, even though it was four years ago. She's in a tight spot. She doesn't want to make the same mistakes, and her heart is still hurting. The mourning period is always different for everyone. And her situation with Jason is complicated. He always teases her, she doesn’t hide that she likes it sometimes, though she’ll never admit it. But being his assistant, she knows the ins and outs of his life and understands it would be a real soap opera if she started to seriously invest in it. At night, leaving work, she takes a taxi home and, scrolling through her problematic boss's Instagram profile, admiring some photos, she reflects on the whole situation. An insecure expression. She is afraid of how things will unfold in the future.

I’M HERE, I’M THERE, I’M EVERYWHERE | LUKE HUGHES

synopsis: in which capitol mentor luke hughes, falls inlove with his tribute, yn dubois.

author’s note: in honor of the ballad of the songbirds coming out in the next 2 weeks and olivia’s amazing song, here is my favorite person (lukey warren hughes) in one of my favorite fictional books ever, the hunger games! this was so fun to write, and as always, enjoy <3

It was in the early years of the Hunger Games, where students at the academy in the Capitol were still allowed to train the incoming tributes from the district. Luke Hughes, a teenage boy who had been born and raised in the Capitol had finally achieved his lifelong dream; to mentor the awaiting tributes for the 6th Annual Hunger Games.

His best friend, Kelsey Ivies, shared his excitement, for they had both aspired to this role since they were kids. In their eyes, the Hunger Games were necessary, a punishment for the districts that had once rebelled, which had resulted in not only the loss of many lives in the District, but also in the Capitol. Luke’s grandfather was one of the victims, and he remembered how his father used to tell him when he was younger.

He hated the districts, they were like salt to a wound.

Luke's heart raced as he stepped into the training center, knowing that he was about to meet the tribute he'd be responsible for, a girl from District 2. His breath hitched as he laid eyes on her for the first time, shocked by her beauty.

“I’m Luke,” he says, placing out a hand for her to exchange. He’d never seen a district girl in his life, and it gave him a sense of adrenaline.

“I’m Y/N,” she says, her eyes felt like they were piercing through Luke’s insides. “Y/N Dubois from District 2.”

Over the weeks leading up to the Games, Luke and Y/N spent countless hours together, training and getting to know each other. He taught her how to differentiate berries, for some of them were poisonous in the arena. He had rewatched every single hunger games leading up to the one now, for he wanted to be the best mentor in his academy. He wanted to make his father proud, so that meant he had to make sure Y/N would come out the winner.

While they were practicing Y/N's swimming skills in a secluded lake, she playfully extended her arm out to him.

“Hey Luke,” she says, her smile loosely hanging on her lips.

He quirked his eyebrows, but nonetheless held her hand. He liked how it felt, anyway.

Suddenly, the girl yanked him into the water, making him let out a shriek of surprise, causing her to laugh hysterically. For the first time, Luke was able to see Y/N not as a tribute, but as a girl who he was falling in love with.

The following night, Luke managed to sneak Y/N out from the tribute cages, holding her hand tightly as the both tried not to giggle to loudly. The sky was clear and starry, and the two found themselves on the rooftop of a building, laying side by side. Luke’s hand brushed against Y/N’s as they gazed up at the night sky, away from the chaos and expectations that weighed on both of their shoulders. The stars above seemed to twinkle knowingly, as if they held secrets of their own.

Luke, who was normally reserved and didn’t talk much about his personal life, decided to open up to Y/N. If she were to die in the games anyways, it wouldn’t matter what she knew. His voice trembled as he spoke, "Y/N, there's something I've never told anyone before." He took a deep breath, gathering his thoughts. "My father, he's always expected me to be the best mentor, to uphold the Capitol's values and ideals. But it's suffocating, you know? The pressure, the constant scrutiny. He made me feel like I was never enough."

Y/N turned to him, her eyes filled with understanding and empathy. She took his hand, giving it a gentle squeeze. "I can imagine how tough that must be, Luke."

Tears welled up in Luke's eyes as he continued, "I've always felt like I was living in his shadow. But being here with you, it's the first time I've felt like I could be myself. I don't have to pretend, and I don't have to meet anyone's expectations. For the first time, I feel free."

Y/N smiled warmly and leaned her head on Luke's shoulder. "I love you Luke."

He knew he couldn’t say it back, he couldn’t. He was from the Capitol, and she was merely a tribute. He could feel her stiffen beside him when she’s responded back with silence. He only wrapped his arm around her frame, pulling her in.

As the Games drew nearer, Kelsey noticed how Luke had become increasingly anxious and distraught.

She scoffed. “What, don’t tell me you’re falling inlove with her?”

Luke’s lips form a thin line, “why does it matter Kels?”

“Because it’s pathetic Luke.” The brunette girl laughs. “I mean, cmon, a mentor falling inlove with his tribute?”

Luke didn’t expect for his best friend to be so outright bitchy. “What game are you playing at Kelsey?” He grunts out.

“Nothing,” Kelsey shrugs. “But you’re playing a dangerous game here, Hughes.”

However, the unexpected had happened. A rebellion began to form among the tributes a day before the games were set to start.

Luke panicked, his eyes moving in a fast motion as he searched for the one person that mattered. Y/N, his Y/N.

He was shocked to find her in the crowd, along with the other rebelling tributes. When the peacekeepers start firing, Y/N, filled with fear and anger, made a run into the nearby woods, and Luke, driven by an need to go after her, followed.

Unbeknownst to Luke, Kelsey had watched this with her calculated eyes. Positioning a peacekeeper gun around her shoulders, she made her way into the woods after the pair.

When they caught up to Y/N, Luke was overwhelmed with emotions. "Y/N, you weren't supposed to rebel," he said with a mixture of anger and desperation.

Y/N, eyes bloodshot, stood baffled, looking him in the eyes. "The Games are evil, Luke. Evil. And you’ve just been brainwashed into thinking they're necessary.”

Kelsey, who had been lurking behind them, saw an opportunity waiting to be used. She sneered and positioned the gun in her hand, ready to put an end to the rebellion and silence the tribute that had been bringing her annoyance since her arrival at the Capitol. But before she could pull the trigger, a idea flashed in her mind. She thrust the gun into Luke's trembling hands, knowing this was going to make it all more satisfying.

"Shoot her, Luke," Kelsey hissed. "Or I'll rat you out for treason, and you’ll die with her.”

Luke was trapped. He felt like he couldn’t move, and his heart ached as he stared at Y/N, the girl he had come to love despite everything he had once stood for. With tears in his eyes, he reluctantly obeyed Kelsey's command and aimed the gun at Y/N.

Her eyes, now falling with tears had practically begged silently with his to not do it.

“Luke, Luke.” Y/N begs, “what happened to our swimming practices? Don’t you remember what you said to me that one night on the roof? Did it mean nothing, Luke?”

Tears streamed down Luke's face as his hands shook with the gun in them.

Kelsey puffs in annoyance, elbowing Luke harshly on the side. “Well? Are you gonna do it? Or do I have to shoot both of you?”

Luke closed his eyes as he pulled the trigger, and he watched the girl he once loved crumble to the floor, eyes that leaked tears earlier now remain lifeless.

She’s dead, and it was all his fault.

Luke suddenly woke up in a cold sweat, his body shoot up his bed.

He had been experiencing the same dreams of him shooting Y/N, only each time, it showed a new detail, one that struck every corner of his heart.

“Are you okay?” Luke’s mom had awoken from a loud sound in Luke’s room. She placed her hand on his forehead and frowned. “What happened?”

“I’m fine..” he says, although it seemed like he was reassuring himself more than he was her.

“You can’t bottle up your feelings forever.” She sighs, but she leaves him alone, thankfully.

He swears he sees her everywhere. In his dreams, in random people he sees at his academy. She’s everywhere, even in the meadow grass, or in the corner of his eyes.

Her face of betrayal never leaves Luke’s mind, staying ingrained like a portrait.

Years have passed since everything had occurred, and although Luke’s heart felt like it was ripped in two, he forced the memory of Y/N into the deepest parts of his brain, wanting to erase every memory of her.

He ended up marrying Kelsey, whom he had 2 kids with. Two boys named Hermes and Lucretius.

One evening as the family gathered to watch the latest Games on their holographic screens, Hermes and Lucretius were jumping in their seats with excitement.

“Mama! One day, me and Hermes will get to mentor a tribute too, right?” Lucretius says excitedly, holding onto Kelsey’s hand.

“Isn’t that right dad? Me and Lucre will be mentors!”

Luke and Kelsey exchanged a knowing glance. The memory of Y/N, flashed through Luke's mind for the first time in years, felt like a painful echo from the past. The ache in his heart remained.

Kelsey placed a reassuring hand on Luke's shoulder, “You know, it’s a pretty big position, takes a lot of responsibility," she said, trying to explain the weight of the role to their children.

Their youngest son, Hermes, looked at Luke with wide eyes, "Dad, did you ever mentor someone?"

Luke hesitated for a moment, his gaze distant. Finally, he replied, "Yes, I did once. I attended the same academy you guys are attending.”

Lucretius, always having been curious, continued, "What was it like, Dad? Was it fun? Did your tribute win?”

A heavy silence hung in the room as Luke reflected on the question. Kelsey squeezed his shoulder, before getting up to bring the dishes to the sink.

“I did my best, but sometimes, things don’t go as planned.”

Their children, oblivious to the hurt behind their father’s words continued to chat excitedly about the Games. But in that moment, as they watched the televised games, Luke’s brain couldn't help itself but revisit the past, his heart heavy with the memory of Y/N, and the lingering question of what could have been if he had chosen differently.

Please note I’m only doing players who were under contact last year and not undrafted free agents

Tier One: their phone should be buzzing

Daryl watts, Michela Cava, Hannah Miller, Kateřina Mrázová,

All these players were highly productive on their teams last season and are immediate impact players

Tier two: maybe not the first call, but should be highly sought after

Kaleigh Fratkin, Rebecca Leslie, Lauriane Rougeau, Gabrielle David, Claire Dalton, Abbey Levy, Sandra Abstreiter

These are proven players who had decent years, but may be called after tier one players and some draft picks get settled in to see where they fit in the roster .

Tier 3: building out your roster

Emma woods, Emma Greco, Lexie Adzija, Gigi Marvin, Amanda Pelkey, Sarah Bujold, Liz Schepers, Melissa Channell, Paetyn Levis, Kayla Vespa,

Fits into two groups; those who are Swiss army type middle six / pairing players who can play up and down the lineup. players who will still be third/fourth liners of depth defenders but were extremely effective in that spot, bumping them up a tier.

Tier Four: quality depth players

Madison Packer, Alexandra Labelle, Olivia Knowles, Carly Jackson, Sarah Lefort, Leah Lum, Jillian Dempsey, Madison Bizal, Catherine Dubois, Taylor Wenczkowski, Kelly babstock, Cami Kronish, Claire Butorac, Amanda Leveille, Lauren Bench, Shiann Darkangelo, Rachel McQuigge, Johanna Fällman, Lindsey post

Third/ fourth liners and third pair defender and goalies. Some of these players have a specific niche they fill, a lot are veterans, thus making me think they’ll get some early training camp invites. Unfortunately with a tight cap and limited spaces, it’s possible not all will be signed, but all will be considered

Tier four: reserves

Sam Cogan, Jess jones, Maude Poulin-Labelle, Jessica Kondas, Emma Keenan, Alexa Vasko, Kaitlin Willoughby, Liliane Perreault, Alexandra Poznikoff, Catherine Daoust, Madison Bizal, Brigitte Laganière, Nicole Kosta, Abby Cook, Brooke Bryant, Clair DeGeorge, Dominique Kremer, Nikki Nightengale, Akane Shiga, Rosalie Demers, Sammy Davis, Sam Isbell, Malia Schneider, Emma Buckles, Lauren MacInnis, Carley Olivier, Olivia Zafuto, Alexa Gruschow, Taylor Baker,

A lot of these players here either played little last year or were already reserves, or are playing a position/niche that is overcrowded. Many of these players are talented and could def earn a spot for a team that they gel right with, but likely wouldn’t be until after training camp. This tier is pretty close to tier three and probs a lot of overlap depending on a coaches evaluation of how players fit in their system

Tier ?: the unknown

Sydney Brodt, Mikyla Grant Mentis, Audrey-Anne Veillette, Ann-Sophie Bettez, Caitrin Lonergan, Fanni Garát-Gasparics, Kristin Della Rovere

These players did not play a lot last year due to various circumstances but were pretty impactful / took on high end roles when they did. Because of that, they separate themselves from other players who saw limited minutes and may be ore sought after. The exception is Veillette, who straight up DNP due to injury, but was thought pretty highly of when drafted. Bettez is also a weird one here because though she missed a lot this year, everyone knows what she’s capable of, but I don’t think she’d be willing to leave Montreal

#thoughts #tier four and five I’m not very set on a few players in those #a lot of things like straight up ice time went into that decision #and tended to give veteran players like darkangelo more grace to bump her up even #tho she didn’t have the greatest year #there’s also players like shiga and poulin labelle and kremer that I really really like in the reserve tier and want a spot for them #bc I think they could really find a place on this league #also this is me trying to think how I. think teams would see it and not my personal take #ie I’d probs have Dempsey higher #it was hard to totally vibe check the defense first players tho bc of how little #public stats we have to evaluate them so I may be wildly off on those #I am not able to go back and watch games with notes sadly

[WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN]

Before its cancellation, plans for a fourth and potentially final season of Martin Mystery was in the works from Marathon Media and years later, they were eventually leaked out and later confirmed to be true from the creators:

• Season 4 in a change of pace, would've been serialized by having stories that would span multiple episodes and make mini-arcs with them comparing it to the fifth and final season of Totally Spies!, another show of theirs.

• In one of the mini-arcs, we would have saw the return of the Gatekeeper who was last seen in the Season 2 finale which ended on a cliffhanger with him infiltrating the Center with the storyline picking that up with Martin and Billy uncovering it in a conspiracy within the Center itself.

• Others that would've happened were Jenni and returning characters Michelle Dubois, Darla and Kaitlin becoming new agents for the Center, an episode set in Chinatown that would've been an homage to John Carpenter's Big Trouble In Little China, creatures such as the Jersey Devil, mermaids that steal souls and the Ninki Nanka were to be included but in their own different ways, it was going to be revealed that the Center was founded by the first President Of The United States themselves, George Washington himself.

• A new character that would've been introduced and be added to the main cast is Troy — a british gymnast who died of a broken neck back in the 80s but is accidentally brought back to life by Diana and is now a corpse without half of his body and a snapped neck that is has to use duc tape to keep said head up. No, seriously.

• Now one major storyline that would've changed the show and recontextualize it is that while Martin figures it all out by himself, Diana discovers that M.O.M. is in fact her mother and his step-mother. The latter is already on thin ice and working her way to the top with the help of Martin after the Octavia Paine incident but at the end of one of the mini-arcs, Diana discovers this to her shock, disbelief and horror, only be immediately "caught" and kidnapped by M.O.M. who appears right behind her out of the shadows in her room. M.O.M. reveals that she wiped her family's memories of her and has kept them in stasis in order to keep their relationship from interfering with her role as head of the Center, leading to more of M.O.M.'s character being fleshed out which shows her as a strict and morally grey but loving and caring woman who will equally do anything to keep the Center afloat and anything to keep her family safe to which she's called out on by Diana for all of the things that she's been through and all of the things that's happened to her, leading M.O.M. to question herself. To show what kind of drama we're dealing with and were to be dealing with, an episode would've ended with just M.O.M. and Diana driving in a car with the former driving and the latter sitting next to her, Diana apologizes for everything that has just happened and M.O.M. says she know she is and that she's her daughter and nothing will ever change that, she'll always love and care for her no matter what and nothing will ever change that as well but from this point forward to she don't know when, her trust is something Diana is going to have to earn back. Diana hangs her head down in shame as M.O.M. drives off emotionless.

Oh, and M.O.M.'s real name is revealed to be Olivia Lombard.

Olivia laughs. “I may not wear jewelry often, but I never get rid of any of it.” She thinks then of the little wooden chest full of jewelry upstairs in her old bedroom at her parents’ manor. “Though there are some pieces I probably will never wear again,” she adds softly.

“What made you decide to wear that one again, after all this time?”

She looks down at the ring. It is a very pretty ring, made of seaglass in a bluish-green color. For a time many years ago, she had taken to wearing it on her index finger, but it was always a little too snug there. Today, she wears it on her ring finger.

It fits perfectly there.

“It just felt right,” she says simply, with a smile.

Thalia looks at her a little sadly. “I can’t believe you’re leaving for a whole year.”

“I am,” Olivia agrees, “but I won’t be far, and I’ll be back for your wedding. I promise.”

“Mama says you’re not coming back to Clario even after the year is up.”

Surprised, Olivia stares at her younger sister. “She told you that?”

Thalia nods. “She says you’re going to go off to sea with… the Captain.” Thalia whispers the last bit, looking furtively around as if afraid someone will hear her. It almost makes Olivia laugh.

“She would say that, wouldn’t she,” Olivia murmurs. She sighs. “I don’t know what will happen in a year, Tati.”

“I wouldn’t blame you if you did, you know,” Thalia replies, nodding her head sagely. “Go off with him, I mean. If you really love him, there must be something really good about him.”

“Thank you, Tati,” Olivia smiles. “And you’re right. There is something really good about him - there are lots of good things about him.”

Thalia looks at her sister with interest. “Livvy, is he really a pirate? That kind of pirate?”

“Who can say?” She smirks at her sister. “I know that he sometimes acquires rare goods from foreign countries. I hear he’s a fairly successful merchant.”

This makes her younger sister laugh. “Oh Livvy, I’m glad to see you haven’t changed at all. I’m really going to miss having you close.”

Olivia gathers her in a tight hug. “You’re welcome to come visit Vora anytime,” she tells her. “And like I said, I’ll be back for your wedding in a few months. Try not to let Mama drive you crazy with the planning in the meantime.”

“She’s already starting to.” Thalia rolls her eyes. “I think she’s planning the wedding she always wanted for you… and even though it’s not a political marriage, she’s still making a really big affair of it.”

Olivia clicks her tongue sympathetically. “Now I feel even worse for leaving you alone with her at a time like this.”

“It’s ok,” her sister smiles. “I’ve got Papa on my side to keep her from getting too out of control. And I want to hear all about your adventures in your letters, alright?”

“I’ll write to you often,” Olivia promises. “Long, boring letters filled with every little detail about where I am and what I’m doing. You’ll get sick of me before long.”

“That will never happen.”

“I see you’ve been filling Tati’s head with all sorts of fables,” Olivia remarks dryly.

“Fables?” Mirelle looks curiously back at her. “What do you mean?”

“She said you told her that I was planning to go off to sea with the Captain.”

“Well, aren’t you?”

“I haven’t planned anything beyond what I need to do for the year that I’ll be helping Vora reestablish their government.” Olivia laughs. “What brings you here anyway? I thought you said you’d never come to my… how did you put it?” She taps a finger against her chin. “My filthy little hovel… I think that’s the way you described it.”

“In my defense, I didn’t know what it looked like at the time,” Mirelle protests. “And you can’t imagine the picture my mind conjured up when you told me you’d be living in a room down at the docks.”

Olivia raises both eyebrows questioningly, a wry smile pulling at her mouth. “And now?”

“Now what?”

“What do you think of it, now that you’ve seen it?” She’s expecting criticism and braces herself for it.

“It suits you,” Mirelle says after a moment, taking her daughter completely by surprise. “Has… he been here?”

Olivia can’t help but to laugh at the way her mother has phrased it - Mirelle is looking furtively around as though someone will hear her, not unlike the way Thalia looked when she made mention of ‘the Captain.’ “Of course he’s been here,” Olivia answers reasonably, as she folds clothes and sets them aside in piles to be packed. “He doesn’t always sleep on his ship, you know.”

Her mother tries not to look scandalized. “And he’s going with you to Vora.”

“He’s taking me to Vora,” Olivia corrects her.

“Couldn’t you just go with Prince Silvio on his vessel?”

Olivia sighs. “You know very well why I can’t.”

“But---”

“Mama,” she interrupts, trying not to sigh again. “It’s my last night here… I don’t want to fight.”

Her mother is quiet for a moment. “I don’t want to fight, either,” she confesses. “And you may not believe me when I tell you this, but… I am proud of you.”

“Why?” Olivia snorts. “Aren’t I a colossal disappointment? I’m not doing any of the things you wanted me to do.”

“You’re not,” her mother agrees. “But you’re doing the things you want to, and that’s why I’m proud of you.”

Her words leave Olivia speechless. She’s still struggling to find the words to say when there’s a knock at her door. “Come in,” she calls.

“Olivia!” The word comes out as a hiss. “You don’t just invite people into your home without first checking to see who’s at the door!”

“I know who’s at the door,” she laughs, as the knob begins to turn.

“Oh,” Grimmjow says, standing in the doorway. “Didn’t know ya had company. I can come back later---”

“Stay,” Olivia says, motioning him in. “My mother isn’t company - she’s my mother.”

“It’s nice to know what you really think of me.” Mirelle stands. “It’s quite alright,” she goes on, her words addressed to Grimmjow. “I was leaving soon anyway. The carriage is waiting for me out on the road.”

“I’ll walk ya,” he offers.

Her mouth is set to refuse him, but one glance at Olivia and she reconsiders. “If you’d be so kind,” she says gracefully.

Olivia reaches out, pulling her mother into a tight embrace. “Thank you,” she whispers. “For what you said.”

“I meant it,” her mother tells her sincerely. “And whatever… whatever you decide to do once you’ve finished your time in Vora, make sure it’s what you really want to do.”

“I will,” Olivia smiles. “I promise.”

“There’s my carriage.” Mirelle turns to face him. “I’d like to ask a favor of you.”

“Me?” Grimmjow chuckles. “Ain’t sure what I could do for ya, but whatever it is, I’ll try.”

“Take care of her, please,” Olivia’s mother requests, her voice soft. “Olivia is many things, but she’s never been foolish. If she loves you… if she trusts you, I know it’s because you’ve done something to earn her love and her trust. So please,” she goes on, “take care of her, even when she isn’t taking care of herself. Especially when she isn’t taking care of herself.”

Her words seem to surprise him. He recovers quickly however, flashing Mirelle a charming grin that makes her think she’s getting a little glimpse of what Olivia sees in him. “I give my word, M’Lady,” he offers. “Me, I might be a lotta things ya don’t agree with, but I can tell ya I’m a man of my word. I’ll look after her.”

“Thank you,” Mirelle replies, her smile relieved.

Grimmjow waits until she’s safely in the carriage before he turns away.

Olivia is waiting when he gets back. In just the quarter of an hour or so that he’s been gone, she’s managed to get all of the piles of folded clothes packed away and her bags set by the door.

“All ready to go, I see,” he observes with a smile.

“Mmhm,” she agrees. “Did my mother give you an earful?”

“Nah.” Grimmjow chuckles, reaching out and pulling her by the waist until she’s flush against him. “She told me to take care of ya.”

“She did?”

“Yeah.” He wraps his arms around her. “Told me that if you love me and trust me, I musta done somethin’ to earn it.” He leans back, tilting her chin up with his hand so he can look into her eyes. “Did I do somethin’ to earn it, Sae?”

Olivia looks back at him, her eyes lit up with amusement. “You mean to tell me you’ve been going along all this time without knowing?”

She expects him to laugh too, to make some clever joke about it. Instead, his eyes are serious and searching, and it makes her realize that he legitimately wants to know. “Come here,” she says softly, taking his hand in hers and leading him over to sit next to her on the bed. Even when they’re settled there, sitting side by side, Olivia doesn’t let go of his hand. She links her fingers with his, raising her left hand to his eye line so he can see the ring there. “Do you remember this?”

Grimmjow squints. “I bought ya that.”

“You did,” she agrees with a smile. “It was one of the very first things you brought me back from Vora.” She looks down at the ring. “Why did you buy it?”

He considers her question but not for long, and it makes Olivia think the answer is something he’s already thought about. “You seemed so happy whenever I would bring shit from Vora for ya,” he starts. “I just liked seein’ that little smile on your face… the way your eyes would light up when ya got excited.” He chuckles. “You’re always pretty Sae, but ya look prettiest when you’re happy.”

She can feel them - the little butterflies that haven’t left her stomach since she’s embraced what she feels for this man. “That,” she says quietly. “Since I met you, you’ve been trying to make me happy. Even when I didn’t realize that’s what you were doing, you were only trying to make sure I was always smiling. That I always felt my best.

“Sometimes that meant bringing me beautiful things from Vora,” she goes on. “Little pieces of home, things that reminded me of the place I loved and missed so much. Sometimes it meant teasing me in a way that would make me forget whatever was troubling me in favor of a laugh. It often meant sharing a drink with me, or letting me cry on your shoulder - sometimes both at the same time.” She pauses, remembering something specific.

“I woulda kicked his ass if you’d needed me to,” he interjects quietly, and it’s then that she knows he’s thinking of it, too.

“I know,” Olivia laughs, even though there are tears in the corners of her eyes. “But what happened back then wasn’t his fault, and I loved that you respected that fact enough to let it be.” She turns to face him, bringing his hand up to her lips and pressing a kiss to each of his knuckles. “I love you, Grimmjow. I love everything about you… even the parts of you that you think I wouldn’t.” She reaches up with both hands, cupping his face and bringing him close for a kiss.

One kiss turns into two, two turns into three, and it isn’t long before they’ve shed the thin layers of fabric separating their skin. As she always does when he’s fully sheathed inside of her, Olivia marvels at how good he feels.

Grimmjow holds her close, his hands tightly gripping her hips as she moves on top of him. He is hard-pressed to take his eyes off of her even to blink.

It makes her feel like a goddess.

Afterward she rests her head on his chest, listening to his heartbeat and feeling the way his chest rises and falls with each breath he takes. “I’m always happy when I’m with you, no matter what we’re doing or where we are,” she tells him, her voice solemn and hushed. “I trust you with my life, and I…” She trails off, her gaze dropping once more to the ring on her finger. “I wouldn’t mind spending the rest of that life with you. Wherever that takes us.”

“Even though you deserve better?”

She stares up at him. “What I deserve,” she starts, her gaze never leaving his, “is a man who loves me the way that I am and who is happy with me. Are you saying you’re not that man?”

It makes him laugh, the intensity of her stare. “You are one fuckin’ scary woman when you wanna be.”

“But am I wrong?”

He shakes his head, still chuckling. “I want ya, Sae, more than ya know. And if you’ll have me, I’ll stay with ya until I get old and ugly.”

“I can’t ever see you being old or ugly,” she laughs. “And even if you are, I’ll still want to be with you.”

“Might live to regret that,” he warns her, his blue eyes twinkling with mischief as he shifts in bed to hover above her.

“Somehow,” she giggles breathlessly, “I doubt that will ever happen.”

A/N: Here we are, at the end of this little tale. If you've made it this far, thank you for being patient with me (especially while I worked up the nerve to finish and post this last chapter). I had so much fun writing this fic this time around, because I let the characters tell me how the story should go.

Fear not - this isn't the end of Grimmjow and Olivia's adventures. There will be more of them to come, hopefully in the not-so-distant future. I have ideas for them, and I hope you'll stick around to see those ideas come to fruition.

Sua arma é a "Mensageira Alada", uma adaga estilete de ferro estígio, leve e resistente, perfeita para ataques rápidos e precisos que vira uma pulseira, mas honestamente, Marlowe não gosta de usá-la, pois acredita que tudo pode ser resolvido com um bom diálogo;

Episode 03

"The Traditional Welcome"

Ah, the controversial (for some) and at the same time wonderful episode 3 of New Gen. What I can say for sure is that I liked everything in general. Relaxed atmosphere, good images, good scenes. The episode flew by for me, I couldn't believe it when it ended. And now we have to wait another month to see how the story unfolds…

I won't mention much here about the "Roy case", as I believe I have already said everything I think about this subject. But compared to Thomas, Devon, Jason and Amanda (the latter not so much, since, unfortunately, I can't get along with her), everything seemed adorable and charming. And, in Jason's case, intense and fun.

As the images of my two passions from Devenementiel are in different places, I needed to adapt the party location. So, the Welcome Happy Hour takes place, in its first half, in the park, with everyone together, and they end the night at Olivia's house, which is cozier, but unfortunately, not everyone was able to stay until the end. Colette was driven home by Thomas on his motorbike. I don't know if the game intends to do this at some point, but I decided to move things forward. She is the one who ends up wearing the helmet, so that the daisy crown doesn't fall apart on Thomas' head.

(In fact, here's my indignation that they didn't make a sprite of Thomas with a flower crown on his head. It's not like it would be difficult to add a small accessory to an already finished model. It would have been beautiful!)

In parallel, simply, Meredith and Jason are toasting success because of another contract done very well. I'm taking my steps to develop the scene better from the point of view of my headcanon. I promise not to leave you in the dark.

Not to forget, some pieces of clothing I wore were found on the Drive that @candysweetposts posted. Once again I reiterate: you are strong!

Since I started by explaining more general things, now I'm going to explain the Paranormal Order and the teams! Maybe a little bit of the characters

So, Ordem Paranormal means Paranormal Order, but the official name inside the lore is Ordo Realitas and its a big and secret organization with headquarters in Brazil.

The agents are divided in teams and usually they are always together to fight the paranormal.

Equipe Aniquiladores: The oldest team! The members include Senhor Veríssimo (a NPC, the Order leader), Aaron (NPC, a mysterious sniper), Balu (Played by Calango, funny guy), Arnaldo Fritz (sometimes a npc, sometimes played by Rakin, a famous actor), Chizue Akechi (a NPC, uses Katanas) and some other unknow people, now inactive;

Equipe Veterana de Varredura: Balu, Arnaldo Fritz, Johnny Tabasco (played by Alanzoka, really impulsive) and Luciano Carvalho (played by LJoga, a former military), now inactive;

Equipe Brasa: Erin Parker (played by Kalera, heavy inspired by Jinx from League of Legends), Fernando Carvalho (also played by LJoga, Luciano's husband), Luciano Carvalho and Tristan Monteiro (NPC, funny flirty guy), now inactive;

Equipe Iniciante de Varredura: The first team to be presented in the series! Its members are Alexsander Kothe (played by LJoga, a history teacher), Daniel Hartmann (played by Luba, a writer), Elizabeth Webber (played by Bagi, a medical doctor and forensic scientist) and Thiago Fritz (played by Rakin, Arnaldo's son), now inactive;

Equipe Veterana: Arnaldo Fritz, Chizue Akechi, Cristopher Cohen (played by LJoga), Francisca Parker (NPC, Erin's grandmother) and Senhor Veríssimo, now inactive;

Equipe E: Second season team! Arthur Cervero (played by Guaxinim, handsome and cute guy), Cesar Oliveira Cohen (Played by Calango, nerd and Cristopher's son), Elizabeth Webber, Joui Jouki (played by Luba, gymnast), Thiago Fritz, now inactive;

Equipe Kelvin: Kenan Thomas (played by Leo Santi), Mariana Carona (played by Bagi), Miguel Cariad (initially played by Calango, later he became a NPC), now inactive;

Equipe D: Third season team! Arthur Cervero, Beatrice Portinari (played by Triz Pariz, has a cool bird), Dante (played by Rakin, an ocultist), Elizabeth Webber, Erin Parker, Fernando Carvalho, Joui Jouki, Kaiser (Cesar Oliveira after some traumas), Luciano Carvalho, Orpheu (the cool bird!) and Tristan Monteiro, now inactive;

Dragões Metálicos: A metal band inspired by Metallica, they're all NPCs! Kurt Hemmis, Leandro Hans, Marcos Front and Roberto Lutrijo, now inactive;

Equipe Espiãs: Team inspired by Totally Spies, they're all NPCs! Alexia Grifo, Clarissa Leão and Samantha Hale, now inactive;

Dupla Johnny e Rubens: Johnny Tabasco and Rubens Naluti (played by Felps, a silly little guy), now inactive;

Equipe Abutres: Balu, Arthur Cervero, Carina Leone (played by Bagi, italian mafia girl), Dante, Joui Jouki and Rubens Naluti, still active;

Equipe Delta: NPC only team: Jiro Yukami, Naomi Akechi and Olivia Lefleur, still active;

Dupla Cavalcante e Wanderley: Cavalcante Bueno (a NPC) and Wanderley Nascimento (played by Rakin)

And also theres teams from another countries or without any contact with the Order:

Hell Hunters: Ex members from SWAT, their headquarters are in Texas, United States, all the members are NPCs. Arnold Strolley, Chloe Grey, Jason Bloom, Karen Brown, Miguel Hernandez, Roy Stevens, Ryder States, Stella Green and Troy Walker;

Obscurité: A french team of anarchists who lives in Paris' Catacombs, almost all of them are NPCs. Bernadette Leroy, Cartier Dubois, Delano Martin, Désirée Menet, Dominic Sy Pierre (played by Abelha), Emmanuelle Adrien, Lorraine Orleans, Marc Menet, Margot Renaud, Maxime Auclair, Oriel Renaud and Yuki Saito (played by Kalera);

Família Leone: Italian mafia, almost all NPCs. Alfredo Leone, Alonzo Leone, Ângela Leone, Antonella Leone, Brando Leone, Carla Leone, Carina Leone, Chiara Leone, Dario Leone, Enzo Leone, Fabrizio Leone, Giuseppe Leone, Lorenzo Leone, Marco Leone, Patrizia Leone and Roberta Leone;

Os Cinco: Team kinda based on Scooby-Doo and in sci-fi 90' movies. Xande (played by Guaxinim, impulsive and cool guy), Dara Venturini (played by Carol, team's support), Chico (played by LJoga), Guizo (played by Felps), Lírio Tellini (played by Gary, he's THE WALL), Morato Vertaler (NPC) and Voytek Nowak (NPC).
