Ayyye my dudes, so I’ve been getting some things in order irl. I wanted to make a some kind of announcement that I’ll be coming out of my haitus from fandom and writing.

I’m not sure that I’ll get to Clerith content just yet as I need to update the SasuSaku content first. I’ve had three chapters of The Uchiha’s Wife sitting in my drive for almost a year now and would like to get cracking on posting at least one of those chapters by the end of October.

I’ll be doing a reading thread over on twitter as I read back through TUW and figure out what direction I was going. If you’re interested in following along with that you’re more than welcome to it’ll be under my cosplay username (@SakuraMadoi) since I’m waaaay to lazy to make a separate writing account for twitter.

So I just took my time to graze over the Batman #50 and Catwoman #1. As soon as @kingofthesharingan threw down The NY Times article I immediately halted my purchase of all the variants.

I’m not disappointed by this decision—it was a sound decision.

I don’t just have cash to waste on such piss poor writing and character destruction and devaluation.

How could you possibly think this wouldn’t be met with outrage and disbelief DC? How?

In one issue you completely undermined and devalued everything these two have gone through since their conception. You undermined Selina’s understanding over Bruce. You smeared Bruce’s understanding of Selina equally. You built this whole charade up just to have fucking Holly—Holly of all fucking people—manipulate and convince Selina she shouldn’t do this.

That batman couldn’t possibly win if he had happiness—if she took that lonely boy’s hand in hers and showed him how to live without misery guiding him.

For it to be this easy after everything they’ve done up till this disgrace of an issue and even well before rebirth is just fucking laughable.

Like how? How can you destroy these two characters like this and even worse have the balls to tweet “remember guys this is only issue 50 out of 100”.

Go to absolute hell dude. Seriously. You wanna talk about how some things make you upset and how some things make you happy blah fuckin blah—let me let you know that I take this extremely personal. I was a total train wreck mentally at 21 years old due to a traumatic event and Batman was the sole reason I found myself again. It was the one thing that gave me hope and belief that people who do bad things will be put on trial fairly and that justice was a thing. It was the thing I needed most. Reading their relationship, reading catwoman’s solos, and reading his solo work as well and just letting it completely distract me from being pissed off and angry absolutely fueled me and gave me back my life, and now I get to watch you take something that saved me and destroy the character that gave me that hope for sake of “kek plot twist”.
