Before the grand pokemon finale, I give you some work I did on the card game Flagbearers! This is their Omniborg faction and I had a lot of fun doing it!

It was also my first really big batch of commissions since I broke into digital art and I still hope it’s an example for future commissions to come.

          he doesn’t think much of it at first,  optics softening when he sees her,  arms already pulling her into a hug as he gently headbutts her in return    —    the closest he gets to giving a kiss,  of course.    the one con of being an exo,  he thinks.

          “    hey there,  my dawn.    how have you been ?    ”    it’s then he takes pause,  noticing that she seems to be wearing a certain crimson red lipstick.    he could only chuckle in response as he puts two and two together,  shaking his head ever slightly at her.    “    lemme guess:    you left a nice lil mark on my white stripe,  huh ?    ”

          “    well ?    does it look nice ?    maybe i should show it off to cayde.    wonder what he might think.    after all…    i know he’s got a soft spot for romance.    ”

          that hunter of the heart novel he found was enough evidence for that one.

武神◈ - Laying her upon the cotton mattress that he had laid out for her, a metallic hand slid underneath her hair before adjusting her head so that she could fit comfortably onto the pillow. He had cleaned her wounds and fed her water before settling her down in bed. Reaching for the loose strands that covered her face, his cybernetic fingers would slowly tug them behind her ear. 

There was no doubt about it, that she was Hotaru - a familiar face from Overwatch, an old comrade. Though it was a mystery, as to how she ended up at the gates of the temple within Nepal, injured - the cyborg figured that he would save the questions for later, when she was conscious and healthy.

Silently, he sat at the balcony of his quarters, facing the sky while cross-legged - Genji closed his eyes to slip into a session of meditation.

     No one else pays much mind to the hurried movement that follows them leaving the debriefing. Glances are spared, maybe, but no one catches sight of the look on her face before her back is turned and she’s disappeared around a corner. If they did, someone would be checking on her, but everyone else is content to carry on at a leisurely pace. He notices, though. Genji notices, and the familiarity of the expression he’s seen so briefly lingers with him, heavy.

Avoiding her has been pointed. It’s all been intentional, if purely due to the fact that he hasn’t been sure how to approach someone like himself. How to feel about someone else whose body is part machine -- different tech, different process, but... similar enough that he can relate to her. He doesn’t think that he’s related to her more, however, than in this particular instant. Perhaps that’s what has him leaving his comrades in order to trail after her.

     “ You were listening in on the debriefing. ” A statement, not a question, comes as he eyes Hotaru where he’s found her. Distance is kept between them, but his voice is calm. He isn’t angry that she’s listened in on something meant to be classified -- he couldn’t care less about that fact -- and that much comes across. Referring to her as a ‘monster’ had seemed unprofessional to him, not to mention incredibly exaggerated, but he had not cut in to correct. He had seen no point, then. Now, though... 

               Now he suspects that ‘monster’ is a word that plagues her,                                                                   much like ‘machine’ plagues him.

     “ You were not meant to hear that, ” he tells her, though he quickly realizes how the words aren’t remotely reassuring. Gaze lowers, then darts off to one side, and Genji falls silent, arms tense but at a loss for what to do at his side. A moment passes, perhaps a few, before a long exhale is released and his head turns back toward her. “ That is not how they see you. ”

i don’t usually do bias lists, not because i don’t love and appreciate everyone who’s kind enough to follow me, but because when it comes down to it, the numbers don’t really matter to me. all i care about is that i have some lovely people who write & plot with. which i’m fortunate enough to have on all of my blogs!! however, in shiro’s case, i want to make an exception because in a lot of ways, he means a bit more to me than my other muses --- i’ve been invested in him for the longest.

what i’m getting at is that shiro is an important muse & character to me and, after finally losing my energy and patience with the v/ld fandom & rpc and thus leaving it, i missed him a lot but was hesitant to make a blog that was all AU & no canon. muse won out, of course, and here we are. now, the point of me getting emotional: you guys have all followed me here. whether you followed after i self promo’d on my genji blog or because we’ve been friends since i was part of the v/ld fandom, whether you’re familiar with shiro as a character or not, it means so much to me. you guys have all allowed me to keep writing a muse who i’ve put two years of work into without having to deal with the fandom, you’ve followed me because you like writing with me regardless of whether you know my muse or if you even have a verse to interact with me in, and that’s just!! it’s really wonderful. maybe i’m a little overemotional but rp has been a big part of my life for a number of years now and writing shiro has helped me through a lot of darker times. you guys have allowed me to keep all that up, so thank you. ♡♡♡

subtle romance for an overly romantic heart

    IT’S TEMPTING, FOR SURE—- tempting to just reach out with ichor-drenched hands and press crimson lips all over his face. she’s a horrible, burning romantic, born with too much love & softness in a cruel world. is it a curse, to have all this love in her heart & have no courage to express it?   it’s raining again, & the statement is innocuous enough to make the omniborg stop tending to her plants, turning to look at genji & that infuriatingly smug look on his face. ( at least, that’s what it looks like at first — his voice is softer than normal, in a way that makes her heart feel too big & her chest too tight. )   she maintains the lie that he’s pissing her off, putting the plastic can down & quickly crossing what little space remains to straddle him on the shitty excuse for a couch she rebuilt. hands once soaked in rot & blood curl into soft, familiar locks of hair, & for a moment, she almost allows herself to believe this is... real.    “you’re the worst, you know that?” you make my heart feel too big for my body, my lungs devoid of air & every piece of me designed for MURDER feeling like it’s something divine.     it’s horrible, how he makes her feel — it’s too beautiful, too soft, too… much.

   ( & yet, she indulges in her worst instincts, scarred crimson lips pressing ever-so-lightly against his despite everything harsh about her. & if she melts a little under her fellow cyborg’s touch... well, it’s mere coincidence. )

    ( she’s a brutally soft woman, a messy web of contradictions, & genji’s made the critical mistake of letting her feel that it’s okay. )

c/ayde would start tower - wide dances

example one: he blasts safety dance through the tower pa. the goal is to do the safety dance in the most obscure place you can.

example two: he gets a-ha’s take on me playing. he starts the dance line trend. the goal is to get as many guardians to join in on the line as possible.

c/ayde would also start a tower - wide game of “ the floor is lava ”

( loosely based on the Thing in the traveler location in d/2 btw lmao )

there are two ideas to this: the first one is that he koala clings to z/avala while this poor titan vanguard just has to sigh.

the other one is that he’ll parkour his way across roofs to get to where he has to go. he stands on the table ( away from his map ) to talk. and feel tall.
