On A Day Like This :)

One day while walking at the park, listening to the songs on my playlist I'll see you taking photos of random things enjoying the lovely scenery while listening to the soft hush of the wind. We're just two strangers on that same place; with kids playing around, old people sitting together while watching the sunset. I look at you from where I stand and think how noble it is to be someone like you, enjoying yourself and creating a whole new world on those frames. I see you look at my way so I turn around and pretend doing other stuffs. Then suddenly those kids playing with their balloons came running towards our opposite direction. One asked me to get hold of her balloon. Then suddenly I see you standing before me, with a kid holding your hand and the other holds your camera. You look at me and for the first time our eyes meet. It seems like forever not before those small voices tease the two young adults before them. We both looked away. JINX! One of them said and we laughed, dissolving all the awkwardness that just happened. You while holding your cam, smiling sheepishly at this strange girl facing you, captured the image of her on an instant saying you want this kind of expression saved, freezing time on that four corner paper. And then just like that we CLICKED :)

On A Day Like This...

"On a day like this, On a day like this I (CLAP) Need (CLAP) The Lord (CLAP) To help me!"

This is a line to one of the most annoying camp songs that I have ever known from my time as a camp councilor.  The song gets stuck in one's head SO easily and it repeats that same line over, and over, and OVER!  

Now I had been lucky enough to not get this song stuck in my head once, until a few weeks into camp one of the other staff members came up to me and started singing this song.  It was stuck in my head for the next week.  I was thrilled.  (Not really)

But now that I look back, I look at this encounter as a good thing.  As annoying as the song was, the words within it held something people can easily forget. 

Through this past semester at college, any time I have had a bad day this song (for some odd reason) has jumped right into my head on a loop!  I didn't really understand why until the second or third time this happened and then I stopped. 

On a day like this.  On a day like this.  On a day like this, I need the Lord to help me.

On those days things got crappy, and this song would jump in my head as a reminder that it was those days that I need help.  Every day actually, but especially those days. 

The most annoying little things can be a blessing in disguise!
