I've been having a lot of fun squeezing animals into different-shaped demon designs. here's some concept sketches:

Rin's ability is Crowned Crow, a familiar-type mare that manifests when their life is threatened and violently attacks whatever caused it. unfortunately they have zero control over this, so their job is to run directly into danger until it shows up and solves the problem.

thinking about unifying design elements for demons.

oneirosea is a shifting dimension made of dream energy, so most of it is "thinking", even if it's weird and undetectable by human standards. but once a chunk of oneirosea can learn things and be learned about, it becomes its own being - a demon. eyes seem to play a big role in that.

concepting how I want to draw and stylize Hoarfrost...

Ichika isn't a cryokinetic, technically; she just has the ability to create ice, not control it. once she breaks skin contact, it dissolves into snow and disappears. and since her power is a natural 'mare, it doesn't come with all the required secondary powers, meaning she's not immune to frostbite. it sucks a bit to use.

powerful demons can warp the bodies they possess, and the mutations persist even if the demon is exorcised and the host survives. the highest-ranked demons usually don't bother with possession at all, since their warping effect is so dramatic that the process is unsurvivable for both demon and host.

this has been in the oneirosea lore practically since the beginning, but somehow I've never done anything with it. correcting that mistake right now.
