snow would have been as bad or getting to be as bad as thistle had she lived. her death was probably what saved her from being an enemy in blue’s life. it was a mercy.

however, how interesting and tragic would it have been if bluestar’s first real trial was her sister? how heartbreaking it would be if she had to give up everything to protect her clan from snowfur?

It's the first true test of her bond with her sister versus her shared beliefs with Thistleclaw...and could you imagine the drama if she sided with Thistleclaw? Thistleclaw's influence, his hunger for blood, has now crept into her own sister. She can see it, the way that her own kin is staring at kittens with undisguised hatred. How can she keep them here when she knows that their own aunt won't be able to look at them the same...?

The drama of it, snowfur being considered for deputy to really hammer in home the development....mwah
