so y’all already knOw a little bit abt her Life and Backstory bc! she’s roman’s little sister so i’ll just kinda breeze over most of it but

she is the third walsh child born out of four, with 2 older brothers and 1 younger brother.... #goodluckcharlie

she’s nothing short of.... a baby genius tbh ? like babygirl is smart as a WHIP and that much became clear very quickly as a kid, she had the brains to go far! 

but she also had a Lot of energy... a Lot Of It. and focusing in school was always super hard for her, which was frustrating bc she knew everything and what was going on but she couldn’t ever make herself pay attention to it in class and was always getting in trouble

so! her parents tried to find something for her to do that was a constructive way to use all that energy! musical instruments were Not rumor’s friend, neither were most sports. it wasn’t until she started to figure skate that she found her niche :’) an she never looked back!

the rest of school passed? pretty uneventfully? but she did graduate 2 years early and went to columbia university where she majored in history (just like her dad huh) with a concentration focus in medieval and renaissance studies 

and then? she moved right back home post-graduation bc she has no idea what she wants to do w her degree at all! she just wants to figure skate :( so now she’s chillin at big bear, where she’s been for the last year give or take!!

and that’s kinda all i got for the biography rn KJDFMS but here are some fun facts abt rumor as a person that will help u to understand her

you're very welcome! I hoped to have read a few more things since your last messages but I have yet to do so 😭 but yeah I think its definitely a good idea to give the reader that sort of freedom, unless you do need to describe something specific for the sake of foreshadowing or whatever! because people will fill in the gaps anyway. i totally understand the self consciousness thing! im not sure if ive said this before but like, there is a vulnerability in making art and posting it to any public degree, so of course there would be self consciousness! you're presenting a part of you to the world so getting acceptance in return is super helpful, I imagine. I understand haha. writing in general is very like ... I often have very specific imagery or scenes in mind that I want to get to, but uh, they often need so much context to get up to that point hahaha, so I definitely understand that impatience. there's a recent saying I came across actually that I really liked, and I'm paraphrasing a bit, but it was like, 'no art is ever finished, just abandoned', and idk, I think it really did speak to me on an idea of like, you could really spend forever perfecting your work, or you could get it out there

omg yeah no all that premium nonsense i'm like tumblr what are you doing... like even when they started having sponsored ads on the dash that got increasingly nonsensical overtime, haha. yeah I agree, for all my issues with tumblr, it is a nice app to read fanfic on, and I sorta wish there was an ao3 app as well haha.

ooh, okay! so was this creative writing class an elective, I'm guessing? wild that it was related to one genre though haha, although creative writing was one of my majors so I suppose I would find that a little odd, but not in a bad way. I totally understand though, I ulted two groups before seventeen and while I definitely thought about it and even started writing, seventeen is the only group I've posted for, haha. but that's so neat! I love hearing peoples fanfic origin stories, especially into reader insert fanfic because it's still seen as like kind of a niche within a niche, id that makes sense.
