kindness is in the 16 cents that the cashier told you not to worry about because you only had a twenty. it’s in the mints and chocolates at the front of the store when you were a kid and they let you take one for free. it’s in all of the items, the merchandise, the products that have been given away because someone couldn’t bare to see you leave without them. it’s in the way we allow people little joys like these regardless of cost. kindness can be free
#i just love the look on peoples faces when i tell them they can grab an extra caramel#or when i tell them that it’s fine they don’t have to cover the change#i work in a store that sells a lot of different art and i see people fall in love with piece every day#and it KILLS me when i have to see them part with it#so what’s 25 cents to the mug a costumer bought for her bf bc even though he never said it out loud she knows he wants a matching mug#it’s NOTHING#or to the stuffed rabbit a child has been holding since the moment she saw it in the store#or to ANYONE WHO HAS BEEN BROUGHT JOY ITS NOTHINH
