Once again, thousands of people have gathered in Basque Country, through a mobilization, to express their full support for the Palestinian resistance, and to condemn the massacre being carried out against the Palestinians by the "Zionist entity of Israel". This time, the demonstration took place in Goierri: from Ordizia (Gipuzkoa) to Beasain (Gipuzkoa), these slogans were carried by crowds of people. Today, moreover, they put a special emphasis on "the complicity of Western governments and companies with Zionism": in particular, they targeted the CAF company in Goierri, which is why they mobilized in that region. The demonstration has been organized by the Palestine Solidarity platform, and has made a clear demand to CAF: to "leave Palestine once and for all" and to cancel its project to build a railway network in Jerusalem. Thus, the Basque company's "responsibility in the occupation and colonization of Palestinian lands" has been pointed out: "Through the tram that is being built in Palestine, they are confiscating Palestinian properties, evicting Palestinians from the neighborhoods of Jerusalem and facilitating settler expansion." And not only CAF: the members of the platform have reminded people that other companies in Basque Country are also directly responsible for the colonization of Palestine; such as M Torres, Sener, ITP Aero or Sapa arms companies. "The Basque business model, which Basque parties and institutions praise so much, prioritizes economic profits above anything else, and even in our country, big businessmen fill their pockets thanks to the imperialist role of the European Union and NATO," they pointed out.

Varios atletas sudamericanos, de gira por Europa, sobresalieron este sábado 24 de junio en el meeting de Ordizia (España). La brasileña Tabata Vitorino de Carvalho (FOTO) ganó los 400 metros llanos en 52.10, en tanto su compatriota Juliana de Menis Campos fue segunda en salto con garrocha con 4.30 m. En los 800 metros femeninos, donde venció la cubana Rose Almanza con 1:59.76, la uruguaya y campeona sudamericana Déborah Rodríguez quedó tercera con 2:02.76, un puesto por delante de la chilena Berdine Pierre Castillo (2:02.97). El colombiano Viáfara logró el salto con garrocha con 5.21 m. En los 1.500 metros masculinos, el argentino José Zabala fue 7° con 3:40.68, mientras que el chileno Esteban González quedó 12° con 3:46.79.
