Out of the deep a small pod of Hector’s dolphins appear, making our cruise a success. These dolphins are only found in the waters of New Zealand and are the smallest of the dolphin species swimming the southern ocean. Wow.

Beach day: The white sand beaches of the Otago Peninsula. Just 15 km from Dunedin in the South Island of New Zealand is a glorious bay called Sandfly Bay. Now the name may not sound all that appealing, but I can tell you this, it's a definite stop if your in the area. With its massive sand dunes and furry seals with also a possible encounter with one of the rarest penguins on the planet there is no doubt in my mind that it’s a gem for sure. Although waiting around that afternoon to evening hoping to get a glimpse of one of those well dressed little guys coming back from a day on the water we did happen to make friends with some of the local seals. Por fin pillamos conexión!! No os imagináis lo difícil que es tener cobertura en gran parte de la isla sur de Nueva Zelanda. A la que te alejas un poco de las urbes imposible conectarse! Eso quiere decir que vamos muy retrasadas con las fotos, pero bueno, seremos más selectivas! 🇳🇿 Uno de los "must do" en la Isla Sur, es la península de Otago.
