Pairing: SF9′s Youngbin x OC [Seul] || TBZ’s Sangyeon x OC [Yeon] ] Genre: slice of life, slight fluff Word Count: 3,453 Summary: Seul and Yeon are having a female-only bonding time before attending to their respective bosses after the outing.
Warning: none... i’m pretty sure.
hello! it’s been awhile hasn’t it? had writer’s block but eventually found some inspiration and came up with this. anyways, this is the Office Life with Yeon and Seul which i’ll make a separate post soon as it’ll get crowded later if i continued writing for these pairs lol but yeah, i think that’s about it. so happy reading and kthxbai, Admin Lia~
Yeon held a large leaf in hand whereas Seul held the clear umbrella over them with one hand as the sisters looked at one another with smiles on their faces to which they posed for the so-called candid shot in request of their mother and soon-to-be stepmother.
"Ooh, lovely, girls!"
Narae exclaimed as she proudly took the picture of her two daughters before looking over at her ex-husband's fiancee.
"Don't you think, Sanghee?"
"Yes, Narae. They're quite lovely."
Sanghee then glanced at Jangmi in her arms.
"Right, Jangmi? Mommy and Auntie Yeonnie looked pretty, huh?"
"Pretty! Pretty!" Jangmi cooed with a laugh as Sanghee continued speaking.
"That's right. You can't tell that they were annoyed with us at all throughout the day."
Jangmi agreed with a happy-go-lucky attitude as the older women chuckled leaving the younger two to eyed them a bit annoyed. Of course Jangmi had no clue what was going on besides knowing that she was having a grand time.
"Obviously." Yeon curtly responded while fingering the plant between her index finger and thumb before handing it to Jangmi.
"When y'all wanted to talk about the future of our soon-to-siblings, I didn't expect to be out here at Dream Forest having a grandmother-mother-daughter-granddaughter-auntie-niece whatever bonding time."
"Yeah," Seul agreed while handing the clear umbrella to her daughter as Sanghee set her down as the little one ran about them.
"Although I don't really mind, but we haven't even talked much. Just sight-seeing."
"If we did that, then we knew that Yeon wouldn't come." Sanghee explained with a knowing look.
"Um, yeah."
Yeon shot them a pointed look.
"I wouldn't even be wearing this dress if it was my choice."
"But you look so beautiful, my daughter." Narae cooed. "I can't imagine how you'll look at the wedding for Sanghee and Kisuk soon."
"Or for yours and Yongin." Sanghee added with a similar attitude.
Both women gushed at the idea of their weddings, but also that the other three would be a part of it. Yeon's face scrunched at both possibilities being very likely soon as Seul shoulder her with a mischievous look.
"Yeah, two events where you'll have to be all dressed up."
"Ugh. Don't remind me. I still have to go dress shopping for Sanghee's engagement party."
"Yeah, you still have several weeks before then." Sanghee smiled as Yeon sighed tiredly.
"But I still have to get dressed up."
"Oh, you'll live." Narae told her eldest daughter before taking another photo with a grin.
Narae took a few more of her  granddaughter.
"No wonder you get that from her." Yeon remarked to Seul as the younger sister chuckled.
"Yeah, yeah. Anyways," Seul changed the topic, "What else is on the agenda for today?"
"Nothing really." Narae answered with Sanghee nodding.
"Yeah. We mainly just wanted to get away for a few hours."
"Seriously?"
Yeon was not amused.
"We could've gone literally anywhere outside of Seoul for a better scene."
"Well, technically, it was more for the two of you then us." Narae explained with a sheepish look. "Sanghee mentioned some incidents at work and we both agreed that the two of you needed some relaxation in your schedule."
Sanghee held up a hand in her defense.
"To be truthful, it was just our idea. Kisuk is still unaware that the two of you work at EDAM since the both of you have applied under an alias."
"Okay, but y'all still could've just told us that, too." Seul said with a firm tone. "It's not like we're three."
"That's quite true." Narae agreed before shooting her daughters a knowing look. "But the same goes for the two of you when applying for a job outside either family's workplaces. You could've just rejected the positions we had aligned for you."
"Nah, Dad would've forced us either way."
Seul remarked as Sanghee nodded knowing that was the truth.
"Yes, that's true. Kisuk seems like the type."
Narae changed the subject a second later.
"Yes, he very much is. Anyways, let's get lunch on our way back home. Jangmi you're hungry, right?"
"Yeah! Food! Let's go!"
Jangmi charged on ahead as the umbrella and leaf in each hand moved about her in motion while the quartet followed suit with smiles on their faces. The quintet enjoyed a nice meal at a nearby restaurant while discussing Sanghee's engagement party as well as the future of the newborns. After that both Narae and Sanghee went about their own day leaving the trio to return home after stopping by a bakery along the day.
"Can Auntie have some of your milk bread?"
Yeon asked her niece while placing her hand near the said dessert.
"No."
Jangmi declined with a giggle as she moved the treat away from Yeon's reach.
"Are you three, too?"
Seul questioned her sister with Yeon frowning.
"Um, yeah I am because that was mine before your daughter wanted to trade because she didn't like the mango yogurt."
"Then you should've just ordered her the same thing than let her decide."
"Yeah, I know, but I wanted Jangmi to decide for herself since she liked how the drink looked."
Yeon went back to eating the yogurt while watching her niece happily tear apart the milk bun. Seul scoffed with a knowing smile.
"Sucks for you."
Yeon ignored her as Seul answered a call that came shortly after.
"Hello?"
Seul immediately muted the call while facing her sister.
"Um, it's my boss. I'll be back."
Seul patted her daughter's head.
"Mommy got a call, okay. Be good for Auntie Yeonnie, okay?"
"Otay!"
Jangmi responded cheerfully as Seul cast the two a smile before standing and walking out of the shop. Yeon watched her sister before facing her niece.
"If auntie buys another one, then you won't take that one, right?"
"No."
Jangmi giggled while chewing a piece of the condensed milk bread as Yeon knew that her niece was lying, but smiled anyways.
"Hey," Came Seul's voice as she returned, "I have to run some errands for my boss. Will you be able to watch Jangmi alone?"
"Yeah. I'll be fine. Do what you gotta do." Yeon told her sister.
"Thanks."
Seul patted her daughter's head.
"Mommy gotta work. Be good for Auntie Yeonnie until I'm done. Okay?"
"Otay. Love you."
Jangmi puckered her lips as Seul leaned closer for a kiss on the cheek.
"Thank you, and Mommy loves you, too."
Seul returned the same gestured before leaving with the umbrella that Yeon handed to her.
"Okay, so it's just you and me, MiMi. What do you wanna do after this?"
~~~~~~~
"Thank you for taking care of this errand on short notice, Ms. Lee. I really appreciate it."
Youngbin thanked Seul with a grateful smile as she brought him the Milkis cake from Tous Les Jours for a business function at the Four Seasons Hotel. He noticed her attire with a slight frown as the pair met at the front desk.
"I didn't pull you away from a previous engagement, did I? You didn't get caught in the rain either, I hope."
Seul shook her head.
"Oh, no. You didn't and the rain was very light out, but you're welcome, Mr. Kim. Luckily, I was nearby after an outing with family."
She vaguely informed him as she knew that Youkyoung was supposed to have ordered the cake and have it deliver beforehand, but no order was made and it left Seul to scramble at the last minute on her boss' behalf. Youngbin was unable to get a hold of his secretary as well.
"Oh, okay. That's good to hear."
Seul cast him a small smile.
"Will there be anything else, Mr. Kim?"
"No. I should be fine now. Thank you, Ms. Lee."
He looked about him before returning his gaze onto his personal assistant.
"Hopefully Ms. Seo will arrive and I won't have to bother you too much."
"Well, I am your personal assistant and it is my job to take care of errands and other miscellaneous things that Ms. Seo is unable to."
"Yes, very true. Well, Ms. Lee, have a wonderful evening."
"And the same to you, Mr. Kim."
Seul cast him one more polite smile before turning away. Her attention soon drifted to another part of the lobby upon recalling Sanghee wanted to have her engagement here at the same hotel. The hall was large and consisted of an indoor pool along with an amazing view. This piqued Seul's curiosity as she entered.
"Wow, this is really pretty."
She said to no one in particular as she moved closer to view the outside better, but avoided being close to the pool itself as she didn't have spare clothes to change into if she did get fully wet.
"No wonder Sanghee wants her party here. This will definitely be beautiful at night."
There were other guests of the hotel and of the business function scattered about in the room as well.
"Whoa, Yiseul Park, is that you I see looking so lovely right now?" Dawon said with a surprised teasing tone in seeing his friend and fellow colleague.
"What are you doing here?"
Seul turned and made a face at him using her real name.
"It's Seul Lee, remember?"
"Oh, right. Work-related. You and Yeon both. My bad."
Dawon chuckled as he neared.
"I thought you were on a family outing. Why are you working?"
"Youkyoung didn't bring the cake for your boss and I had to do it."
"He's your boss, too."
"Mmhmm. Anyways, why are you wandering around? Shouldn't you be mingling with the others and assisting Mr. Kim and what not?"
"The talk gets boring over the years and they have really long speeches that really makes no sense to which I don't have to listen in on as that's Youngbin's job. Anyways, I'm also trying to avoid a certain someone at the moment and do not want to meet their boss. By the way, you looked good in that dress."
"Thanks. You're not so shabby in your own get-up."
Dawon made a face.
"It's gets stuffy at times, but I can't wait until this is over and I could get out of this."
Just as Seul was gonna comment she was suddenly bumped from behind and stumbled into the pool.
"Yiseul!" Dawon called for her while turning to face the person that caused it.
"Seriously, Yuri?"
"It was an accident. It's not like I purposely did it."
Yuri countered. She was the person he was trying to avoid
"Right and the fact that you didn't  fall in either."
"I righted myself before I could."
Dawon ignored her.
"Yiseul!"
Seul resurfaced as she tread water to stay afloat while making sure all of her belongings didn't float away. Dawon called his friend's name and she waddle on over to him.
"I got you."
Seul reached for Dawon's outstretched hand as he pulled her closer to the edge of the pool. She coughed up the water as she breathed in air until her breathing returned to normal.
"What just happened?"
She looked at her friend as he motioned with his head towards Yuri.
"She happened."
"Who's she?"
"The one I mentioned earlier."
"I see."
Before Dawon could help Seul get out of the pool, Yuri pulled him away.
"C'mon. My boss is looking for you."
"Let go. I have other things to worry about."
"But she wants y-"
"I don't care."
"Dawon. It's fine. Just go before something else happens."
Seul told him as she managed to lift herself out of the pool and sat beside it.
"But-"
"I'm fine. Really."
"See, she's fine."
Dawon's jaw tightened as he looked at his friend. Seul gave him a nod that she was fine.
"C'mon, Dawon, let's go."
Yuri urged as she continued to pull on Dawon's arm. He shook her hold off of him with an annoyed look while casting his friend a worried look.
"Just call or message me when you get home. Okay?"
"I will."
"Alright, then. Take care."
"You, too."
Dawon cast Seul another concerned look before turning around and walking off. Yuri followed after him and tried to hold his hand, but he shook her hand away. Seul sighed wondering if the other woman thought she was competition, but recalled that she was the younger sister of Yuna. Seul scoffed at the idea that Yuri still clung to Dawn even after school when she knew that he would never like her back like that. Seul dismissed the thought as she wrung out her hair and dress with an even deeper sigh. Despite the whole dress being white she was glad that it wasn't see-through. She needed to dry off soon before returning home. Just as she stood up and had turned around, Youngbin was there with a towel for her.
"Are you cold?"
She eyed him weirdly not taking the towel.
"How long have you been standing there?"
"Not that long."
He continued to hold the towel for her to take. She tentatively took it.
"Thanks."
"You're welcome."
She placed it around her shoulders and noticed that he was still standing with her with no cake in hand.
"Shouldn't you get to the event?"
"Just some speeches going on that I just have to make sure to check in every now and then."
"Mmhmm. Well, thanks again. Where do I return the towel?"
Seul had removed the towel from around her as she used it to dry off the rest of her.
"Oh, they have a hamper at the changing room over there."
Youngbin pointed to the other side of the room that had a small area that disappeared around the corner.
"Okay, thanks."
Seul was about to walk off, but Youngbin stopped her.
"Hey, wait."
She watched as her boss began removing his suit jacket.
"Um, what are you doing?"
He didn't answer, but instead draped the fabric over her shoulders. He cast her a cheeky smile as he secure the jacket upon her.
"You can return it the next time you see me."
"Bu-"
"Sorry, gotta go. It's in your care for the time being."
Youngbin rushed off with a playful smile as Seul was left staring after him with furrowed eyebrows. She sighed, but nuzzled into the warm clothing.
"He's so weird. I'll see him the day after tomorrow."
Seul didn't ponder on it for long as she returned the towel, made a call to her sister using the front desk's phone, and drove to meet them as Jangmi wanted to go shopping.
~~~~~~~
"Okay, MiMi. Mommy needs new clothes. Let's find her some."
Yeon informed her niece once they were on the fourth floor of the Shinsegae Department Store and had entered Lucky Chouette.
"Why?"
Jangmi asked while holding her aunt's hand as Yeon lead the both of them around.
"Something happened when she left. Let's pick something Mommy would like."
"Otay!"
Yeon received the call from Seul after she had explained what had occurred. Yeon thought it was stupid on how that played out, but told her sister that she was lucky she was in Myeongdong. Now here she was looking for something that Seul could wear for the mean time until they all got home. Yeon remembered her niece still had the plant from earlier and wondered why she hadn't tossed it.
"Jangmi. Why are you still holding the plant?"
"Because it's nice."
"I know, but it's becoming dried up. Let's toss it, yeah?"
"No. Auntie gave it to me."
"I know, but it'll ruin the other things here."
Jangmi frowned.
"But, it's so pretty."
Yeon reasoned with the child.
"Nex time, Auntie will give you something else, okay?"
Jangmi beamed as she handed her aunt the plant.
"Otay. Promise."
"Thank you and yes."
Jangmi giggled as she wandered a bit to choose something for her mother to wear as Yeon sighed with a smile. She knew her niece liked the piece of nature, but she really didn't want the toddler to spread it throughout the store and cause the staff to be inconvenienced. Yeon placed the plant inside her bag before focusing her attention on something for Seul to wear. Yeon had chosen a few pieces of clothing when she heard her niece called for her.
"Yes, MiMi?"
Yeon glanced at Jangmi and noticed that a little boy was with her. She kneel to be at eye-level with a concerned look.
"Hi. Jangmi, who's your friend?"
"This is Howon. He lost his uncle."
She introduced the other toddler as Howon held back tears, but still sniffled.
"Oh. Well, hi, Howon."
She glanced about her and wondered if the boy's uncle was still in the store or something. Yeon stood again to scout for the boy's uncle, but there were only other females walking about. She kneel to Howon's eye-level again.
"Um, where was the last time you saw your uncle?"
"I don't know."
The boy replied and Yeon wondered how she was supposed to find his family member.
"Okay. Let's go to the front and see if we can find your uncle, Howon."
Yeon decided to head to the front to purchase the clothes while informing the staff of what had occurred. Just when Yeon was informing the boy of his new situation, Howon became upset. In the end she left her contact with the staff while Yeoon took both children to Vecchia e Nuovo which was a restaurant and bakery on the same floor as Lucky Chouette. Both children were hungry and Yeon thought it would be better if they were still in the same area for the uncle to find his nephew. After ordering Yeon messaged Seul about the situation and a moment later her boss' name popped up calling.
"Hello, Mr. Lee?"
Yeon answered with a confused tone.
"Uh, yes. I'm Yiyeon Park. How do you know that? Oh, uh yes, he's with me."
Yeon glanced at Howon learning that he was the nephew of Sangyeon.
"Um, we're at Vecchia e Nuovo. Uh, yes, we've already ordered."
The pair were too engrossed with the menu as they made a game out of it to listen in on Yeon's conversation.
"Yes we're on the fourth level. Ah, yes. See you soon."
Yeon ended the call while looking over at Howon.
"Howon, you're uncle will b-"
"Uncle!"
Howon exclaimed upon seeing Sangyeon entered the restaurant a moment later. Yeon's gaze went to the male as she watched the pair soon hug while her boss informed his nephew that he shouldn't have wandered and all that other stuff. Sangyeon's attention went to his secretary.
"Thank you for watching him, Ms. Lee."
"Um, you're welcome, Mr. Lee."
"Hi."
Jangmi greeted Sangyeon with a smile upon remembering him.
"Hi, to you, too."
Sangyeon greeted in a softer tone than he did Yeon.
"Did you and Howon become good friends?"
"Yes!"
"Yeah, Jangmi gave me this."
Howon held the leaf that Yeon had put away earlier. She couldn't resist the pair when they begged to see and play with it.
"Yeah, it's a token from something earlier today."
Yeon shot Sangyeon a small smile hoping he wouldn't probed further.
"I see. Did you say thank you?"
"Mmhmm."
Soon the staff brought out their meal and Yeon suggested for Sangyeon to join them so that Howon could eat before leaving.
"I want to sit next to auntie." Howon stated as he moved to sit next to Yeon.
"You don't want to sit next to me?" Sangyeon asked.
"Nope."
"But I want to sit next to auntie." Jangmi whined as she stood off to the side.
"You can sit next to uncle." Howon suggested, but Jangmi frowned.
"No."
This caused Sangyeon to slightly pout as he played along with the kids.
"No one wants to sit next to me?"
The pair shook their heads as Yeon stifled a laugh which caused her boss to glance at her. Upon seeing his supposed hurt look Yeon couldn't help but let the words flow on out from her mouth.
"Are you jealous?"
"Not at all." He replied nonchalantly while composing himself.
"I see."
Eventually, Yeon managed to get Howon to sit with his uncle leaving Jangmi to sit beside her. It wasn't that bad as the quartet ate and talk for a while before Seul messaged her sister. Yeon decided to cut their meal short after informing Sangyeon about the situation with her sister. The four bid one another goodbyes before parting. Yeon hoped that her boss wouldn't ask about her real name and just let things be, but she received a messaged later that day with him asking if he should address her with Park instead of Lee. Yeon didn't respond and would deal with it on Monday.

Midnight: Chapter 11
Previously:
“Can we please talk about Kalen? I feel like we should tell him I am his father as soon as possible...”
Currently:
 “He just met you yesterday. I don’t know if we should tell him yet.”
 “I feel like the sooner the better. He should get to know me as his father.”
I sigh, still apprehensive about the whole thing. He kept talking.
 “I know you may not like me, but please don’t keep my son away from me.”
I had a migraine forming as my energy leveled back out.
  “As much I would like to punch you, I wouldn’t keep Kalen away from you now that you know. We can tell him together and then maybe you can take him tomorrow for the evening.”
Clark’s face formed a frown.
  “You won’t be there with us?”
  “No, you two desperately need some father-son time. Besides I have something to do tomorrow night.”
Clark looked at me, now he was the one glaring.
  “Gia you leave this house unsupervised and I swear I will melt the door handles so you can’t get out.”
  “Jokes on you Kent. I am not leaving unsupervised, actually I think I’ll be pretty safe considering everything. I have a date tomorrow.”
  “Date?” He questions me.
  “Arthur asked me out and I’m going.”
I felt pings of hurt quickly shielded by forced indifference. There was no shock however, which surprised me.
  “What aren't you surprised? Wait a second....you knew already didn’t you.”
  “I have super hearing, I was headed in this direction it was impossible not to listen. Are you sure about dating him?”
  “Yes I am. So you’ve got kid duty tomorrow night.”
He was disappointed but I didn’t dwell on it.
 “I won’t begrudge you a night out. However I think I need to borrow you in the morning.”
  “Why?”
  “We have to tell mom.”
 I dropped my face into my hands.
  “Do you need me to be there? Can’t you just tell her?”
 “Ohhh no. I’m not facing her alone. Besides you might as well get it over with. She is going to demand to see you anyway once she finds out about Kalen.”
  “Fine I’ll go but I feel like we should write a will for when she kills both of us...”
*Morning*
I was tired from last night and Kalen was up rather early this morning, and between all the nervousness I had about not only telling Mrs. Kent but also my date with Arthur later, I was unable to get restful sleep. It was about 8:00am and I was standing at the stove cooking some pancakes and bacon when Clark showed up, once again not as Superman but as himself. Kalen didn’t seem to recognize him without the suit and went back to coloring in a book that Alfred acquired for him.
   “Good morning Gia and Kalen.”
   “Morning Clark. Have you eaten yet?”
I asked him to try to be as cordial as I could to him in front of Kalen.
  “If you have any extra I’d like some. You have always made the best pancakes, just don’t tell mom I said that.”
I giggled at the thought of Mrs. Kent giving Clark a hard time over choosing someone else's food over what he was raised on. I continued to make more pancakes, flipped two of them so they could cook on the other side.
   “Kalen did you say good morning?”
   “Momma I don’t know him.” He doesn’t look up from his book.
“You still need to speak when someone is speaking to you. Mr. Clark said, ``Hi, what do you say?”
  “ Good morning.” Once again not looking up.
  “Look up when you are talking. Address him correctly or I will take the coloring book away. Get it together.”
He looks up in a panic at my mom voice, then looks at Clark who had been watching the interaction with interest.
  “Good Mo’rning Mister Clark.”
  “Good Morning Kalen. That looks like a cool picture you are coloring. Can I see?”
Kalen had been coloring a Jurassic park coloring book. Clark came over, pulling up a chair next to him.
  “You are a great artist!  Who is this tough guy in this picture?”
He points at the page.
  “That is a T. Rex. He was one of the biggest dinaspours mommy says. She said they aren’t alive anymore, but she said that about Supa’ man too and I just saw him!”
I watched with interest as Clark digests what his son just says, but the smile never leaves his face.
   “She is right but who knows maybe they just went to another planet. For now though we will have to settle for a really cool picture colored by you.”
He hands him a new crayon and Kalen proceeds to talk his ear off, and he enjoys every second of it. I let them clean up the table and announced the food was ready. I brought the plates over to the table.  I went to grab some juice and to my surprise Clark was cutting up Kalen’s food for him. It gave me the warm and fuzzies to see Clark interacting with his son. It was something I never thought I’d get the chance to see. I made Clark a plate while he focused on Kalen, and then made one for myself. We ate our food in relative quietness. Once Clark was done with his mountain of food, he looked at me, clearly wanting me to brooch the topic with Kalen. I knew the time had come, especially with the rest of the house still sleeping.
   “So Kalen Baby I wanted to talk to you about something really important. How do you feel about not having a dad?”
  “I get sad momma. I wish I had a daddy.”
  “Here’s the thing sweetie. You do and up until now he couldn’t come see you. He would like to meet you if that’s okay?”
Kalen’s eyes lit up and I don’t think I had ever seen him so happy.
  “Really momma?! Really?! He comes here to see me?!”
He was excited and started bouncing around in his chair.
  “Yes, Kalen he is already here, you see Mr. Clark is your dad baby.”
He turns and it’s like seeing him for the first time, despite them having just colored together. Clark smiles at Kalen in a comforting way, clearly nervous at the little boys reaction, Kalen still stares, blinking slowly.
  “It’s really awesome to meet you buddy.”
   “You my dad?”
  “Yes son I am. Like your mom said I couldn’t exactly come see you before, and now that I can I want to hang out with you a lot more. Would that be okay with you?”
  “Yes, Mr. Dad”
I laughed slightly as Kalen combined the names and Clark’s laughs a little too.
  “You don’t have to call me Mr. Dad. You can call me Clark or Dad, whatever you feel okay with.”
  “Otay. Can we finish coloring now?”
Just like that the hard part was over. It was kind of a relief for us to tell Kalen and honestly as excited as he was about meeting his dad, I was very grateful Clark had stepped up. I looked at the clock, noting that we would need to leave soon to get to Mrs. Kent’s house.
  “Ummm okay you can keep coloring for 15 minutes while mommy goes to get dressed. Then you have to come get dressed, because we are going to go meet your dad’s mommy.”
I smiled as they continued to interact, I left the room and immediately felt bad, it hit me how wrong it would have been not to tell Clark. I would have deprived them of so many moments, and that wouldn’t have been right. For once I had been glad about the other plans fate had for me. I tried to dress as modest as possible, settling on a soft pink sundress with thin straps and a white cardigan sweater. I did my hair in a bun, with tendrils of hair down around my face. I was finishing up my hair when I heard Clark and Kalen come up the stairs, Kalen still chatting away, I went into the hallway finding Clark had carried him up the steps.
  “You know he is fully capable of navigating the steps right?” I asked him with a smirk.
  “That I am aware of. I just wanted to hold him, was that so wrong?”
I shake my head at the sight.
  “Nope. It’s not. Now I’m going to get him dressed and then we can go. Can you find Bruce and ask if we can borrow one of his cars?”
  “Sure, it sounds like he is just now getting dressed. I’ll go talk to him.”
With that Clark goes to leave, and Kalen snaps, crying loudly.
  “Nooooo dad no go yet!”
I try to calm him and Clark turns back around to stop in front of Kalen.
  “Buddy, I’m not leaving you. I am just going to go pick up your crayons and dinosaur pictures. I’ll be right back okay.”
That does not work, I would laugh at the concerned look on Clark’s face if I thought it was appropriate for the time. Clark looks at me, and I hand the small child over to him, and Kalen whimpers folding into his chest and neck. Despite the initial panic, Clark was actually happy that Kalen had reacted like that. I reached up and rubbed the little boys back soothingly.
  “It’s okay Kalen. He’s going to be right back.”
I say and he just locks his arms on his neck in response.
   “Nooooo!!!” He wails. I can’t take it and I begin giggling. Clark cracks a smile and just adjusts him in his arms for the sake of holding him closer. I resigned myself to the fact that Kalen wouldn’t be letting go of his newfound father anytime soon.
  “Okay. Clark I’m going to pull out some clothes for him to wear. I trust you can get him dressed while I go butter up Bruce and clean up the kitchen.”
Clark nods as Kalen finishes sniffling. I walk into the room and find something respectable for Kalen to wear to meet his Grandmother in. I leave Clark and Kalen alone, and find Bruce downstairs with Alfred both drinking a cup of coffee. I walked over to the table sweeping up the crayons and picking up the coloring book.
  “Good morning Bruce and Mr. Alfred. Sorry about the mess we were trying to keep Kalen occupied until I finished breakfast. Speaking of which are you hungry? I made the coffee but I can whip something up really quick?”
I offered while going to the sink about to wash the dishes we left earlier.
  “Gia, it’s really alright we have someone, in fact multiple someone’s to take care of that. You don’t have to do that while you are here.”
  “I mean I have to earn my keep somehow. I don’t want to be in the way. I’m sure having a kid in the house is the last thing you want...”
I started rambling, a habit I picked up for when I was nervous.
  “Personally Ms. Smith I like having the tot around. Keeps me on my toes.”
Alfred says.
  “Please Alfred we are past Ms. Smith. Please call me Gia or Midnight. Neither bother me.”
  “Only if you call me Alfred, the Mr. makes me feel old.”
I smiled and nodded.
  “And as far as the kid goes Gia. I don’t mind you two being here. Honestly I really can’t hear you in this massive place anyhow. Which also brings me to yesterday, you do realize that I am happy to make sure you and your son are provided for?”
 “I don’t like handouts.”
To me handouts were going down a slippery slope that I couldn’t get out of once they got too deep. I had been burned by what I thought was people being nice. Turns out they just wanted things from me.
  “Don’t think of it as a handout. Think of it as a superhero stipend. One of the perks right?”
His smile is wry, and he takes another sip of his coffee. I considered his offer and honestly it was the only way I could feel okay with staying with Bruce in the interim. I could justify it in my own mind.
  “Fine. I guess we can stay but only until I get everything sorted with this whole mess of people trying to come after me.”
  “Sounds like a plan. I can hear that Clark is here. You left him on baby duty already?”
Bruce chuckles as he also browses the paper.
 “More like Kalen wouldn’t let him go. I tried to get him dressed and have Clark come down, but he was not going for it. I didn’t think that Kalen would get so attached this soon. I mean  we told him that Clark was his father and it was like the attachment was instant. He is actually quite shy when it comes to meeting new people. Before he knew who Clark was to him, he still took to him like...like a duck to the water.”
 “Well young people need their fathers. They can make due without them, but in this case if you have one father figure willing let them be that.”
I nodded in agreement and then went on with my original purpose.
 “Alright, well Mr. Wayne, is there anything in my stipend for borrowing a car?”
Bruce raises his eyebrow at that one…
*30 minutes later*
Turned out Bruce didn’t care if I borrowed one of his cars. In fact he said to keep the keys for now while I was there. Ms. A had a day of relaxation in mind while we were gone. Then Bruce offered to have her taken out of state to her nieces house in California. Of course she jumped on an all expenses paid move across the country. She would be leaving us  and I wasn’t ready to deal with that. Clark took the wheel and drove to his mother's house, meanwhile I drifted to the first time I had ever met Mrs. Martha Kent...
*Flashback* The night Clark saved me:
The flight in Superman’s  arms had been more relaxing than I had ever thought flying in someone’s arms could be. I wasn’t able to look down, preferring the darkness of closed eyes to the darkness of the night. I felt really small compared to him and this vast universe he came from.
I was alone in it now. I was free from being in bondage, these new powers that I had no clue on how to control. I was curious about where Superman would take me. Probably a police station or a hospital, some place I would have to break free from again. I would cross that bridge when I got to it I supposed.
Quicker than I thought was possible, we were landing again, and I slowly opened my eyes once I was sure his feet were on the ground. He put me back on my feet and I looked around, we were surrounded by open fields, the long stalks and grass around us flattened from his landing. I took note of the barn and house in the distance, the night was quieter than I expected considering it wasn’t that late.
 “Where are we?”
I asked him, my heart beating fast because I came to the realization rather harshly that I let some random guy who I assumed was a good guy, fly me away to go knows where.
I mean this wasn’t the first time I made a bad decision, but while my last one got me thrown into a cage and experimented on, this bad mistake could get me killed. I began to panic, and even more so because I was from the city, if I did need to run, there was nowhere to hide.
This man could FLY for Christ sakes. He would be able to find me quickly and end me. I started trembling, everything seeming elevated as the beginnings of full panic attack started.
  “Woah, woah, woah Gia I can hear your heart racing. It’s okay...”
Superman steps toward me and in fear I drop to the hard dirt, hands over my face as I curled into a ball. Suddenly, I am overwhelmed with disappointment, confusion, and fear along with the slight undercurrent of determination. I am confused and it feels like having two people in my mind. The emotions were separate and I wasn’t sure where they were coming from, I just wanted it all to stop. I was beginning to blackout, lost in various emotions that I couldn’t control.
Suddenly I feel a hand on my arm, it’s motion soft, and setting.
  “Sweetheart it’s okay. I promise you are safe here. Focus on the sound of my voice and breathe.”
The voice was soft and feminine, definitely wasn’t Superman’s, nor was the noticeably smaller hand now on my shoulder. I tried to follow its direction, trying to use the hand as a  focusing point rather than fearing it. I could hear sobbing, and small whimpers it took awhile for me to realize that it had been me making those noises. The soft voice had not stopped shushing me, as if maybe I was a child.
As the slow breeze drifted over me I grounded myself back in reality. My eyes open, no longer clouded by fear and I come face to face with a woman. Her light brown hair threaded with grays, and soft eyes embedded into face staring down at me. She reaches forward, touching my face gently.
  “There you are. Come on dear, sit up for us.”
I let her help me into a sitting position, looking around, noting that Superman was just off to the side of this woman. Her eyes were still kind and I could tell she meant me no harm. My head was pounding after the rush of all the adrenaline in my system.
 “Where am I?”
 “You asked me to bring somewhere I thought you would be safe. This is the only place I could ensure that. Gia I can promise no one here will cause you harm.”
He comes over and helps me to my feet, and I take a good look at the woman , she is dressed in what could only be considered as mom jeans and a floral patterned shirt.
  “Gia this is my mother Martha Kent, we are on her farm here in Kansas”
She smiles at her son and I briefly wonder how someone this powerful came from a woman like her. I mean not that I knew anything of her, she could have been just as powerful and only hiding it. She steps forward slightly, holding out her hand for me. I shook it  knowing my face had to be full of trepidation.
  “Clark here told me that he helped save you from some very nasty people, but he also tells me you helped save yourself first. Any young lady that could do that is okay with me. Now come on in the house, you’re a little smaller than me but I’d imagine I’ve got some warmer clothes than what you are wearing.”
She smiles then starts walking back to the house, shooting a look of mirth and maybe a knowing look with her son before patting his chest/shoulder area and continuing with her forward motion.
He looks down with a smirk before looking in my direction motioning me forward. Once I am walking next to him in stride on the pathway to the house I say.
  “Soooo all these super powers and your real name is Clark?”
We both laugh as he leads me up the steps and into the farmhouse...
*End Flashback*
The drive to Martha Kent’s home, a place I had called my home for a number of months following the night I met Clark, had gone much quicker than I anticipated. I thought I’d have more time to prepare, but despite Kalen being sleep in the back of the black Mercedes C5500, the ride didn’t seem long at all.
The car comes to a stop, parking in the driveway and for the first time I feel nervousness from Clark that didn’t help me feel any better about any of this.
  “ Your heart is pounding Gia. Relax.”
  “Pot meet Kettle.” I said motioning from me to him In a surprise move, he grabs my hand gently.
  “It is okay. My mother is way more understanding than you think. I’ll be right by your side the whole time.”
I look at him, his eyes wide and blue, begging myself not to get lost in the expansiveness of them. I fell back on my tried and true methods of avoidance to ignore the flutter I got from our energy exchange. He was purposely evening out his emotions which I was grateful for, clearing trying to push down his nerves and focusing on positive thoughts.
He waits until my heartbeat is not as erratic before he gets out of the car, and walking to the front door where Mrs. Kent was waiting. She welcomes him with open arms as she always does, and he smiles wide for her. I look back to Kalen who is still knocked out cold. I smiled to myself at the stillness of the moment, and the. Looking back up to Clark and his mother. I feel her energy change from excitement to concern to happiness. At the happiness she turns to the car.
Clark motions for me to exit the car, still projecting calming energy. I unbuckle the seat-belt, and get out of the car. I leave Kalen in the car, the windows rolled down just enough in the front to hear him clearly if he woke up. Martha Kent’s eyes widened upon seeing me, and tears sprung up in her eyes.
  “Gia Smith! Is that you dear?”
  “Hi Mrs. Kent.”
She holds her arms open wide and smiles. I smile back and fold into her arms. It was a missed feeling as it had been a time I was privy to her hugs all the time.
  “Oh hush with that Mrs. Kent stuff! You know it’s Martha ‘round these parts. Clark you knew I missed my girl! This was a wonderful surprise dear!”
 “Ummmm mom, Gia was not the surprise I was talking about when I called you.”
She looks back and forth  between us, just as Kalen wakes up from his nap. Scared that he was now alone in the car.
“MAMA!!”
A/n: What do you think Mama Kent is going to say?
As always thank you and taglist is open!

Nick Jakoby Easter Imagine/ Headcanons Bright Imagine/Headcanons
Imagine Nick as the Easter Bunny, lol.
Ok, so it's a local charity event for kids
The chamber of commerce is putting it on and there's tons of local community workers out there volunteering their time.
School systems
Civic centers
Pet shelters
Rescue Squad/ EMS/ Local Hospital
Fire Department
And of course, the Police Department
Now, what hilarious here is that Ward has been roped into cotton candy duty with his sweet little daughter because she WORKS her daddy
I mean, the boy never had a chance
And Nicholas has done gone and volunteered himself to be the damn Easter Bunny
To anyone who knows him and his gardening tendencies
And his damn prize winning carrots..
This is the most hilarious fucking thing on the planet
But you know, Nick, ya boy is good natured about most things and takes it in stride.
He's honestly just happy that it's good naturedly ribbing and not bullying
However, you were not happy to see any sort of Easter Bunny at all
See, you had your little sister
Who, for some unknown reason, must've thought that it was the damn devil because she screamed like you threw holy water when she saw him
We're talking total fucking meltdown
And there was just no calming her down
You just had to stand there and hold this three year old who was flailing and screaming at the top of her lungs
Eventually you decided that you'd had enough
If she was this scared there was no point
Yeah, she'd miss the rides and all the stuff
Yeah, you had promised to make an appearance at a couple of your friend's booths
But she seemed to be having some kind of serious tramatic experience over it
And however you want to dice it....you honestly just couldn't listen to the screaming anymore
Maybe next year
However, when you felt a tap on your shoulder you turned around to see the bunny.
"Look, man.  She's terrified and I don't know why but don't worry about it.  We're sorry for causing a scene. We're leaving."
You just sighed.
You were tired and at your wit's end about it
He just nodded that big floofy head and looked at the teary eyed child in your arms.
"My name is Nick." he said.   "And I'm a police officer.  There's no reason to be afraid of me because I'm here to protect you."
Now, your little sister began to chill just a little after that because you HAD taught her that the police were the good guys
Never mind the struggles with police brutality
They weren't ALL like that...and you tried your best to teach her that while sometimes it happened...there were a lot of good guys out there too
"You are?" she asked, tears still in her eyes.
"Yep." he said. "I can take my helmet off if you want and you can see."
"Otay." she nodded.
He reached up and removed the head to reveal a rather handsome Orc officer.
Nick Jakoby.
You recognized him from the news.
"See." he said.  "Nothing but good ol' Nicky here."
She giggled.
That little squirt just giggled.
And judging by the hearts you could practically see floating in her eyes you guessed that she found him just as cute as you did.
"Wanna come back and play?" he asked. "My buddy, Ward and his little girl are working the cotton candy stand.  I could put in a good word for ya."
She squealed and practically leapt out of your arms into his.
You rolled your eyes.
"Nice to know how fast you can be swayed with candy, you little booger." you laughed.
"She's only human." Nick said and winked at you.
Why that cheeky little..!
"But maybe she can have some fun in the jumper castle and I can buy a stressed momma an ice cream?" he asked, hope shining in his golden eyes.
You smiled despite yourself.
"She's my little sister." you said.  "But I'll definitely take you up on the ice cream."
His grin made the whole experience worth it.
Heeeeey, smoochies!!! Hope you enjoyed this!!! I just wanted to get this out for my Frankie Boo and to wish everyone a very Happy Easter if you celebrate it.  I personally do not but my babygirl @winnieslittlepalace does , so ya know.  Happy Reading, guys!!!

Power Rangers + Summer Camp AU
~The rangers are hanging out at Billy's house when he gets the call about Mission Creek. He signed up to be a counselor there the summer before his Junior year. Of course he wasn't allowed to be one at the time but Mr. Martin, the head of the camp, let senior campers sign up before they left and once their old enough he calls them up and ask if they still want the gig. Most kids say no, but Billy jumped at the chance. He'd had some of the best times of his life there and he wanted to relive those memories for as long as possible.
~ The rest of the rangers have no freaking idea what he's talking about when he starts babbling about how excited he is once he comes back from the call. He's mentioned it to them before, but that was during battle and they weren't very focused on what Billy was saying.
~"I'm finally going to be camp counselor. I've missed Mission Creek so much. I can't believe I'm going to be gone for the whole summer-"
~That's when the protests begin, the louder ones mainly coming from Jason.
~"You can't leave! I nee-I mean the team needs you for battles and stuff."
~Billy watches in confusion as Jason's face turns red at the statement while the rest of the rangers just smirk knowingly.
~"I won't be far, the camp is in the mountains and Kim's house is about thirty two miles from the grounds. I'll be there when there's an impending threat. Don't worry Jason, I still be able to defend world."
~"But still what if it comes at night and you're sleeping and-"
~"You think I'd sleep through a monster attack?"
~"Maybe and who knows how long it'll take you to reach us from cam-"
~"Two minutes and fourteen seconds. I did the run a few days ago."
~"Oh." Followed by complete amusing silence as Jason tries to come up with more excuses as to why Billy shouldn't go.
~"I'm sure Billy will be just fine  Jason." Kim tries to reason with Jason but he's not having it.
~"You don't know that. You don't know that." He mutters and it's then that Billy and the others see just how worried Jason really is.
~"I can ask if you guys can come with me. We're usually short a few counselors, I'm sure Mr. Martin will appreciate it."
~Everyone agrees and Jason can breathe easy again.
<>
~ They leave a week after school ends, which happened to be a week before camp starts and the majority of the gang is ecstatic. Except for Tommie and Zack.
~Tommie hates kids, they've never liked them and they're dreading this trip altogether. And Zack doesn't like the idea of leaving his mother alone for so long, sure she's gotten better, thanks to the rangers and their families pitching in for her medical expenses,  but she's not at perfect health yet and he's not sure he wants to take that risk.
~Ms. Taylor has to literally shove him out of the house for him to go.
~They take Billy's van, after the crash his mom's van was replaced. After she got a significant raise at work, she gave it to her son and brought herself a Toyota Camry.
~Trini, Zack and Tommie won't stop calling it the mystery machine.
~ Jason gets the Aux Cord taken away from him after he put on Nickelback.
~"It soothes me."
~"You're a disgrace y'know that." (Trini's Remark)
~They listen to Kim's playlist and when Mayores comes on she brings up the fact that Becky G. looks exactly like Trini.
~The rest of the rangers, including her girlfriend,  just don't see it.
<>
~The drive isn't long and when they get there Mr. Martin runs through everything they need to know within the hour. They have the camp to themselves for a whole week.
~The first thing they do, after Jason makes sure everyone is packed, is hit the lake. It's fun, until Zack loses his trunks in the water.
~"It's not my fault, the current's strong in here!"
~"There's is no current dip thong." (Tommie's Remark)
~They spend the majority of the week hanging out together, when they're all not in a group they split off into two. Kim and Trini disappear to do god knows what. At least that's what Zack says but they mainly just hang out in the kitchen eating all the cheese balls, talking and joking around with the occasional make out session taking place. Zack and Tommie usually go do some dumb shit, like hike up the mountain and see if they can jump off into the lake without breaking anything. And Billy and Jason  hang out in the media room, playing ping pong and pool.
<>
~Billy loves kids but its easy for him to get uncomfortable around them. Kids are touchy feely, Billy's not. By the second day, Jason and the others make sure the kids know to ask Camp Counselor Billy to touch him before doing so.
~Tommie spends a lot of their time explaining what it means to be non-binary person. Some of the kids are little shits about it, but the majority are pretty accepting.
~Zack has these two little girls who follow him everywhere. Bria and Mimi. At first they thought he was cute but once Bria caught him staring at Tommie she realized that he likes them. After that they mainly stick around to give him advice. Sure there like eight years old but Zack takes a lot of what they say to heart. They even set up a tea party date for Zack and Tommie. They made sure to paint Zack's fingernails and to put his hair into little ponytails so that he can look 'pretty for Tommie'.
~Billy and the others get to name their designated cabins, they chose the dinosaurs of their zords.
~After a particularly bad nightmare, Billy sneaks into Jason cabin. He can't sleep and Jason always puts him at ease. Shelby, another counselor, is in his cabin too and he makes sure to let her know where he's going before he leaves.
~A weird conversation takes place with Mikey, a seven year old, in the morning when he wakes the two up.
~Jason struggles to explain what it means to be gay until Trini walks by and sighs. "Hey Mikey, boy can like boys and girls can like girls. Love isn't always shared between a man and a woman." She holds Kim's hand in her own for emphasis.
~"Otay"
~And that was that.
<>
~Tommie discovers a secret love they have for kids when they, Bria, Mimi and Zack are hanging out by the fire. "Kids don't suck, they're alright I guess." She tells Zack as she watched the two run off for smores. Zack nods in agreement, turning away from the little girls to meet Tommie's eyes.
~ Their gaze intensifies before they close the gap between them and BAM!!! Fireworks!
~"I told you they were gonna kiss, I told ya." (Bria)
~They pull away laughing and the rest of the gang cheers. It took forever but they finally got together.
<>
~ Kim and Trini escape to the mountain the day before the last day of camp. They're joking around., laughing, kissing and then Trini just kind of blurts it out without realizing.
~"I love you"
~Kim takes a moment to take in what she had just heard before smiling and pulling the shorter girl into another kiss.
~"I love you too."
~They spend the rest of the night up there, wrapped up in a pillow and blanket. Kissing, watching the stars and just reveling in the feeling of being together.
<>
~"What are we Jason?"
~ It was an unexpected question, a question that Jason didn't really know how to answer. They had been closer, closer than friends but not yet together. It was a weird predicament that Jason was unaware of how he got into or how to get out of it. He wanted to take the leap but he didn't really know how to.
~"I don't know."
~He didn't meet Billy eyes, just stay focused on picking up trash and cleaning up around the camp fire. Everyone else was gone, back to the cabin and now they were the only two left.
~"I like you Jason. More than a friend should like their other friend."
~"I like you to Billy but-"
~Just as he looked up to face the brown boy who was incredibly close to him now.
~"I'm going to kiss you now, is that okay?"  Jason didn't know what to say, so he nodded. Overwhelmed by how forward Billy was being.
~Billy's hands came in contact with Jason's cheeks and his lips crash against his. For a second Jason froze, he didn't know how to react. It felt good, it felt better than good. He moved in sync with Billy, melting into the kiss.
~He forced himself not to whine when the brown boy pulled away.
~"We should date. Do you want to date me Jason?" He nods, still recovering from the kiss.
~"Can we uhh, can we do that again Billy?"
<>
~When camp is over, the rangers are reluctant to leave. College starts in the fall and although their all attending Angel Grove community college, they know their summers will be to filled with jobs and internships to even think about doing this again.
~Tommie and Zack share a teary goodbye with Bria and Mimi as they leave. Zack's is the main one shedding tears.
~The next day, Billy says goodbye to Shelby and thanks her for filling in for him for all those nights he spent in the T-Rex cabin. She says it was no problem before hugging him and Jason goodbye. Her fiancé Tyler is waiting for her in the car.
~The car ride back was bitter sweet.
~"At least we'll always have the memories." (Jason's comment)
~They nod in agreement as they leave the grounds.
~"Hey can I see the aux cord?"
~"NOO!"
<>
The End.
Sorry this is so long, I got carried away.
Summer's is almost over and I was just wondering why no one had done this yet, lol. And also if you caught that Dino Charge reference I love you. I really hope this doesn't suck, please enjoy.
